Daydream Paper Clip

Hi everyone! I want to share another project, a paper clip I altered, that was shown in ClearSnap’s booth this past January at Creativation .

I placed the cloud stamp from the Butterfly Clear Stamps onto an Acrylic Block/Precision Press(retired) and inked with Leather Premium Dye Ink and I stamped randomly on one side of the folded piece of cardstock. I inked an Art Dauber with Bahama Premium Dye Ink and lightly ink edges of banner and the cloud images.

I cut the stamped clouds cardstock 8″x3 1/2″ and fold in half, 4″x3 1/2″. I cut a “v” in the end of cardstock to create a banner.

I placed the Daydream stamp from the Butterfly Clear Stamps onto an acrylic block/Precision Press(retired) and inked with Leather Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of cardstock. Next I cut and folded, inked the edges with Sandstone Premium Dye Ink using an art dauber. I cut two smaller banners from patterned cardstock and slide all stamped and patterned cardstocks around the jumbo paper clip and adhered together.

I punched out a mini butterfly from cardstock and inked an art dauber with Rose Premium Dye Ink and inked the mini butterfly, adhered to the “Daydream” banner and add a Black Gem to the body.

I placed the outline of the Butterfly stamp from the Butterfly Clear Stamps onto an Acrylic Block/Precision Press(retired) and inked the stamp with Leather Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of White CardstockNext I placed the “filled in” image of Butterfly stamp onto an acrylic block or Precision Press…be sure to line up the stamp with the stamped Butterfly cardstock image…ink the stamp with Sandstone Premium Dye Ink and stamp on top of the stamped butterfly image.

I inked three art daubers with the following Premium Dye Inks: RoseRaspberry and Dandelion and inked the majority of the wings with Rose Premium Dye Ink, ink a small portion of the wings, next to the brown, with Raspberry Premium Dye Ink and the inner and the outer portions of the wings with Dandelion Premium Dye Ink. I fussy cut the butterfly image out.

I adhered the butterfly to paper clip banner, added three Black Gems to the body and clear glitter glue to the dots on the butterfly. I looped several gold metallic and yellow threads and glue underneath the butterfly.

Planner Tassels and Planner Clips

Hi everyone! I am back to share  a couple of quick and easy projects for your planner using Eileen Hull’s newest diecuts from the Heartfelt Collection. I created these for Eileen’s booth at CHA/Creativation.
For the planner tassel I cut a couple of flowers from felt using the Stitchy Flower and Leaf Diecuts and twelve 8 inch strips of ribbon and fiber. Next I gathered all the ribbon and fiber and ran it through a small metal ring (the ring I found in the jewelry section of Hobby Lobby), folded in half and made sure it was even before tying off with thread. I adhered the flowers together with a Dew Drop and then glued on top of the thread. I cut a Ball Chain down and ran through the metal ring and then attached to the planner.

For the planner clips I used Bird and Butterflies Diecuts and a variety of scraps of felt to cut the diecuts out. For both the bird and butterfly I adhered the pieces together and then glued to the top of a large paper clip. For the bird I added sequin, mini flower, dew drop and for the butterfly I added a scrap of lace, button, sequin and dew drop to finish both off.
All of these project took maybe an hour and that was only because I had to hunt for supplies so I would say you could knock several out if you are more organized than me. 😉
Be sure to hop over to Eileen’s BLOG and see what the Inspiration Team is up to and as always if you have any questions please let me know.

A Little Bit Planner Crazy

Hi everyone! I am back to share a quick post on these cuties I created for my planner. If you are planner nerd like me you are always searching for cute things to dress up your planner and if you are like me you don’t have lots of money to buy everything you see so you have to get creative.

So after I received a planner clip in a monthly kit that I was subscribed to I looked it over and decided I could create my own. All I used was leftover bits and pieces of cardstock, Matboard, paperclips, Mini Freshed Brewed and Vintage Telephone and Typewriter Movers and Shapers Diecuts and this is what I came up with.

After cutting out all the images on Matboard I adhered a paperclip to the back of each one of them and let dry. Next,  I cut two of each image out from cardstock. I like to cover up the back so you don’t see a big glob of glue. Plus it makes it look neater. 🙂
I cut out more diecuts from cardstock which I fussy cut the indented images from the diecuts like the lids, bans, etc. which I ink and then glued to the diecuts.  Also I added a bit of lace to the dailer of the phone, mini flat back pearls for the keyboard of the typewriter and a mint green jewel to the coffee band. 🙂
I so loved how these turned out and I have more ideas for planner paper clips that I will be creating and sharing in the near future. If you have any questions about these please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Everything is Coming up Flowers

Hi everyone! I am here to share a mini album that I had started over four years ago. I had the basic cover with no decorations on the front and the mini paperbags affixed and inside with no paper or decorations either. I was stumped as to what I wanted on the cover and how the inside should look like so it sat in my pile of unfinished craft projects. Since I am making fans for my soon to be daughter in law and son’s upcoming wedding I had a lot of time in-between fans being cut out on my silhouette so I dug this album (there are many more in that pile too…eek!) out to work on.

I added an assortment of flowers to the lower corner of the album along with lace and velvet ric rac.

For the most part I used Prima Madeline 6″x6″ collection to decorate with but I did use a couple of cardstock/scrapbook papers scraps that complement the collection.

I used four paperbags for the inside which gives me lots of room to add more than the six tags. Also on each cover there is a small pocket with tags too.

A close up of the tags that I punched with my We R Memory Keepers 3″x4″ card punch.

I cut out tags that where in the Madeline collection and paperclip to the outside of each pocket.

I bought the clock image online but for the life of me I can’t remember where if I do I will update. I adhered the bottom half of the image to the flap, added the leaves and flower embellishments and I then cut out a small piece of cardstock, rounded the edges, folded in half and tucked behind the image.

More pull out tags using a variety of tabs…stickers, punches and a old ticket stub that my hubby tried to throw away. 😉

Another cut out tag with clip and a charm that I had received in a swap that I dressed up with a small circle punch, flower, sequins and dew drop (that is on the other side).

The back inside pocket I added these three little tags I received in a swap. I added little oval punches to the top for a punch of color.

There you have it a completed mini album…over four years later…hehe 😉 I do plan on finishing some of these other projects that has been laying around as time permits. I hope you enjoyed having a look at this little album.
Also I would like to submit this following project for the following challenges:
Simon Says Challenge and Word Art Wednesday Challenge #195
If you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is awesome and enjoy creating!
