Poinsettia Gift Box

Hi everyone! I’m back with my second project of the month for Momenta! Since Christmas is only nine days away I thought I would share a quick and easy gift box that can be mass produced.
I started by running the Baker’s Box Cutting Template through the Freestyle Diecutting and Embossing Machine. I cut two diecuts out of Kraft Cardstock.  
I folded and adhered the tabs and the bottom to create the box.
From scraps of cardstock from the Metallic Ink Paper Pad I cut four poinsettia, two holly and a couple leaf sprigs. 
To create one flower I shaped two flowers and one holly with a Stylus. I adhered one flower on top of the other, added the holly and a leaf sprig to the back. I used a circle punch and punched a circle from one of the scraps of cardstock from the Peony Paper Pad and glued to the flower. I finished off by adding a sequin and glossy dot to the center of the flower and I did a messy loop of thread and glued behind the flower. 
I adhered the finished poinsettia to the upper corner of the lid of the box. From my stash I added the Merry Christmas sentiment next to the flower.

Doilies and Flowers Drawer

Hi everyone! I back with another project in the same week for Eileen Hull!  I used the Stacking Drawer Diecut, Flowers and Leaves Journaling Cards Diecuts and Eileen’s new Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets which are perfect for this type of project!

I started by applying the Adhesive Sheet to the Chipboard and adding the patterned cardstock (both sides) from the Best of Jillibean Soup Paper Pad (I think the paper pad is retired) before placing it on top of the Stacking Drawer Diecut and running it through the Diecut Machine. I put it together according to the directions on the packaging.

I cut flowers and leaves from the same paper pad using the Flowers and Leaves Journaling Cards Diecuts and shaped with a Stylus. I fussy cut two doilies from one of the cardstocks and two strips of patterned cardstock.

 Before adhering the strips of patterned cardstock around the cover I added cording, long enough to tie into a bow, around one side of the cover. I glued the doilies on top of along with the flowers, leaves and bows I made out of sewing thread. To finish off the flowers I added glossy dots and sequins to the center of each flower.

I dressed up the inside of the drawer with pink trim…I made a couple of mistakes which I won’t point out…that covered those and no one is the wiser. 😬

I packed all sorts of goodies inside since this is for a swap I am in…I should have taken a photo of all the things before packing it I know. Flowering Friendship Container

Hi everyone! I am back to share another project using Eileen Hull’s newest Paper Flower Party Collection! I wanted to decorate a container and fill it with goodies for a friend so I started with this empty container.

I measured and cut patterned cardstock to fit but my container was slightly bigger than the cardstock so I cut a small strip to cover the empty space. Since I’m adding an initial over the strip of cardstock it won’t be noticeable.

Next I cut out flowers and leaves from the following diecuts: Rolled Flower 3 PK, Romance Flower and Spring Leaves.

I inked the edges of the flowers and shaped with a stylus.

I started with the smallest petal section of the flower and started rolling and shaping as I went. Once I got the flower the way I wanted I glued together.

Next I added trim and the letter to the front of the container along with some punched flowers, Dew Drops and a button.

The lid of the container I adhered a doily and the Rolled Flower 3 PK and added two of the larger leaves to the flower along with a couple of buttons and a dew drop to the center of the flower.

I adhered gathered tulle and twine in the bare spots of the lid.

The yellow flowers are from the Romance Flower diecut I wadded up four of the flowers and then added a brad to the center of the flower and then shaped.

The other two yellow Romance Flower diecuts I wadded up and then flattened back out, folded in half and rolled to create a flower bud.

I added the smaller spray of leaves from the Spring Leaves diecut to the rolled flowers and finished off with pearl sprays and two pearl pins. Now all I have to do is fill it up with goodies. 🙂

Jane Austen and Tea

Hi everyone! Last month was a sparse month as for as projects and blogging went  I started the next phase of remodeling of the laundry room/den and kitchen. My parents have been coming over four days out of the week each week which I am very thankful for…it has been slow going but without them it would definitely be a snails pace as far as what has been accomplished so far. Ceiling have been scraped of popcorn and painted up to where the den ends and the kitchen begins as well as walls primed and today we start painting the walls with an actually color…YEAH!!! 
Well, enough about remodeling and on with this little teacup I created. I started with Teacup diecut and cut it from Anna Griffin’s Garden Party Stack and assembled according to the directions.

 I adhered a wade of tissue paper inside of the teacup. I purchased the Jane image from Art Tea Life by One Crab Apple on Etsy. I printed and fussy cut her out and adhered to the tissue paper inside of the cup. I cut a strip of dark green tulle and tied off every two inches…it beats trying to sewing it…and then I started bunching it up inside the teacup and gluing to the tissue paper as I went.

I used the leaves out of the Secret Garden and the Hydrangea (no longer available) diecuts. I cut those out and shaped. I used my Martha Stewart punch for the little leaf sprigs which I shaped also. I added flowers from my stash along with pearl sprays, sequins, Dew Drops, trim around the base and I bunched up a paper doily to finish off Miss Jane and her cup of tea.

I have a couple more of these teacups cut out waiting to be put together and decorated…yes, I have a thing for teacups…and will be sharing these with you when I get the chance. 🙂

It’s a Paper Flower Party with Eileen Hull!

Hi everyone! I am here to share a project I created using diecuts from Eileen Hull’s newest collection that will becoming out in May. Since I love working with flowers diecuts I am so excited about all the new and re-release diecuts coming out!

The Flower Pocket project I actually created last year for display in Eileen’s booth at CHA and I am now able to share it.

I adhered the box together according to the directions and then Mod Podge pieces of an old sewing pattern to the outside and inside of the Flower Pocket. The Heart and Soul Flower Diecut I cut one flower from white cardstock along with a leaf from the Spring Leaves Diecut.

I spritzed the flowers with Wedding Pink and the leaf with Moss glimmer mists. I put those to the side and let dry completely before shaping them.

I glued the flower shapes together along with the leaf and then added a vintage button and a Dew Drop to the center of the flower. I also added pom pom trim, Lace, thread and cording to finish off the box.
I foresee adding goodies to these flower boxes and giving them as gifts in the near future. There are so many ways you can use these!
