I found these little file folders at Target in the dollar spot aisle and, of course, I had to pick up a few. I figured I could use one for a coupon holder and have the other to keep scraps and bits together on the latest project I’m working on. Well, I decided I wanted to decorate the one I was going to keep my supplies in and this is what I came up with.
First I gessoed around all the outside edges and inside base twice and once dry I painted over what I gessoed with Sable Brown paint.
First remove the stretchy cord from the flap. Place one of the cut pieces of Black and White Glitter Border Swirl Cardstock on top of the front flap and draw a hole on the backside of the cardstock and then punch a hole. Now adhere to the top of the flap. Cut four 10″ pieces of seam binding. Take two pieces of the seam binding and knot together. Now work the seam binding through the hole of the flap.
Adhere the two small stripes of swirl cardstock to the folds on the folder and the last two pieces of seam binding to the backside of the folder.
