Crafty Card Gallery: Always and Forever

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day. The hubby and I went to Bluegrass Underground for a concert in Cumberland Caverns. Yep, music in a cave. The acoustics are incredible and the temperature inside is 56 degrees year round which I still think it is cold but yesterday the temps where 32 degrees and it actually felt warm once we got inside the cave. That was my Valentine’s Day gift along with a trip to Sonic afterwards for a Butterfingers Blast…yum!
Anyway this month’s theme over at the Crafty Card Gallery blog is Valentine’s Day and I want to share the card I created. For more info and photos you can find my blog post HERE.

This card I started with a 5 1/2″x5 1/2″ folded cardbase which I cut a 5″x5″ piece of patterned cardstock, inked the edges and adhered to the cardbase.

Even though the card looks hard to put together it really isn’t.  I cut the following pieces of patterned cardstocks 3 1/4″x5″, 2 3/4″x5″ and 2 1/4″x5″ and used a decorative punch (5” side) on each piece and then measured 2 1/2″ of the punched edge (the center) and cut with in a 1/2″ of each piece of cardstock. I then “curled” the cut edges around a pencil and then adhered each piece on top of each other to create a pocket.

I used the Doily diecut to cut a doily from off white piece of cardstock, ink edges and then glued to cardbase and inside the “pocket”.

I cut the big leaves from the Holiday Greenery diecut on off white cardstock. I then inked with a variety of peach, tan, brown, yellow and green chalk ink. I blended the colors together and then wadded and crinkled the leaves up and then shaped the ends with my stylus. I folded down the middle and inked the center with brown ink.

The smaller leaves also come from the Holiday Greenery diecut too. I shaped those with the stylus and then I adhered all the leaves and paper flowers around the “pocket” of the card along with twine which I made a bow out of. I finished off the with a sentiment from Canvas Corp’s Grateful Stamp Set and two little twigs from a tree.

If you have any questions about this card please let me know.

Now for something fun! I will be giving away a goodie bag of things (such as blank cardbases, ribbon, buttons, RN dew drops, sequins, rubber stamp, etc.) that can be used for your own projects and all you have to do is be sure to comment and also become a follower of my blog! Pretty easy peasy huh? I will announce the winner Monday, October 26th. So be sure to comment below and become a follower of my blog for a chance to win!

Crafty Card Gallery: Celebration Seeds

Hi there! I know it has been awhile since my last post but me and my hubby are now first time grandparents…we are very happy, my son moved but stayed in state…insert a crying face even if we are two hours away and I have FINALLY started my long awaited craft room which we are still in the middle of doing. My parents came over to help and I am so thankful for them because I would have pulled out my hair with some of the crazy things that happened with the ceiling. After scraping the popcorn off the ceiling the paint crackled and flaked not once but three times which wasn’t fun let me tell you. That meant scraping three different times and dealing with dust but now it looks great along with the new paint color that is on the walls. Hopefully next week my parents will be back to install the new floors. 🙂
Well, I would like to share a card I created for Crafty Card Gallery and this month’s theme is flowers. What I created isn’t a card but a little gift bag which you can put a card inside, gift card or something fun.
I started out with a 5″x7 1/2″ Large Paper Bag which I cut the “flap” off and punched the top of the bag with a decorative punch. Cut and adhered a 5″x5″ piece from the Take Our Breath Away Gypsy Moments Cardstock and ink the edges with green chalk ink. Then I adhered a Black Bookmark off center of the bag.

I cut the Best Wishes image from the Seed Packets on Ivory Cardstock. I love this collection. You can leave it as is or add paint/color the image.

I used pop dots to raise the image off of the bag. I also used thread, tulle, lace, pearl sprays, paper flowers and buttons to finish off the bag. I hope you like what I created and if you have any questions please let me know.

Supplies Used:
Other Supplies:Pink and Lime Green Thread, Lace, Tulle, Buttons, Paper Flowers, Martha Stewart Edge Punch, Pearl Sprays, Chalk Ink

Lets Celebrate!

Hi everyone! I am here to share my project for the Crafty Card Gallery blog and this month’s theme is birthday. I finally used my Silhouette Cameo which I have had for over a year…gasp! If I had known it would have been this easy to used I would have used it sooner.
I used the A2 Box Card Flower file to create this adorable card and let me tell you it was sooooo easy peasy to put together.

I printed Lets Celebrate from the computer and cut the sentiment out, inked the edges and snipped the end to create a banner and then adhered to a pipe cleaner.

I actually cut another set of flowers out because I wanted “more dimension” to the flowers. The second set of flowers I inked and shaped before adhering on top of the other flower. I added sequins and a flat back pearl to each center.

I love the way this turned out! It is so colorful and fun  and I can’t wait to give it as part of a birthday gift. If you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Party Time

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a card I created for the Crafty Card Gallery blog. This month’s theme is chocolate, cookies or sweets.  Well, since I have an embossing folder of cupcakes and I found this cupcake journal card which is from Crate Paper I thought this is the perfect combo. The cardbase measures 4″x5″ folded and the cardstock is from Craft Smith Gradients Collection.

I added a red sequin and a red dew drop to the cupcake to finish off this card. I went simple this month because of the fact that I pinched for time and for fear of loosing electricity since we got about an inch of rain which turned to ice but so far so good I still have power. 🙂

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!
