Chills and Thrills Momenta Tag

Hi everyone! I am back with a quick and easy Halloween tag I created for Momenta!
I started by cutting a tag from black cardstock from the Metallic Ink Paper Pad. I added a patterned doily and a scrap of an orange diecut from my own stash to the tag. Next I used a scrap of green cardstock (same paper pad) for the 3 and 1 from the Number Cutting Templates  and run through the Freestyle Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I adhered a 2″ Doily to the front of the tag before adhering the “31” on top of the doily. I cut a pumpkin from scraps of cardstock (same paper pad). But before cutting I added Adhesive Sheets to the back to make it easier to put together. I cut a “v” in the end of a scrap of white cardstock before adhering under the 31. Then I added a green mat around the chills and thrills sentiment before adhering to the tag along with the pumpkin.
To add the finishing touches to the tag I pried off the gem from a decorative metal piece from Momenta (retired) and applied clear embossing to the top of it.

I added Black Magic Molten Dimensions Embossing Powder to the metal piece and set with the Heat Tool. Once it was cool to the touch I added a black gem to the center of the metal piece before adhering on top of the lace and pom pom trim at the bottom of tag.

And there you have it! If you aren’t following Momenta you can find them on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Autumn Foliage Planner Clip

Hi everyone! I am back with a planner clip I created for Momenta! With Autumn only a couple of days away I decided I wanted to create a planner clip in a Fall theme for my planner.

I started with one of the binder clips from the The Explorer Journal Binder Clips.
I placed a piece of 5/8″ stretch elastic around an ink pen and the edges of the binder clip before cutting. Since ink pens are different sizes I didn’t include the measurement. You do want the elastic to be a little snuggle so your ink pen won’t fall out of the clip.
I adhered each side of the elastic to either side of the clip.
I cut two piece of cardstock from the Metallic Ink Paper Pad slightly larger…height wise and adhered the bottom of each piece to either side of the clip. I cut on either side of the elastic the cardstock and folded the middle piece under.
I adhered the “tabs” of the leftover cardstock that was cut over the backside of each side of the clip.
I cut a couple of leaves from crinoline fabric using the Leaves, Acorn and Wood Grain Cut and Emboss Templates. Also if you didn’t know Momenta has a new Diecut Machine too. 😊
I watercolored the leaves with an assortment of orange, yellow and brown inks.

I adhered a piece of ric rac and gems to one side of the clip. I added one leaf to the corner of the clip, a couple of sequins, thread and cording to the center of the leaf.
I clipped the planner clip to one of my notebooks and then added an ink pen.
It’s a perfect and stylish way to keep my ink pen handy.

Easy Fresh Eggs Wooden Sign

Hi everyone! I am back today with a super easy project I created for Momenta! I have longed for one of those Farm house signs that is popular but I sure didn’t want to pay $30 or more. Plus I needed it to fit into an odd space above my stove hood in my kitchen.

I had my dad cut a piece of scrap wood 8″x21 1/2″ and I sanded over the board once it was cut to smooth the edges. I started by painting one coat of  White Stencil Paint and once dry I decided it definitely needed another coat of paint since it has a “streaky” look. In total I applied three coats of paint before I was satisfied.
I used the Black Alphabet Stickers for the lettering of the sign. I picked out “FRESH EGGS’ verbiage and all I had to do was make sure I placed the letters in a straight line.
Once the letters were lined up I removed the backing one letter at a time and stuck to the sign. It couldn’t have been any easier. Easy Peasy! If you aren’t following Momenta you can find them on these following social media sites!

Pull Yourself Together Card

Hi everyone! I am back with another quick and easy card I created! As I had mentioned in a previous blog post ColorBox closed their doors July 31st and I still have a few projects that I created using their product…I know I am slow getting them posted…sorry there is only so much of me to go around in a day but I am getting there. 😕

I started by inking a glass tray with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Salmon and Bumble Bee inks, added water, loaded a paint brush and randomly added the ink mixture to the Tiny Dots Creative Card front and then I let dry. I placed the Swirl Dot Art Screen on top of card, inked an Art Dauber with Tomato Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and rubbed over the art screen. Once I achieved the desired effect I was after I removed the art screen.

I placed the Scallop Square Cutting Template on top of a piece of Watercolor Paper, placed between cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine.I inked the glass tray with Bumble Bee Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, added water and placed the scallop square diecut in the ink mixture and once the diecut was completely covered I removed and let dry. I placed the Pull Yourself Together sentiment from the Buttercup Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto the scallop square diecut. Next I inked an art dauber with Princess Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and inked the edges of scallop square diecut and adhered to the card base.

I placed a piece of watercolor paper on top of the Intricate Flowers Border Diecut, placed between cutting plates and run through the diecut machine. I inked art daubers with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Fruit Punch, Princess and Inchworm and inked the intricate flowers border diecut and glued to the lower half of the card base. I inked the Mandala Heart Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper. Then inked a glass tray with Princess Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, added water and painted the stamped Mandala Heart image and let dry. I fussy cut the heart image out with scissors, added Foam Pop Dots to the back and placed on the card. I then inked two art daubers with Tomato  and Posy Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks and inked the lower half of the heart image.

Next I placed the heart stamp from the Thankful Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked with Posy Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper. I fussy cut the heart image out with scissors and adhered to the larger heart.I finished by adding tulle and thread behind the larger heart. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Bouquet Pocket Tag

Hi everyone! I am here with my second Momenta project for the month! Since I love creating tags I decided I would try my hand at making a pocket tag. Plus I had been sick with a stomach bug and about all I could do was lay around and fussy cut flowers and leaves out from the Peony Paper Pad. 😖

I started by cutting a tag, 6.25″x3.25″, from one of the cardstocks from the Watercolor Metallic Paper Pad. Next I cut a piece of polka dot metallic cardstock from the same paper pad 4″x3.25″ and used a scalloped punch on the 3.25″ end. I “curled” the scalloped side down and adhered to the tag.

I fussy cut several leaves and flowers from the Peony Paper Pad.

Before adding the assortment of flowers and leaves I shaped several with a Stylus to give them a little dimension.
I adhered a piece of lace behind one of the flowers and I added several loops of thread to the pocket too.

I added sequins to the center of  two fo the flowers and a little glitter glue on the rest of the flowers.

Love You Card

Hi everyone! Can you believe it is already August?!?!? I blinked and summer is almost over! 😳 I’ve been busy these last couple of months and really haven’t had a chance to enjoy time in the pool like I normally do. Oh well, I’m getting ready to change that! 😎 While I am here I want to share a card I created for Momenta!

I had a bunch of leftover cardstock scraps from another project so I decided I would try and come up with something from what I had on hand and this is what I came up with. I started with a 4 1/4″x7 1/4″ folded piece of cardstock from the Momenta Basic Paper Pad (retired).
I cut a piece of cardstock from the Watercolor Metallic Paper Pad to 3 1/2″x7 1/4″ and adhered to the front of the card base. From the same paper pad I cut a Rectangle Diecut from stripped metallic cardstock and adhered to the card base.

Next I placed a 4″ yellow polka dot Watercolor Doily and a scrap of cardstock that I cut a “v” in the end to create a banner onto the card.

I cut “love you” and the decorative heart diecuts from the Romance Pack Cutting Template from cardstock scraps from the Metallic Ink Paper Pad.

I had a scrap of an Intricate Border Diecut leftover that I added to the card along with “love you” sentiment and decorative heart diecuts. I added a fabric flower and leaf from my stash with sequin and gem to the center of the flower and gems to the decorative heart diecut to finish off my card. Altered Flowers and Butterflies Pillow Gift Box

Hi everyone! I am back today with a project I created for Momenta.
I received a gift in this Plunder Design pillow box and I thought the floral pattern on the pillow box was pretty except for the logo. So I decided I would cover up the logo by altering the box.

First I double up a length of cording and tied a bow on the end of the pillow box.

I cut a stripe of blue and gold cardstock from the Metallic Ink Paper Pad and adhered around the center of the pillow box.

Next I selected a Green 2″ Watercolor Doily and adhered over the stripe of cardstock.

I fussy cut a flower and leaves from the Peony Paper Pad  and glued on top of the doily.

I had a piece of leftover diecut from the Intricate Floral Cutting Template which I inked the butterflies and flowers before adhering to the corner of the box.

I added several loops of green thread under the butterflies and it is finished! Be sure to hop on over to Momenta for more inspiration! You can find them HERE. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Stars on the 4th of July Card

Hi everyone! If you celebrated Independence Day like me and my family I hope you had a great time. Mine was spent lounging in the pool or on the lounge chair reading with a little eating on the side. 😎 I want to share a 4th of July card I created for Momenta.
I started by cutting and folding a piece of cardstock (retired Momenta 12″x12″ Basic Paper Pad Collection) 5 1/2″x4 1/4″ to create the base for the card. I selected a piece of blue cardstock from the Gemstones 8″x8″ Paper Pad and with the Star Confetti Metal Die Template I cut out one diecut. I adhered a piece of white cardstock to the back of the diecut before adding Foam Pop Dots and placing on the card base.

I used a 2″ Watercolor Doily but flipped it over on the back since it was white and adhered to the corner of the diecut.
From the same blue cardstock I cut the number 4 with the Numbers Cut and Emboss Template and adhered to the doily. I cut the word July from red cardstock from the Metallic Paper Pad using the Months of the Year Cutting Template.

I finished the card by adding sequins, gems and a red twine bow to the card. Be sure to stop by Momenta’s website to see the latest projects! You can find their site HERE. As always if you have any questions about this card please let me know.

I would also like to submit this card for the following challenge:

Father’s Day Mustache Container

Hi everyone! I am back again today with a quick and easy Father’s Day project that I created using Blends 2 Inks, rubber stamp and a art screen! All you need is an empty container of your choice.

I started by cleaning a container inside and out. I used an empty M and M container that I have received around Christmas. I also remove the labels on the outside and I used a little Goo Be Gone to get the sticky residue off. I placed Watercolor Paper on top of the Rectangle Border Diecut and placed in between cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine. I cut out two diecuts to cover the front and back. I placed the lid from the container on top of watercolor paper and traced with a pencil onto the watercolor paper. Next I placed the Disco Art Screen 1 on top of rectangle diecut and loaded an Art Dauber with Beach Blends 2 Ink and applied over the art screen. I loaded another art dauber with Uniform Blends 2 Ink and apply lightly over screen. I completed the same steps for other rectangle diecut and lid and I inked around the edges of both diecuts and circle with Hydrangea Blends 2 Ink

I adhered both diecuts to container and circle to the top of lid.

I inked the Mustaches Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto White Cardstock
I cut around the stamped image with a Paper Cutter  and inked an art dauber with Uniform Blends 2 Ink and ink edges of mustache tag.

I adhered the stamped image to the corner edge of the diecut that is on the container. I made a bow from red seam binding and adhered to the diecut and mustache tag. And last but not least I filled it with yummy snack bars and candy. As always if you have questions about this project please let me know.

Summer Floral Altered Jumbo Paperclip

Hi everyone! I’m back today with a project I created for Momenta! I created this easy bookmark with several bits and pieces I had leftover from my past Momenta projects.

I started by folding a 3 1/4″x8″ piece of lilac/purple and gold polka dot cardstock in half from the Watercolor Metallic Paper Pad and cutting a “v” in the end of both before sliding one end of the cardstock around a jumbo paperclip. I adhered both ends together  and added a doily from the 2″ Watercolor Doily Collection.

I had several floral scraps leftover from the Peony Paper Pad and part of a diecut leftover from the Floral Cutting Template Diecut. I fussy cut a flower and several leaves out from the leftover scraps. I shaped the leaves before adhering to the backside of the flower. Before adhering the diecut to what I had cut out I inked the leaves with green ink.

I added foam pop dots to the back of the floral mix and placed on the bookmark. I glued sequins and gems to the flowers and leaves and I placed green thread and pearl sprays to the corner. Also from the same leftover diecut I cut out the butterfly and added pink ink to the wings before adhering to the bookmark.
This project was under an hour to complete and would be perfect to give as an add-on gift with a good book. If you need more inspiration go to Momenta which you can find HERE. Also if you have any questions about this project please let me know.
