Blooming Birthday Folded Card

Hi everyone! I am back again with another fun project that I created using Eileen Hull’s newest Gift Card Folder and Label 2 Diecut but I turned it into a fun little card.

I started this project by placing a piece of White Chipboard on top of the Gift Card Folder and Label #2 Diecut, running it through the Diecut Machine and I folded all four sides of the diecut down. I inked a glass tray with Melon and Wildberry Blends Inks, added water to each ink and placed the diecut in the ink mixture. I covered completely on both sides of diecut. Once I had it covered I removed and let dry.
I placed each flap of diecut into the Damask 2 Embossing Folder and run through the diecut machine. I cut a strip of patterned cardstock 1/2″x8″, wrapped around the folded card and adhered the ends together to create a belly band. Next I placed the heart stamp from the Bible Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper  I inked two Art Daubers with Salmon and Princess Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and inked the center of the heart with Salmon and the outer edges of the heart with Princess. I fussy cut only the stamped heart out.

I inked the glass tray with Caribbean Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, added water to the ink and painted a scrap of watercolor paper. Once dry I inked the Simple Dots Rollagraph with Tahiti Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and rolled onto the painted scrap of watercolor paper. I punched a circle from paper and adhered to the belly band. I cut a “v” in a small scrap of decorated watercolor paper and adhered to the circle punch on the belly band along with stamped heart, flower and a leaf from my stash. I also added a gem to center of flower.

I placed the Blooming Birthday stamp and the leaves stamp from the Blooming Floral Diecuts and Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked both with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper.

I placed the matching diecut over the stamped sentiment and leaves, secured both with washi tape and run through the diecut machine. I inked the glass tray with Inchworm Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, added water and painted the stamped leaves image. I adhered the sentiment, stamped leaves and flower which was from my stash and added sequins and a gem to center of flower. There you have it a small card that can be added to a birthday present. I think I might try and do some different theme cards just for the fun of it. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Blooms and Birds Tag

Hi everyone! I am back this week with a tag that I created for ColorBox but never got to share.

For this tag I place it into the Mosaic Gems 3D Embossing Folder and ran through the Diecut MachineI then inked the glass tray with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Mint, Citronella and Moss added water to each ink and randomly painted the tag completely with a Paint Brush.

Once the tag dried I inked an Art Dauber with Mint Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and lightly inked over the embossed areas of the tag.

I inked the Faux Postal Rollagraph with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and rolled onto a piece of White Chipboard. I cut the bird and floral stamps out with a Paper Cutter.

I inked a glass tray and watercolored the bird stamp with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Moonstone whole bird body, Caribbean tail feathers and chest, Palomino tree branches, Moss-leaves and Tomato-beak and legs. Next I inked the glass tray and watercolored the floral stamp with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Princess-flowers and Moss-leaves. I placed Crinoline Fabric on top of the Journaling Card, Flowers and Leaves Diecuts and cut out two sets of flower diecuts. For the flowers I inked the glass tray and watercolored seven flowers with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Princess, Posy and Mulberry and let dry. I inked the Leafy Border Molding Mat with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and applied onto a piece of Watercolor Paper and cut leaves out with ScissorsI cleaned off the glass tray and inked and watercolored the leaf with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Moss and Citronella and while still wet shaped the leaf and let dry.

I adhered the bird stamp image to the tag with a small portion slightly off the tag and I added foam pop dots to back of floral stamp image and placed a small portion slightly off on the other side of the tag.

I added a drop of adhesive to the center of six flowers, placed on top of each other, pinched all together in the center and shaped.

I added sequin and a pearl to center of flower and a leaf to the back and adhered to the  postal stamp images. I added a smaller flower with sequin and pearl to the bird stamp image along with several loops of thread. I finished the tag by adhering scraps of pom pom trim, lace and pearls to bottom corner of tag and a button on top of trim. I also cut two 8 inch pieces of white seam binding and tied in a bow at the top of tag. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Stay Cool Fan

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick fan project I created! The weather has been HOT around here…mid to upper 90’s and it’s hard to stay cool so I thought I would create this fun fan using some of my ColorBox inks!

I started by placing a piece of Watercolor Paper on top of the “Postage Stamp” looking diecut from the Creative Book Pages Diecuts. I placed between the cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine. I cut off 1/2″ on each side of diecut with a Paper Cutter. I inked the glass tray with Sunshine Blends 2 Ink  added water to ink mixture, placed the diecut in the ink mixture and once completely covered with ink removed and let dry.

I placed the Geometrics Art Screen on top of the diecut, inked an Art Dauber with Tutu Blends 2 Ink and applied over art screen. Then I removed the art screen and let dry.

Next I inked the following letter rubber stamps “stay” with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of patterned cardstock. I cut cardstock to fit the fan and before adhering I cut a small banner from orange cardstock and glued both to fan.

I inked the glass tray with following Blends 2 Inks: Stop, Golden and Sunshine Blends 2 Inks, added water to each ink, laid a scrap of watercolor paper in the ink mixtures. Once the watercolor paper was completely covered I removed and let dry.

I placed an Adhesive Sheet on the back side of watercolor paper and placed on top of following letter diecuts: C, O (cut 2) and L. Next I placed between cutting plates and run through the diecut machine. I removed the adhesive backing from letter diecuts and placed under the “stay” wording.

I finished by adhering a wooden paddle/stick to the fan. I know it is in no way a substitute for air conditioning but it does help a little to stir a breeze when you are hot and sweaty. Also this would be a fun craft to do with your children too. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Butterfly House Gift Box

Hi everyone! I am back this week with a gift idea for Mother’s Day! I created this little gift box for ClearSnap to be shown in their booth at Creativation this past January and I am finally getting around to sharing this fun piece.
I started by placing the outline of the Butterfly stamp from the Butterfly Clear Stamps onto the Acrylic Block/Precision Press/MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Leather Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of White Cardstock.

I placed the “filled in” image of the butterfly stamp onto the Acrylic Block/Precision Press…the precision press is no longer available but since creating this project I now own a MISTI Stamping Tool which I love. I made sure to line up the stamp with the stamped butterfly cardstock image after inking the stamp with Sandstone Premium Dye Ink and stamped on top of the stamped butterfly image.

I inked three Art Daubers with the following Premium Dye Inks: Coral, Dandelion and Black. I inked a majority of the butterfly image with Coral Premium Dye Ink and the inner and outer edges of the butterfly wings are inked with Dandelion Premium Dye Ink. The butterfly body  was inked with Black Premium Dye Ink. I fussy cut the butterfly image out.

I put a 2″x3″ box together. The second box I cut the lid/flap off and adhere the 3″x3″ piece to the smaller folded flap of box.

Next I glued the other smaller folded flap to the inside of the box.

The smaller flap I glued to the other side of the larger flap.

This creates the roof for the butterfly house.

I cut four pieces of patterned cardstock 2″x3″ and inked an art dauber with Leather Premium Dye Ink and inked all edges of cardstock before adhering to the base of the 2″x3″ box. I measured and mark in 1″ increments on both sides of the roof and cut four 1 1/2″x3″ and one 3″x3″ brown cardstock and ink an art dauber with Leather Premium Dye Ink.

I inked edges of all pieces of cardstocks. On the marked places on the roof, I started at the bottom of the roof and  work upwards by adding the 1 1/2″x3: pieces of cardstock. Before adding adhesive to the 3″x3″ piece of cardstock I folded in half to create a 1 1/2″x3″ roof peak. Then I adhered to the peak of the roof.

I inked and stamp the “Be Grateful” and “For Small Wonders” stamps from the Butterfly Clear Stamps with Leather Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of cardstock. I cut both to 1 1/2″x2 1/2″ plus one plain piece of cardstock the same size.

I inked an art dauber with Leather Premium Dye Ink and ink all edges of cardstock. I then adhered the sentiments to each side of the house. The plain cardstock I adhered to the backside of the house. I punched two mini butterflies from white cardstock and inked both butterflies with Dandelion Premium Dye Ink using an art dauber. I adhered mini butterflies to each side of the house and added Black Gems to the center of each butterfly.

Next I punched from white cardstock a decorative punch (any punch/diecut will work as a long as it fits the front of the base of the box) and inked an art dauber with Rose Premium Dye Ink and ink the edges of the punch. I glued to the front of the base of the box and adhered the stamped butterfly to the center of the base of the box and add black gems to the body.

I placed a piece of white cardstock on top of the Flower Journaling Card Diecut and place both between two cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine.

I loaded an art dauber with Rose Premium Dye Ink and inked flower diecuts, shaped and adhered flowers to each side of the roof.

I added leaf sprigs, pearl sprays and twine/cording to flowers.

I added a mix of gold gems and sequins to the center of each flower. Now all you have to do is add a small gift such as candy or jewelry inside and it is ready to give as a gift.

You have all my Heart Tag

Hi everyone! I am back with another Valentine’s Day project I created for ClearSnap inks and stamps!

I started by inking a glass tray with Melon Blends Ink, added water and placed the Tag into the ink mixture and let dry. (Side note tag doesn’t have to be completely covered in ink.) I placed a piece of Acetate on top of the larger Hearts Journaling Card Diecut and place between cutting plates before running through the Diecut Machine. I removed all loose hearts so I could use the whole heart diecut as a stencil for my tag. I placed the heart stencil on top of the tag and loaded an Art Dauber with Rosebud Classic Pigment Ink and rub over the heart stencil. Next I loaded another Art Dauber with Watermelon Classic Pigment Ink and randomly rub over the heart stencil and let dry.

Next I inked the Exotic Mini Molding Mat with a mix of Petal Point Fluid Chalk Ink Pad: Soft Pastel- Alabaster and Creamy Brown Chalk Inks and stamp randomly over the tag and let dry.

I placed the row of hearts from the Thankful Clear Stamp Set onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and ink with Leather Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto the bottom corner of the tag. I glued a scrap of lace and flatback pearls underneath stamped image.

I cut three patterned gold paper straws and adhere together, wrapped with cording and tie and adhered to the tag.

I added five flatback pearls randomly to the stamped hearts.

I inked the Swirl Heart Rubber Stamp with Leather Premium Dye Ink and stamp onto a piece of colored cardstock, fussy cut heart out and adhered to straws. I doubled up two Pop Dots and place under heart.

I added three clear sequins to tag and cut 10 inches of lace, threaded through top and tie off and adhered button to top lace.

As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

ClearSnap: Pink Holly Memo Holder

Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I have been extremely busy and didn’t get to share this memo holder I created as a gift idea for Christmas. You could change the colors and embellishments for a birthday or as an office anniversary gift.

I started by placing Mat Board on top of Bag, Caddy Diecut and put between the two plates and run through the Diecut MachineI inked a glass tray with Fruit Punch Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, add water and watercolored the front and back of the box and backing of the diecuts and let dry.

I inked a Color Blender with Alabaster Chalk Ink from the Mercantile Paintbox Chalk Ink Set and placed the Lattice Art Screen on top of the backing diecut and apply the Alabaster Chalk Ink. I again applied Alabaster Chalk Ink to the Color Blender and place the Lattice Art Screen on top of the box diecut and applied to the art screen. I put the Bag/Caddy together according to directions on the packaging and cut one backing from patterned cardstock using the Bag/Caddy Diecut and adhere to the back of the completed Bag/Caddy.

I placed a holly stamp from the Cookies Clear Stamps Set onto an Acrylic Block and inked with Wicked Black Archival Ink and stamp onto a piece of patterned green cardstock. I fussy cut the holly image out and shaped.

I wrapped red twine around the Bag/Caddy three times and adhered into place. Next I looped several mint and aqua threads together and adhere to the back of the holly before adding to the Bag/Caddy. I added three red gems to the holly. I tied red twine around 3″x3″ notepad or a set of sticky notes would work too. I finished off by adding a ink pen along with the notepad to the Bag/Caddy.

As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saturday is wonderful and enjoy creating!
