Shades of Green Tag

Hi everyone! I’m back this week with a quick and easy Saint Patrick’s Day tag I created. I know Saint Patty’s Day is over but I’ve been a little under the weather and I’m now getting around to sharing. My go to thinlit for this project is the Waterfall Card and Tags Thinlits by Eileen Hull. Anyways, let’s get started!

First, I cut out two of the largest tags from the Waterfall Card and Tags Thinlits since the backs of both cardstocks were white and glued them back to back. I fussy cut all the images out from the free printable that I had downloaded from the Graphic Fairy. It was a free printable that was offered on their instagram page so I’m not sure if it’s still available or not? But you can find other images on their site for free or they have a paid membership option also.

Second, I used two different size circle punches to punch out two of the images but the other images were fussy cut. Before adding all the images to the tag I lightly inked the edges of the tag with a light green chalk ink.

The butterfly I applied adhesive to the center part and bent the wings upwards before placing onto the tag. I used Gold Stickles on the wings of the butterfly and I added Liquid Gloss to the berries of the leaves and branch to finish this side of the tag.

Third, I lightly inked this side of the tag with the light green chalk ink along with a few of the fussy cut images. I layered, distressed and adhered the images to the tag. The image of the woman I added Foam Pop Dots to the back before placing onto the tag.

Fourth, I added gems to the hat and added Liquid Gloss to the center of each flower before calling it finished. I really enjoyed using the printable along with the scraps that I used for the tags. I have leftovers from the printable so I’m sure those images with end up in another project down the road.

If you have any questions or comments about this tag please leave them below.

Saint Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold Tag

Hi everyone and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I had these leftover cut a parts from projects I did last year (you can find those posts HERE, HERE and HERE) and I thought I would create another tag and finally use up what has been laying around on my desk. Let’s get started!

First, I cut out a tag from the Tag and Bookplates Diecut (retired), I used two of the postage stamps from the Snail Mail Thinlits and flowers and leaf sprigs from the Folio Page Pocket and Flowers Thinlits using a Diecut Machine.

I also had a stamped image of a shamrock that the center had not stamped completely onto the piece of cardstock so I thought I could cover the center with a sentiment that I added Foam Pop Dots to the back before placing onto the tag.

I adhered the cut a parts to the tag along with scraps of patterned cardstock, the diecuts I had cut out, postage stamps and flowers and leaf sprig (which I shaped with a Stylus) and I added thread and gems to the center of the flowers and the horseshoe. I also added a shamrock eyelet that was in my stash to the bottom corner of the tag.

Well, I still had leftover cut a parts so I decorated the back of the tag to finally use up what I had.

I added paper flowers and a gems from my stash, thread and Ric Rac to complete it. I’m so glad to finally get these bits and pieces used!

Leprechaun Kisses and Shamrock Wishes Tag

Hi everyone! I wanted to hop on and share a St. Patrick’s Day tag I created using the March cardstock set from the Authentique Calendar Paper Pad (I’m still shopping my stash).

First off I cut a tag out from the Tim Holtz’s Tag Diecut Set (largest diecut). I cut all the cut a parts from the March set in the paper pad out and even when further by fussy cutting certain images out. Next I shaped the shamrocks with a Stylus to add dimension, inked edges of the tag, a decorative diecut (from my stash) and cut a parts before assembling all the pieces together. I added Foam Pop Dots to the back of the leprechaun image and green thread bows before placing onto the tag.

There you have it! Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? If you do please let me know in comments and as always if you have any questions please let me know.

Lucky Shamrock Tag

Hi everyone and Happy March the 1st! I wanted to start off the month by sharing a shamrock tag I created!

I started by cutting Good Luck on Ivory Cardstock 6.25″x3.125″ and punching a hole at the top center of the tag.

I inked a glass tray with ColorBox Blends Leaf Ink, added water to the ink, loaded paint brush and splatter tag with mixture. I repeated Step 2 but with ColorBox Blends: Frog Ink and I let the tag dry.

I inked the Shamrock Rubber Stamp with Wicked Black Ink and stamp onto a piece of textured green cardstock. I fussy cut the shamrock image out and adhered an acrylic heart gem to the center of the shamrock image.

I inked the “lucky” sentiment from the Dress Up Stamp and Cut Set and stamp onto white cardstock, cut out and ink edges with Ice Jade Chalk Ink and cut a banner from the  piece of green cardstock, emboss with the Waffle Embossing Folder (retired). Next I inked the edges and over the embossed area with Ice Jade Chalk Ink. I adhered the sentiment to the banner and the banner to the tag. I glued the shamrock image underneath the sentiment with a small portion hanging off the tag.

I finished off the tag by cutting three 6″ pieces of lace and threaded through the hole at the top of the tag, tied off with thread and adhere a button to the lace. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Friday is awesome and enjoy creating!
