Gratitude Card

Hi everyone! I’m here to share my design team card I created for the Crafty Card Gallery Blog. This month’s challenge is Thanksgiving/thank you theme. Well, I created a gratitude card. Gratitude means a feeling of thankfulness or appreciation. I’m thankful for my family, a loving husband, family, friends, talent to create and I’m most thankful for a God that has given me ALL of that and so must more.

I used Trees of Gratitude rubber stamp set from Unity Stamp Company. I love how the card turned out but with rainy weather and the photos I took the coloring of the card just did not turn out the way it looks in person.

The card measures 4 1/2″x8″ and I used kraft cardstock for the base and then I used a variety of scrapbook paper, paper leaves, button, Dew Drop and Color Box Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk ink.

If you have any questions let me know, hope your Monday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

Crafty Card Gallery: Spooky Cute Pumpkins

Hi everyone!!! I’m here to share two cards I created for our monthly challenge over at the Crafty Card Gallery. The theme for this month is pumpkins and this is the cards I came up with.
Both cards bases are cut from a 6″x6″ piece of cardstock and then folded into a 3″x6″ base for each card. The first is card is very easy to make. I used scraps of cardstock, buttons, Dew Drop, Ric Rac, and I used one of those $1 stamps that you can get at Michaels and stamped jack-o-lantern on a scrap of orange cardstock. Pretty simple huh? 🙂

The next card I used Damask Black and White cardstock for the base of my card which I inked all edges of with Martha Stewart Stem Green Chalk Ink. I also used scraps of cardstock, buttons, Dew Drops, a doily that I glimmer misted with Tattered Angels Peach Delight and the 31 is cut from Sizzix Funky Brush dies. The vintage pumpkin image (I cut the image down) I got from Ephemera’s Vintage Garden. There are five more Halloween images that are perfect for cards too.

If you have any questions about either card please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your Friday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

The Crafty Card Gallery Design Team Office Supply Challenge

Hi everyone! I would like to share a card I created for The Crafty Card Gallery Design Team. The challenge for this month was to include something that you would use in the office. I used the Sizzix Rolodex diecut and a Avery peel and stick tab which is at the top of the Rolodex card.

I used a 6×6 inch square piece of cardstock which I folded in half and various scraps which I inked all edges with Color Box shabby pink Cat’s Eyes. I also used from the Simply Stories 6×6 Fab{U}lous paper pad the BFF saying which I adhered all paper, flowers, ric rac and buttons to the card.

I hope this little card gets your creative juices flowing  and inspires you to dig into your office supplies that you have lying around and see what you can create. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy creating!

What’s on My Desk?

I would like to share my first project I created for the Crafty Card Gallery design team challenge of “What is on your desk?”. For this challenge we couldn’t go out and buy any scrapbook paper, embellishments or new stamps. The team had to use what we had on hand or on our desk. Since I have packed up almost all of my craft supplies I had to dig through boxes…I’m still in the middle of getting my dream craft/guest bedroom ready….once that is finished I will share photos 🙂
Below is the card I created…

I used a 7×6 inch piece of My Mind’s Eye patterned paper which I folded in half to give me a 3 1/2 x 6 card. Since I always have scraps of cardstock and pattern paper laying around I cut various strips for the front of the card. I inked all of the edges with Versa Magic Dew Drop Chalk Ink  in Aquatic Splash and then adhered to the card front. Next I stamped the Inkadinkado snowman stamp with Versa Magic Dew Drop Chalk Ink in Sahara Sand and then cut the image out. For the snowflake I used chipboard and cut it out using my Sizzix snowflake die. I then inked it with Versa Magic Dew Drop Chalk Ink in Oasis Green. When it was dry I lightly Sprayed Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist in Pearl on the snowflake. Once dry I adhered the snowflake to the front of the card and then glue the snowman image to the corner of the snowflake. The finally touches I used some Prima swirly pearl bling…I’m not sure exactly what it is called but you get my drift and last but not less I added some Robin’s Nest Dew Drops in Fresh Mowed Grass to bling up the snowflake.

Please check out the other design teams blogs and see what they had on their desk too when you get a chance.
Thanks for looking and I hope this inspires you to create something fun and enjoy creating!!!

Crafty Card Gallery DT and a Art Journal Page Thrown in too

I would have shared this sooner but have been under the weather this week. I do now feel a lot better. First I would like to share some super fun news…drum rolls please… I made the Crafty Card Gallery Design Team…I’m doing the happy dance. Me along with 17 other super talented crafty folks were selected to Jennifer Restivo’s inaugural design team.

If you get a chance please go check out the blog and see just how creative everyone is.

Also I would like to share a quick photo of a page out of my art journal I had worked on. This page is actually made out of a toilet paper roll. First I flattened the roll, used a bone folder to get sharp edges on the roll. The front I wanted to share my cousin Lorie’s birthday. I used scrap’s of scrapbook paper, heart button embellishment, baker’s twine, stamped July the 4th and finally used some left over Crafty Secrets images.

On the other side, which I had a total blast creating, I used scraps of scrapbook paper, eyelet, Prima flower with a brad in the center, Prima wings, Martha Stewart crown punch with a button in the center, the baby is a leftover Crafty Secrets image that half of the body had been cut away. So to cover up this obvious flaw I made a “nest” out packing paper…I think it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself…***smiles***…and last but not least I used some Pink Paislee stickers for the date.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires you to create something fun!!!
Enjoy creating!!!
