DCC and Ann Butler Blog Hop

Hi everyone! I can’t believe it is already August let alone the second week of August, can you?!?! I’ve been enjoying time with the family and working on several projects (that I can’t wait to share). But anyway, I want to share my project I created for the Designer Crafts Connection and Ann Butler blog hop!

Since this is the first time I’ve ever foiled anything I’m excited to work with Ann Butler’s Geometrics and Toner cardstocks and Diecut Sentiments.

Also I don’t own a laminator to set the foil so after watching several YouTube videos I picked up a few tricks and tips on how to use the foil. So let’s get started on how I created the thank you card below.

First, I placed and secured with washi tape the Gentle Leaves Stencil on top of a piece of Toner Cardstock and apply 3D Adhesive over the leaves stencil with a Spatula.

I removed the stencil and once the stenciled area dried (it will turn clear)a piece of foil can be placed on top of the stenciled area.

I rubbed over the foil with my finger and the Foil adhered to the stenciled area.

Next I fussy cut the leaves out.

I folded one of the Geometric Cardstock in half to create a 3″x6″ card base and lightly applied chalk ink to the front of the card.

I took the remaining piece of toner cardstock and cut a small strip and emboss with a small dot embossing folder. I applied Luster Wax over the raised dots.

I adhered the embossed strip to the front of the card and I placed Foam Pop Dots to the back of the Thank You Diecut before placing onto the front of the card.

I cut a select of the leaves off and adhered to the card front.

I placed flowers (leftover from a pervious project) to the center of the thank you sentiment.

I added metallic thread and sequins to finish off the card.
