ClearSnap: Christmas Cookie Canister

Hi everyone! How can it be December already!?!?! And the 4th?!?! I’m still trying to wrap my mind around that fact that it’s almost the end of the year but I want to share a quick DIY canister project I created for ClearSnap that might inspire you to create a thoughtful gift to give to a family member or special friend.

I started with an empty hot cocoa tin that my sister had given me…nothing like up-cycling something that you would toss in the garbage can. 😀

I cut a piece of Red and Ivory Ticking Cardstock to fit around the lid and container and adhered.

I placed a scallop circle rubber stamp, from the Cookies Clear Stamp Set, onto an Acrylic Block and ink with Wicked Black Ink which I stamped onto a piece of patterned cardstock.


I fussy cut the stamped image out and adhered on top of container lid. I glued the chipboard button to the center of the lid an on top of the button I glued the felt ball. I added mini pom pom trim underneath the “lip” of the container. I cut one recipe card from the Black and White Recipe Cards Cardstock and stamped the mixing bowl and wooden spoon onto patterned cardstock. I fussy cut both images out and adhere to the bottom corner of the recipe card.

I also added the “To” and “From” to the tag stamp before inking with Wicked Black ink and stamp onto a white piece of cardstock. I fussy cut the tag out and punch a hole in the top of the tag. Next I inked the holly stamp with Wicked Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of green cardstock. I fussy cut, shape and add mini red gems to the berries and adhered the holly to the top of the tag. I finished off by tying the tag with baker’s twine to the top of the container. Now all I need is either candy or some sweet treat to add to the inside  before giving as a gift. If you have any question about this project please let me know.

Thankful Gift Box

Hi everyone! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away?!?! Where has the time went to??? I thought I would share a little gift box I created for ClearSnap.

I carefully took a part and emboss each section of the box with the Wood Grain Embossing Folder. Next, I loaded three Art Daubers with the following inks: Candies Yam, Red Barn and Pumpkin Spice Inks and lightly rub in random spots to give a wood grain texture on the box. Once I got the desired wood grain effect that I wanted I put the box back together.

I inked a glass tray with Flagstone and Coconut Inks and add water to each color. I loaded a paint brush with Flagstone Ink mix and splatter each side of the box. Clean brush and load Coconut Ink mix and splatter each side. I fussy cut a doily from the DIY Shop Paper Collection and adhere to the top of the box.

I cut from the Crinoline fabric flowers using the Journaling Cards, Flowers and Leaves Diecuts and lightly ink the center of each flower with Canary Ink.

I added a drop of adhesive to the center of each flower. Next I laid each flower diecut on top of each other and pinched the center of all the flowers and shape.

I inked the feather stamp from the Thankful Stamp Set with Wicked Back Ink and stamp onto a piece of patterned cardstock. I did this twice and fussy cut each feather.
Next, I inked and stamped in Leather Ink the “Thankful” sentiment and two leaf sprigs. I also inked the edges of the sentiment with Butter Chalk Ink and fussy cut the leaf sprigs out and inked another leaf sprig with Clear Top Boss Embossing Pad. I added Copper Embossing Powder, set with a heat tool and fussy cut image out.

I glued the feathers, leaf sprigs and several loops of cording and thread to the upper corner of the box. I added the “Thankful” sentiment to the lid and finish off with flowers and sequins.

ClearSnap and Xyron: Celebrate Tag

Hi everyone! Today I am back to share a project I created for a ClearSnap and Xyron collaboration. Whenever I ink up projects and have leftover ink I grab a blank tag and lay/paint it…I hate to waste ink 😁 and when I need a quick project I have a stash of inked tags ready to go.

How I inked this Tag I used a glass tray which had Coral and Dandelion Inks. Water had been added to each ink and I laid the tag into the ink mixture and made sure tag was completely covered with ink. Then I removed and let dry.


The tag I placed inside of the Printer’s Ornaments Embossing Folder and ran through the diecut machine. I cut the balloon journal card form the Color Washed Paper Pad. I placed the journal card face up in the Xyron Creative Station Lite and ran through the machine. Peel backing off and add journal card to the tag.

Ink the girl and legs rubber stamps from the Dress Up Stamp and Cut Set with Wicked Black ink. Fussy cut girl body and legs.
Ink an Acrylic Block with Pink Sky Chalk Ink. Load paint brush with water and pink sky ink and paint the girl image’s cheeks. Also paint a scrap piece of watercolor paper and let dry. I cleaned the acrylic block and inked with Candied Yam Chalk Ink and I loaded a paint brush with water and Candied Yam ink and paint the girl image’s hair.

I cut a 1″x4″ piece of cardstock and used the Xyron Tape Runner to adhere to the tag.
Next I placed a piece of cardstock onto the skirt diecut and run through the diecut machine. With the tape runner I adhered the girl image, legs, and skirt to the tag. I cut three banners from various patterned cardstock and adhered with the tape runner to the upper corner of the tag.

I punched a flower from the painted water color paper and a leaf sprig from a scrap of green cardstock. I cut two of the leaves from the sprig and adhered a flower and leaves to the waist of the girl. I added a Glossy Dot to the center of the flower and several loops of thread underneath the flower.

I added the “Celebrate” sticker to the banner and the Party Hat to the girl’s head. I finished the tag by tying green seam binding to the top of the tag.

Whimsical Mushroom Jar Hut

Hi everyone! Today Eileen Hull’s and Stampendous’s design teams have teamed up to do Along the Garden Path blog hop! My project is a combination of Eileen Hull’s Make it 3D and Button Jars and Labels dies and Stampendous’s Mushroom Home stamps and Dies. I thought the shorter jar looked like a mushroom stem and would be perfect since I could cut it from matboard.

I started by cutting two of the jars and one of the make it 3D boxes from Matboard, four jars and one of the make it 3D boxes from patterned cardstock. The mushroom top I used the Stampendous’s die and cut four tops from patterned cardstock.

I inked the jars with a tan chalk ink and adhered the patterned cardstock to all of the mat board pieces. I measured a half of an inch up from the bottom on the backside of each jar and made pencil marks. 

I adhered each jar piece to the make it 3D box.

I sandwiched the top of the jars between two of the mushroom top dies and adhered together.

I stamped the circles, door and window on varies pieces of patterned cardstock.

 I fussy cut and adhered the individual pieces together and then added to the mushroom.

I added sequins to the mushroom top, a cord bow, paper flowers and Dew Drops to finish it off.

Vintage Theme Junk Journal

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a junk journal I created for a swap I am in over on Swap-bot. My swap partner LisaLaughs agreed to do a journal no smaller than 4″x6″ with three signatures and with each signature having 10 pieces of paper with an open theme. Since Lisa loves pink and anything vintage I tried to incorporate as much of both as I could. 
The cover of the journal is created from a file folder and I used leftover printables, rubber stamping, receipts, paperbag, envelope, paint chips, cardstock and packaging. 

I used Heidi Swapp rubber stamps all the way through the journal.

A lot of the printables I used are free from Ephemera’s Vintage Garden and the little girl on the cover is from the Land of Nod Studio. I love printing on textured cardstock because it gives the printables a look of being printed on canvas. 🙂

I also created a video to show what was inside and I hope you enjoy. 🙂

Circus Love

Hi everyone! I found these scalloped cards I cut out from the Sizzix Scallop Card diecut several years ago along with a 4 1/2″x6 1/2″ pad of The Great Circus Company from Paper Studio. The set of Graphic 45 Cling Le Cirque 3 rubber stamps I had purchased at a great price at Tuesday Morning (2.99). Which of course I couldn’t pass up. 😉 I couldn’t decide on if I wanted to do Valentine’s Day theme cards or just wanted to keep them generic and finally wound up doing generic theme. So far this is what I came up with…I have a couple of more to do. 🙂

I stamped and used pastel chalks to color the images and then set the chalk with hairspray. Also I printed the sentiments from the computer and I inked all the edges with brown chalk ink.

I added sequins for a little bit of fun bling to the cards. Plus it is flat and should mail easily.

Canvas Corp: Decorative Labels

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a quick project for all you planner loves out there. I have a Filofax personal planner and I am by no means have a very busy life but I do like keeping up with my weigh in, steps, projects, blogging, appointments, daily reading, etc. I like to have labels to write like my daily reading, weigh in and steps on and since I couldn’t find any cute labels out there I decided to create my own. I bought a pack of Avery Easy Peel Return Address Labels (5195) which are 2/3×1 3/4″. I figured that gives me enough room to write down either one chapter to several a day in the area. I took one of the sheets of stickers out and cut in half. That’s 30 stickers which is perfect (two leftover) for the month of February. 

First I shook up the Crushed Shells glimmer mist and since this bottle has a slight leak I had ink inside the capped area. So I took the cap off over the stickers and drizzled and splattered. Also I took the cap and added random circles over the area and then lightly spritzed with Bronze glimmer mist. I used a blow dry to speed up the drying process.
Next I spritzed Candy Apple Red glimmer mist (discontinued) and blowed dried again to speed up the process.

I used this Canvas Corp Cig Stamp CVC Grateful stamp set…

Also I used Canvas Corp Cig Stamp CVC Be Beautiful stamp set to decorate the stickers.

I used red ink and stamped different images from  both sets of stamps. 

Here is the beginnings of my planner for the month of February. I know it isn’t as pretty as some planners I’ve seen out there but it is a work in progress.

A Holiday Wish

Hi everyone! Are you ready for Christmas? Me? No! Every year I say I’m going to be ahead of the game so I can enjoy the season but you know how it goes it just gets crazy busy and before you know it Christmas is here. Sigh…
Well, I want to share two quick projects I created using this month’s cosponsor’s Just For Fun Rubber Stamps. Lets get started.

I started with a Christmas card envelope that I messed up. Instead of throwing it away I decided I wanted to use it as a pocket for a journal…the flap is actually on the end of the envelope which will make it easy to put memorabilia in it.

Christmas July Penguin Card

Hi everyone! I know you’re thinking really??? Christmas cards in July??? You’ve got to be kidding me!!! Well, lets face it Christmas will be here before you know it and for once I would let to be ahead of the game so to speak instead of scrabbling around at the last minute trying to make something.  So I will be sharing a card and other craft related projects here and there this month. 🙂
I used a 6″x6″ paper pad from My Mind’s Eye Merry Collection and Christmas Characters Stamp Set from Inkadinkado. I folded a 6″x6″ piece of cardstock to create a 3″x6″ base, stamped and fussy cut the penguin out, cut, layered  and adhered cardstock to the front of the card. Stamped and cut sentiment out and framed with cardstock and adhered to card. Easy peasy card  using only a 6″x6″ pad and one stamp set. 🙂
