A Cup of Tea Warms the Soul Tag

Hi everyone! I wanted to hop on the blog today and share a quick tag I created using Pam Bray’s Chat Time Rubber Stamps by Emerald Creek. I received this stamp set while I was at Creativation and I was super pumped because Pam is a dear friend of mine and because I finally had my hands on one of her sets of stamps.
I started by placing the larger of the two mugs onto the MISTI Stamp Tool and stamping on a piece of patterned cardstock from the Prima Dulce Collection. I fussy cut the stamped image out and with a Craft Knife cut around the outer edge of the stamped mug to create a slit.
I already had a tag that I had added excess inks from pervious projects to so all I did was emboss it with the Brush Dot Embossing Folder and start adding bits of patterned cardstock I had laying around. Before I adhered the mug to the tag I placed one of the Paper Dolls in the slit.
I decorated the mug with flatback pearls and sequins. I also added flowers and leaves that I had cut from the Floral Garden Diecuts, I shaped the flowers and leaves and adhered loops of thread to the back before gluing to the mug. I also placed the “A Cup of Tea Warms the Soul like a Good Friend” sentiment (I cut it from a scrap piece of G45 cardstock) underneath/next to the mug.

Next I added a bit of pom pom trim to the bottom of the tag and instead of cut off the excess I left it hanging and I tied a lace bow at the top of the tag. There you have it! I’m so happy with how it turned out and if you would like to see more of Pam’s creativity you can stop by her blog HERE. If you would like to purchase Pam’s stamps, digital images and embossing powders you can find the shop HERE

As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Cheers! Box

Hi everyone! I’m back today with my project for Momenta! Since I have several upcoming birthdays I decided I would created a gift box.

I started by taking a part a small box that I had on hand. I folded in one section and place in the embossing folder from the Happy Birthday Stamp and Emboss Set and run through the Freestyle Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I completed the same steps for the other side of the box.

I glued the box back together and inked over the embossed areas with an assortment of chalk inks.

I cut and adhered a piece of patterned cardstock from the Watercolor Metallic Paper Pad to fit the lid of the box.

I stamped the sentiment “Cheers!” from the Happy Birthday Stamp and Emboss Set and placed one of the Nested Oval Borders Metal Diecuts over the sentiment and cut out with the diecut machine.

I cut another oval diecut out from another piece of patterned cardstock from the same paper pad and glued to the back of the sentiment. I also stamped a party hat onto a piece of White Cardstock and fussy cut out.

I added Foam Pop Dots to the back of the diecut and placed on top of the lid.

I added to the party hat and a flower and leaf punch (from my stash) sequins and a gems before gluing to the sentiment. If you have any questions about this project please let me know. Also if you aren’t following Momenta you can find them on FacebookInstagram, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.

Wreath Full of Posies Tag

Hi everyone! I want to share a tag that I hadn’t got around to sharing that I created for ColorBox. I had actual started this tag several months ago. If I ink up my glass tray and I have leftover inks I just grab a blank tag and place it in the mixture. If it isn’t covered I continue to place the tag into any leftover ink until I have it completely covered.

The tag has a mix of the following inks on it: Wildberry, Sunshine and Frog Blends Inks. I inked the Simple Dots Rollgraph with Tahiti Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and rolled onto the tag.

I inked the Wreath Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor PaperI started by inking a glass tray with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks, adding water and painting the following parts of the stamped wreath: Inchworm leaves and shade with Moss. Flowers-AsterMulberryBumble BeeSalmon and Princess and let dry. I placed the doily stamp from the Cookies Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool inked the stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper. Next I inked the glass tray with Mint Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink  added water and painted the stamped doily. Once dry I fussy cut the doily out and adhered to tag.
I fussy cut the wreath out adhered to the tag, added sequins and gems to the flowers on the wreath. I finished by adhering a scrap of lace and ric rac to the bottom of the tag. I also added three glossy dots above ric rac and a seam binding bow to top of tag. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Count Every Beautiful Thing Tag

Hi everyone! I’m back today and wanted to share this colorful and slightly quirky tag I created using Eileen Hull’s Blends Inks.

I started by inking my glass tray with Sunshine and Melon Blends Inks, adding water and placing the tag into the ink mixture. Once the tag was completely covered I removed and let dry. I inked the Ornate Border Molding Mat with Berry Pigment Ink from the Mermaid Paintbox Collection and randomly inked over the tag.

I inked the Doll Faces Rollagraph with Wicked Black Premium Dye Ink, rolled onto a piece of Watercolor Paper  and cut out the face of girl looking straight ahead. I inked the Butterfly Wooden Stamp with Wicked Black Premium Dye Ink and stamp onto a piece of watercolor paper. Again I inked the glass tray with following Taos Petal Point: Amber and the Mermaid Paintbox Papaya Cream and Berry Inks. I added water and painted the butterfly image with ink mixtures and let dry. I fussy cut the butterfly image out, cut down the middle, added Clear Glitter Glue around outer edge of butterfly and once dry I adhered the butterfly wings, one on either side of the face image.
I placed Watercolor Paper  on the Long Classic Scalloped Rectangle Large Diecut, placed between the cutting plates and run through the Diecut MachineBefore cleaning the glass tray I randomly placed the scalloped rectangle diecut into the leftover ink mixture from butterfly. Then removed and let dry. Next I inked the glass tray with Sunshine Blends Ink, added water, placed the scalloped rectangle diecut into the ink mixture and once completely covered with  the ink mixture I removed and let dry. I inked the Ornate Border Molding Mat with Amber Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and stamped onto the scalloped rectangles diecut.

I placed the “Play in the Sun” stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked with Wicked Black Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto the lower half of the scalloped rectangle diecut. Next I inked two leaves from a leaf sprig punch with Turtle Pigment Ink and once dry adhered next to the word ‘thing” along with sequins and a gem.

I placed vellum on top of the Delightful Circles Diecuts  placed between cutting plates and run through the diecut machine. I adhered to the backside of the scalloped rectangle diecut and then adhered to the tag.
I added Foam Pop Dots to the back of the butterfly face image before placing above the stamped sentiment.
I finished by adhering lace to the bottom of tag and adding a button, sequin, gem at bottom corner of tag and tying a bow at the top of the tag. I hope you like this tag as much as I enjoyed creating it. Also if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Bless the USA Card

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a 4th of July card I created for ClearSnap with you all today!

I started by inking  an Art Dauber with Peacock Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and ink over front of the Burlap Creative Card.

I inked the Pledge Allegiance Stamp with Wicked Black Pigment Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of white cardstock. I cut the stamped image to 4″x5″ and roughed up edges of stamped image. Next I inked an art dauber with Chianti Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and inked the edges of stamped image. I rolled the bottom edge of the stamped image under and adhered, added Foam Pop Dots to back and placed to the corner of card base.

I inked the letter “U” of the USA Wood Stamp with Abyss Pigment Ink and the “SA” with Chianti Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and stamped onto a piece of white cardstock. I cut a “v” in the end to create a banner and added foam pop dots to back and place on lower half of card base.

From the Thankful Clear Stamps Set I placed on the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked the “BLESS” stamp with Chianti Pigment Ink and the “HEART” stamp with Abyss Pigment Ink and stamp both onto a piece of white cardstock. I cut the “BLESS” image out and inked an art dauber with Chianti Pigment Ink and inked the edges of the “BLESS” image. I cut with a pair of scissors the “T”, “H” and “E” from the “HEART” image out and adhered above the USA banner. I added foam pop dots to back of “BLESS” image and place above the word THE.

I adhered red tulle, thread, star and a sequin with red pearl to USA banner. I adhered a star and red pearl to top of the pledge allegiance image and added three clear glossy dots to bottom corner of card.

And there you have it! What do you do for the 4th of July? Cookout? Spend the day at the beach or just enjoy the day with family and friends? Also always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Wonder Tag

Hi everyone! I am back with another project I created for ColorBox for their Creativation booth this past January. I know it took me forever to share these projects with everyone but I was trying to space my posts out so I didn’t overwhelm everyone with butterfly projects. 😬

For this project I placed a 3 1/4″x5 1/2″ white tag in the Open Book Embossing Folder, placed between two cutting plates, placed onto the platform and run though a Diecut MachineI inked an Art Dauber with Jade Premium Dye Ink and lightly rubbed over the embossed tag.

I placed a piece of White Cardstock on top of the Ornate Frame Diecut and placed between cutting plates and run through the diecut machine. I inked an art dauber with Dandelion Premium Dye Ink and lightly ink over the Ornate Frame Diecut. I added Gold Gems to the diecut and adhered the diecut to the center of tag.

Next I placed the outline of the butterfly stamp, from the Butterfly Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked with Leather Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of White Cardstock. I placed the “filled in” image of the Butterfly stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool (be sure to line up the stamp with the stamped butterfly cardstock image) and inked the stamp with Sandstone Premium Dye Ink and stamp on top of the stamped butterfly image.

I loaded three art daubers with the following Premium Dye Inks: Bahama Atmosphere and Dandelion. I inked the majority of the butterfly image with Atmosphere Premium Dye Ink. I inked over a small portion the wings, near the body, with Bahama Premium Dye Ink. Lastly I inked the inner and outer edges of the wings with Dandelion Premium Dye Ink. I fussy cut the butterfly image out with Scissors. I adhered a metal tab to the body of the butterfly and added a Pink Gem to the metal tab for the head. I also added two Pearl Pins and Foam Pop Dots to the back of the butterfly and placed in the center of the tag.

I placed the “For Small Wonders” stamp onto an the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked with Leather Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of green cardstock . I cut out the “Wonder” sentiment with a Paper Cutter and cut another piece of yellow cardstock slightly larger than the sentiment and adhered both together. I added foam pop dots and placed sentiment under the butterfly.

I cut and adhered lace and Pom Pom trim to fit bottom of tag. I cut two 8″ pieces of lace and two gold Ric Rac and trim and strung through the top of tag, tied off with twine and adhered a button on top of twine. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Father’s Day Mustache Container

Hi everyone! I am back again today with a quick and easy Father’s Day project that I created using Blends 2 Inks, rubber stamp and a art screen! All you need is an empty container of your choice.

I started by cleaning a container inside and out. I used an empty M and M container that I have received around Christmas. I also remove the labels on the outside and I used a little Goo Be Gone to get the sticky residue off. I placed Watercolor Paper on top of the Rectangle Border Diecut and placed in between cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine. I cut out two diecuts to cover the front and back. I placed the lid from the container on top of watercolor paper and traced with a pencil onto the watercolor paper. Next I placed the Disco Art Screen 1 on top of rectangle diecut and loaded an Art Dauber with Beach Blends 2 Ink and applied over the art screen. I loaded another art dauber with Uniform Blends 2 Ink and apply lightly over screen. I completed the same steps for other rectangle diecut and lid and I inked around the edges of both diecuts and circle with Hydrangea Blends 2 Ink

I adhered both diecuts to container and circle to the top of lid.

I inked the Mustaches Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto White Cardstock
I cut around the stamped image with a Paper Cutter  and inked an art dauber with Uniform Blends 2 Ink and ink edges of mustache tag.

I adhered the stamped image to the corner edge of the diecut that is on the container. I made a bow from red seam binding and adhered to the diecut and mustache tag. And last but not least I filled it with yummy snack bars and candy. As always if you have questions about this project please let me know.

Mandala Flower Gift Box

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a semi quick project with you all today! I have several of these kraft boxes laying around and I thought I would create a gift box for Mother’s Day.

I started by inking the Mandala Clover Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. I inked and stamped four times total. I fussy cut each stamped image out and cut the “stem” off each stamped image.

I inked a glass tray with following inks: CabernetMulberry and Aster Dyestress Blendable Inks and added water to each ink. I placed the four stamped images into the ink mixture and once each image was completely covered in ink I removed and let dry.

I inked the Leafy Border Jumbo Rollagraph (I couldn’t find the rollagragh but found the Leafy Border Mat which is the same thing but not the roller) with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and roll onto a piece of watercolor paper. I fussy cut two stamped leaves out. I inked a glass tray with the following inks: Inchworm and Moss Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks. I added water to each ink and placed both stamped leaves into ink mixture and once each image is completely covered in ink remove. While the leaf images are still damp I shaped each leave.

I shaped each Mandala Clover “flower” image with a stylus and adhered each flower on top of each other and added a button and a gem to the center of flower. I adhered the leaves to the back of flower.

I adhered a paper doily to top/lid of box and added the flower with leaves on top of the doily.

I looped several loops of thread, added lace, a lace bow and glued underneath the flower.

I finished the box with pearl sprays and two pearl top pins. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

I would also like to submit this project for the following challenge:
