Holiday Snowman Mini Slimline Card

Hi everyone! I’m back with a mini slimline card I created using my very own Sparkles Snowman Stamp Set which can be found over at Blank Page Muse. A mini slimline card measures 3 1/4″x6 1/4″ but I have always used a 6″x6″ piece of folded cardstock to create a 3″x6″ card base. This is a lot easier and you can get four cards out of one sheet of 12″x12″ cardstock or you can use a 6″x6″ pack of cardstock like I did. Anyways, let’s get started!

First, I placed the snowman image onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with water proof Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper.

Second, I used an assortment of watercolors, inks, pastels and colored pencils to fill in the face of the snowman and once dry I cut out. I added a white diamond dot to each eye.

Third, I folded a piece of cardstock in half from the Cyan Consortium Paper Pack and cut another piece down as a mat for the snowman.

Fourth, I placed the “Happy Holiday” sentiment onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper.

I also cut a piece of the blue cardstock that I matted the snowman image to mat the sentiment and placed Foam Pop Dots on the back before placing slightly off the upper edge of the card.

I added snowflake dies, with a sequin and a gem to each, to the sentiment and face of the snowman. I finished by placing clear sequins in random spots on the card.

I’ll be creating more projects with this stamp set so be sure to come back.

As always if you have any questions about this project leave a comment below. Or if you have used this stamp set please share your projects over on Blank Page Muse’s Facebook Group. I would love to see them. Also if you aren’t following Blank Page Muse on their other social medias you can find them on:

Coffee and a Latta Love Tag

Hi everyone! Today on my blog I want to share that I was asked to be a guest designer for Emerald Creek. I’m super excited that I was able to use and showcase some stamps from my good friend Pam Bray who designs for Emerald Creek. I used Pam’s Coffee Sign Board Stamp, Coffee Sentiments Stamps, The Blend Stamps and Unwind Stamps to create an extra large tag. Anyways, let’s get started!

I measured and cut a piece of patterned cardstock 5″x10″ for the tag base. For the second tag I used the largest Tag Diecut and cut a tag from the same patterned cardstock but used the back side of it. I embossed a piece of Cream Cardstock with the Crochet Mandala Embossing Folder and lightly inked with a grayish chalk ink. I placed the Coffee Sign Board Stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with a waterproof Black Ink, stamped onto White Cardstock and added a wash of brown watercolors to the image.

I stamped the coffee beans jar and a few coffee rings from The Blend Stamps, coffee beans and mug from the Unwind Stamps and the “Sending You a Whole Latta of Love!” sentiment from the Coffee Sentiments Stamps. I used an assortment of watercolors to fill in the images and once dry I fussy cut and distressed .

I roughed up the edges of the embossed image and glued to the base of the larger tag. I cut up the Coffee Sign Board Stamp and distressed. I adhered a piece of that stamped image along with a coffee ring from The Blend Stamps onto the base of the tag. I placed Foam Pop Dots to the back of the smaller tag before placing slightly off one side of the larger tag.

Next I glued the coffee bean jar, mug, the cut a part pieces from the coffee broad sign, coffee rings and coffee beans in various spots on the tag.

I placed a mat around the sentiment, added foam pop dots before placing in the upper corner of the smaller tag.

I cut out several flowers and leaves from the Envelope, Folder and Flowers Thinlits and the Floral Silhouettes Thinlits (only at Scrapbook.com), shaped with a Stylus and put together before adding to the tag.

I made bows from cording and added to the flowers to finish off the tag.

If you haven’t been by Emerald Creek’s website to look around you ought to. Besides stamps, they have embossing powder, foils, heat set watercolors and paints just to name a few of the products they have on their site. You can find the web link HERE.

If you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Tea Time with Alice and the Queen of Hearts Tag

Hi everyone! I’m back this month with a whimsical tag I created for Blank Page Muse using the Tea Time Alice and Peek into Wonderland Stamp Set, Bedazzled Diamonds Stencil and Cyan Consortium Paper Pack. Let’s get started!

First, I placed both stamps from the Tea Time Alice and Peek into Wonderland Stamp Set onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Waterproof Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. I used an assortment of watercolors and inks to paint Alice, the Queen of Hearts and rabbit and once dry I fussy cut the image out.

I cut a 8″x3 3/4″ tag from watercolor paper. I added a combination of black and light blue ink to the tag and once dry I used a Mini Polka Dot Embossing Folder to emboss. I lightly inked over the raised areas with a blue chalk ink.

I used the largest tag thinlit from the Tag Collection Thinlits and cut a tag from one of the cardstocks from the Cyan Consortium Paper Pack. I placed the Bedazzled Diamonds Stencil over the tag and applied Crackle Distressed Texture Paste, removed the stencil and once dry I applied a black ink over the stenciled area.

Next I placed and adhered the smaller tag slightly off the larger tag. From my stash I glued an ornate frame diecut onto the tag and placed patterned strips of cardstock on top of that. I placed Foam Pop Dots to the back of the stamped image before placing onto the tag.

I placed playing cards under one side of the stamped image. I used an assortment of flowers and leaves from the following thinlits: Folio Page Pocket and Flowers and Shadow Box Elements Thinlits. I shaped the flowers and leaves with a Stylus, glued together, added either sequin and gems to the center of each before placing onto the tag.

I added loops of thread, pearl sprays and Stickles to the stamped image to finish.

Let’s Make a Snowman Card with the Skinny Mini Book Box Diecut

Hi everyone! I’m back today with card I created using my very own Sparkles Snowman Happy Holidays Stamp Set. You can find it over at Blank Page Muse HERE. It’s still a pinch me moment that I actually have a stamp set! I also used the Skinny Mini Book Box and a few other thinlits, embossing folder and etc. which I’ll share as I get more into making this card. Let’s get started!

First off, I folded a piece of cardstock in half and placed slightly below the cut line on the Skinny Mini Book Box and run through the Diecut Machine.

I used several scraps of plain and patterned cardstock and adhered to the front of the card base. I cut a strip of cardstock and placed into the 3D Crochet Mandala Embossing Folder and run through the diecut machine. I lightly inked over the raised edges before gluing to the card base.

I placed the snowman face and sentiment onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Black Ink and stamped onto a piece Watercolor Paper and cut out both.

I watercolored the snowman and once dry added Stickles to the image.

Next I matted the snowman image before adding to the card base and placed a White Diamond Dotz on each eye.

I cut out several snowflakes from the following thinlits and diecut: Wreath and Snowflake Thinlits, Doodle Christmas Thinlits and 3D Impresslits Snowflake Diecut (retired). I added one snowflake to the base before gluing the matted snowman on top of that.

I layered two of the snowflakes, added Foam Pop Dots to the backs of two and placed onto the base. I glued the smaller snowflake directly to the base, added gems to the center of each one.

I finished by matting the sentiment and adhering underneath the snowman image and adding loops of metallic to the snowflakes.

Happy Holidays Poinsettia Cards

Hi everyone and Happy first day of December! I want to share a couple of cards I created using leftover scraps and cardstock from Blank Page Muse by Pam Bray’s Tattered and Worn 6″x6″ Paper Pad. Let’s get started!

For the first card I folded the black and white dotted cardstock from the Tattered and Worn Paper Pad in half to create a 3″x6″ card base. I cut a 7/8″x6″(scrap of green cardstock from the Cyan Consortium 6″x6″ Paper Pad) and a 3/4″x6″ patterned cardstock and adhered to the card base.

Next, I punched out a circle from patterned cardstock, inked around the circle and placed glue in the center of the circle before placing onto the card base.

I cut out four poinsettias from Watercolor Paper and holly from Green Cardstock from a Christmas set of thinlits by Momenta. I lightly inked over the edges of all the flowers and holly, three of those flowers and the rest of the holly will be used on the next card. I glued the holly to the back of the poinsettia before placing in the center of the circle.

I placed three gold gems in the center of the flower, added Foam Pop Dots to the back of a Happy Holidays sentiment before placing onto the card base. Lastly I added loops of gold thread under the circle to finish this card.

The second card I did the same steps with the same cardstock from the Worn and Tattered Paper Pad to create a card base. I cut a patterned piece of cardstock 1/2″x6″ and adhered to the card base.

I glued the holly to the back of each poinsettia, added gold gems to the center of each along with loops of gold thread before placing onto the card base. I finished off by adding foam pop dots to the back of the sentiment before placing underneath the poinsettias.

My plan is to share a project everyday for the next 24 or 25 days…fingers crossed. That being said please stop back by the blog tomorrow for another Christmas inspired project!

Everything is Coming Up Daffodils Tag

Hi everyone! It’s been awhile but I’m back with a project for Blank Page Muse! I want to share a tag I created using the daffodil stamp from the Flower and Bird Stitches Art Rubber Stamp Sheet. Let’s get started!

I placed a tag into the Crochet Mandala 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Diecut Machine. Side note…lightly spritz the tag with water before placing in the folder and running through the machine and it will hold the embossed image better and not tear the cardstock.

I placed the daffodil stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. I watercolored the image and once dry added a little Stickles to the center of each flower. Next I fussy cut the flower image out and lightly inked over the raised images of the tag with gold ink.

I punched a circle from a green sheet of cardstock from the Cyan Consortium Paper Pack using a 3″ Circle Punch.

From my pile of cardstock scraps I picked out patterned scraps and adhered to the base of the tag. I added Foam Pop Dots to the back of the circle punch and placing onto the tag. I glued two strips of patterned cardstock to the circle before adding the stamped image.

I added sequins, gems and loops of thread to finish off the tag.

Blank Page Muse and Cat Lovers Hop

Hi everyone! Blank Page Muse and Her Peaceful Garden are teaming up to do a blog hop and it’s all about cats! This hop is to celebrate cats of all sizes and shapes during the last full week of October because National Cat Day is October 29th. Also the best part Blank Page Muse is one of the sponsors…lots of cat stamps to choose from…wink, wink!

When you have a chance check out all the cat stamps on the websites: Blank Page Muse and I Brake for Stamps.

Since I’m a lover of all things cats I couldn’t wait to create a little card using the close up cat face from the Cats Full Sheet from I Brake for Stamps Site.

My inspiration for this card is my cat Omega. A little info on her…I actually seen her born (runt of the litter) over eleven years ago and she was half the size of her litter mates. She can be a little diva at times but I wouldn’t have it any other way. She LOVES chin scratches, sleeping next to my pillow at night and can be very chatty if she’s hungry. But most important of all she’s even converted my husband into a cat lover. I told my husband when he proposed that she was part of the package deal. Anyways lets get started on how I created my card.

First I placed the cat stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Black Ink onto a piece of Watercolor Paper.

I gathered up an assortment of inks and watercolors and painted the cat image.

I folded a 6″x6″ piece of patterned cardstock in half to create a card base. I cut another piece of patterned cardstock slightly smaller than the base and two strips of cardstock and adhered all to the card front. I added a mat to the cat image before gluing to the card and I finished off by adding flatback pearls down the side of the card. Be sure to stop by Her Peaceful Garden’s blog for details on the hop. You can find the post HERE.

And I Think to Myself Card

Hi everyone! Did you know that Eileen Hull now has a line of rubber stamps? Well, she does! You can find her stamps at Maker Forte which can be found HERE.

But I’m back this week with a card I created using Eileen Hull’s newest Wonderful World of Flowers Stamp Set.

I had this 5″x6″ card base I had started but never finished (story of my life tons of unfinished projects 😉 ). So I thought this base would show case this set of stamps really well.

First I placed the flowers and sentiment onto the MISTI Stamp Tool, inked with Waterproof Black Ink onto a Heavy Weight Cardstock. Next I used a combo of Watercolors and Colored Pencils to fill in the flowers and once dry I fussy cut a part.

Before adhering the sentiment to the card base I framed the sentiment with a piece of patterned cardstock.

I cut the leaves off of the flowers before shaping all with a Stylus. I added the flowers and leaves to the sentiment along with a button and Dew Drop to the center of each flower and thread bows to finish off the card.

Be sure to stop by Eileen’s blog to see what her Inspiration and Educator Teams have been up to. You can find past posts HERE, HERE and HERE.

An Aspen Christmas Tag

Hi everyone! You know Christmas is only a few months away right? And since it is my favorite holiday I had to created a little pastel Christmas tag for Blank Page Muse using the Aspen Creepy Cute Kid Rubber Stamp.

I placed the girl stamp onto MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with waterproof Black Ink and stamped the image onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. I used an assortment of watercolors and colored pencil to fill in the girl before fussy cutting the image out.

I cut out two, one of each designs, pink and white striped and polka dots tags from the Waterfall Card and Tags Thinlits. I inked the edges and dug out scraps of patterned cardstock to make banners before adhering to the tag along with the girl image.

I dug into my stash of diecuts and added a holly diecut, thread bows and pearl sprays to the corner of the tag. To finish I adhered Pom Pom Trim to the bottom and Hot Pink Ribbon to the top of the tag.
