Hi everyone! I know I have been “missing in action” for a lot of April and the first part of May. April I had a nasty virus that just would not go away and on top of that allergies. The first part of May I went on a beach vacation which was much needed to say the least. I have been working on projects but haven’t been able to share those at this moment but they are coming…I promise. 😊
This month on Eileen Hull’s blog it is ALL about flowers! I created this tag using up leftover ink from one of my previous projects. I started with a blank white 6.25″x3.125″ tag which I laid in the following watered down inks: Eileen Hull’s ColorBox Blends Tutu, Wildberry, Melon and ColorBox Coral Premium Dye Ink. I moved the tag around in the mix of colors to cover the tag completely. I let it air dry but you can use an heat embossing tool to speed up the process. Once dry I embossed the tag with the Daisy Wreath Embossing Folder.
I stamped the Welcomegirl rubber stamp image onto a piece of watercolor paper and inked out onto my glass tray the following colors of ink: Golden, Stop, Uniform, Hydrangea, Melon and Nutmeg. I watered down each ink and then watercolored girl image. Once dry I fussy cut her out and adhered to the card.
I added an assortment of sequins and Dew Drops and Rainbow Glossy Dots to the center of the flowers and adhered to the tag along with bits of cheesecloth.
I stamped a Hello sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and added a few sequins randomly placed to the tag. I finished off with three strands of trim and a button to the top of the tag.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is awesome and enjoy creating!
I love how you created the background of this tag Tonya and might have to borrow that technique! It's just beautiful and so \”you\” Glad you are feeling better ❤
What a lovely tag Tonya! A beautiful inked and embossed background for your sweet Miss – and what a creative use of the embroidery hoop die! Julia xx
