Crafty Card Gallery: Just a Note of Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a quick card I created for the Crafty Card Gallery. For this month’s challenge we had to come up with a thank you card.
I started with a folded 3″x6″ piece of cardstock as my base and cut a piece of typewriter cardstock slightly smaller than the base of the card.

I  dug through my mass collection of scraps and then cut various sizes of cardstock which I adhered to the bottom half of the card. The vintage typewriter is a digital image I found online and can’t remember where I found it. Just do a google/bing search for vintage typewriters and there’s a ton of images out there.

I printed and then fussy cut the the typewriter out, used a little chalk ink to give it an old look. I also cut a slit in the typewriter so I cut add the “Just a note of thanks!”(printed off the computer) in and make it look like it was actually typed out. I finished off the card with two little hand cut banners, button, sequin and a dew drop.
The hardest thing about this card is the fussy cutting. 🙂 If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Sunday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Crafty Card Gallery: Be Thankful

Hi everyone! It’s me and I’m here to share a quick card I created for the this month’s challenge over at the Crafty Card Gallery blog. We had to create a card in the theme of Fall which could be either leaves, fall colors, pumpkins or thanksgiving.
I started with a 6″x12″ piece of polka dotted cardstock which I folded in half to created a 6″x6″ card base. I cut four pieces of cardstock/scrapbook paper down to fit the front of the card which I then adhered to the middle of the card.

Next I printed off the turkey and “Be Thankful” images. I fussy cut the turkey out and the be thankful sentiment I cut from the whole saying Keep Calm and Be Thankful. I adhered the image to the card and added stickles to the leaf, turkey and acorns.

I adhered a small piece of cardstock to the corner of the card along with the sentiment and a button.

A very easy card other than the fussy cutting. 🙂 If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Crafty Card Gallery: Clyde’s Pumpkin Patch

Hi everyone! I’m here to share my card I created for the Crafty Card Gallery. The theme for the month of October we had to either use pumpkin/jack o’lanterns or chocolate.
This is what I came up with for my card. The base is a folded 6″x6″ piece of purple cardstock. I cut and layered patterned cardstock/scrapbook paper which I adhered to the base of the card.

The Clyde’s Pumpkin Patch image is cut from Echo Park’s Chillingsworth Manor  Poster  and Tickets sheet of cardstock. I distressed the edges and then inked. Then added pop dots to the back to give it some “height”.

I cut three thin strips of orange tulle and made mini bows out of them. I adhered behind the image along with some black and white polka dot flowers and some mini lime green balls picks that I had bought at Christmas but never used. I also added sequins, dew drops and black lace.

I finished off the card with ric rac and buttons. I’m really pleased with how the card turned out and was very easy to make.
Also I am submitting  this card for the orange and black or Halloween themed challenge over at Paper Wings Production blog.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saturday is awesome and enjoy creating!

When Your Giddy Up has Got Up and Left

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a card I created for the Crafty Card Gallery blog. This months theme is animals and this is what I came up with.
I used a pre-cut card base from K & Company’s Julianne collection. I love the fact its cut to size and all you have to do fold. I stamped the Da Vinci Horse from Stampendous! onto a piece of Vanilla Fleur Glitter Cardstock  and adhered to the top of the card base  Next I cut out the “Old Dan” horse which is a free printable from Eclectic Anthology. I roughed up the edges of the printable, added part of an old zipper along the bottom of the printable and glued to the base. I printed the sentiments from the computer, cut out my own banner, used an oval distressed metal pick to adhere both sentiments to the card. I used Dew Drops to finish up my card.

I think this is a fairly easy card to do if I do say so myself. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!!!

#1 Dad Easel Card

Hi everyone! This month over at the Crafty Card Gallery we had to try a new technique. Well, if you know me I love taking a 12×12 sheet of cardstock and making four 3″x6″ cards out of that one sheet. After much trial and error…I tried gesso and a stencil and let me tell you I had a very big mess but I did manage a few gessoed dots on the top part of my card without smearing. I did decided to finally try my hand at a easel card and this is what I came up with.
I cut a 6″x6″ cardbase from Calamity Jane Stripe cardstock and the easel I cut a 6″x11″ with folds at 4″, 4″,1″,1″,1″ from brown cardstock.
The sailors digital image is from Eclectic Anthology. I printed on cardstock and fussy cut out. I cut a piece of cream cardstock and distressed the edges and inked and then adhered the sailor image to the top of it. Next I added gauze, twine around the edge of the cream colored cardstock and then adhered to the base. I fussy cut sea life from a sheet of scrapbook paper that is from Paper Studio. I adhered those along with real mini seashells, dew drops and sequins around the edges of the base.

I folded the brown cardstock and adhered to the back of the card.

Next I cut the leftover striped and red cardstock and glued three of the sides to the back to make a pocket. It will be perfect to add a small note and gift card. Now I have a father’s day card finished and need to create one more. 🙂

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Sunday is awesome and enjoy creating!!! 🙂

A Little Birdie Told Me…

Hi everyone!!! Spring is almost here!!! Days are getting longer and a little bit warmer which has got me in the mood to create something fun  and springy. 🙂 I have a card I created for the Crafty Card Gallery and this month is something  birthday related.
I stared with cutting a card base using the Sizzix Card, Scallop #3 die from Moss Green Glitter Cardstock. Next I gathered up my card stock scraps, two stickers from the Robin’s Nest: Spring Sticker and White Dew Drop  to use on this adorable card. The little birdie is from the Little Spring Birdies college sheet from Altered Pages. I fussy cut one of the bird out and added a sequin, Crystal Stickles and a little party hat that I cut from my scraps. The birthday is sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up Simple Sayings II set.

Isn’t the little birdie just festive???

You Make my Heart Flutter

Hi! I hope everyone had an awesome Valentine’s Day. Mine was spent in a very cold house with no electricity because of a snow storm that came through the day before. I have determined that I would have never made it as a pioneer because I don’t do roughing it very well. I was so happy that it finally came back on Saturday…three days is way too long!!! The hubby and I wound up going out to eat on Saturday and to see Steep Canyon Rangers perform for our Valentine’s Day presents to each other.
Well, this is the card I created for the February Valentine’s Day challenge over at the Crafty Card Gallery blog.  The card is made out of a 3.5″x6.75″ mini paperbag. I folded the top half of the bag underneath the bottom “flap” and then I cut slightly smaller than the bag scrapbook paper to cover all surfaces.
Next I use the Sizzix Bigz Beautiful Butterflies and the Hearts and Brackets dies to cut out two butterflies and a small hearts. Also I used two dress pins for the butterflies antenna.

You can add candy, gift card or some other fun treat to the little bag card.

The sentiment I used the computer to print it off.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

It’s Your Day

Hi everyone!!! It’s me Tonya and I’m here to share my card I created for the Crafty Card Gallery blog. The theme for this month is either black and white or penguins. Well, I do have some penguins stamps but decided to go the black and white route.  I used the backside of the Wind Flame with Thermal Icing , Black and White Glitter Border Swirl and Black Glitter Swirl on White cardstock from the Robin’s Nest to create the base and decorate the front of my  5″x8″ card along with some other scraps I had laying around. The corset diecut is from Gina’s Designs which I painted with white acrylic paint and once dry I added extra fine glitter to the top of it. Next I added gathered lace to make a skirt and last but not least I printed out “It’s Your Day” sentiment to the card.

Super easy card to make!!! It could be used either for a bridal shower or wedding card.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saturday is awesome and enjoy creating!!!
