Pretty in Pink Altered Cigar Box

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Ours was great even if we had massive amounts of rain it was still nice to be able to spend it with family. 🙂
After taking a tiny break from social media I am back to share a project I created for a swap I was in with my sweet friend Lisa on Swap-bot.

For this swap we agreed to alter a small cigar box and fill it with planner goodies.

Since one of Lisa’s favorite colors is pink I went with a dusty colored cardstock from My Mind’s Eye for the outside of the box. The image I found on Tammy Tutterow’s site. I sized it down, printed and fussy cut out. I used a combination of buttons, dew drops, store bought and handmade flowers to decorate the lid.

The inside of the box I used the rest of the My Mind”s Eye cardstock and the vintage print cardstock is from a discontinued line from Canvas Corp. Also I forgot to mention that I painted the edges of the box with a cream colored paint (no need to paint the whole box since you won’t be seeing that 🙂 ) and used Antique Mod Podge to adhere all cardstock to the box. Once dry I applied a coat over the whole box to seal it.

The fun part was adding all the goodies. I added journaling cards, sticky notes, shaped paper clips, washi tape and a 4″ book ring so she can add her favorite washi tapes to so she can keep those close at hand. 🙂

There you have it my first project of the year! 🙂 If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Wedding Bliss

Hi everyone! I am here to share a mini album I created for a friend to give as a wedding gift. The colors of the wedding are a mix of mint green, pink, gold, cream and it also had to have a vintage feel to it.
The wooden frame I have had it for several years and finally found a use for it. I painted it with Tattered Angels Decor and DIY Ivory. This I used as the cover for the album. I used several different embellishments I had on hand. I so loved how the cover looks.

I cut from both of the following collections:  7 Gypsies: Harmony and My Mind’s Eye: On Trend…12 pages…some I mounted to mat board with the Album Cover and Page diecut. I also used the Scalloped Envelope and Large Scalloped Square (both retired Sizzix) from Stamping’ Up. The Scallop Square was used as the back cover for the album.

I LOVE the dress form and how it turned out! I fussy cut that from the Harmony Collection and bunched up tulle which I tied off with thread and embellished with a tiny flower and a tiny heart shaped gem.

There are several pockets and tuck spots which I stamped tags with the Happy Ever After stamp set.

I used Small Antique Silver Rings to attach all of the pages together and finished off with ribbon and lace.
Here is a short video that shows all of the pages. 🙂
There you have it. I am really please with how it turned out.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Lets Celebrate!

Hi everyone! I am here to share my project for the Crafty Card Gallery blog and this month’s theme is birthday. I finally used my Silhouette Cameo which I have had for over a year…gasp! If I had known it would have been this easy to used I would have used it sooner.
I used the A2 Box Card Flower file to create this adorable card and let me tell you it was sooooo easy peasy to put together.

I printed Lets Celebrate from the computer and cut the sentiment out, inked the edges and snipped the end to create a banner and then adhered to a pipe cleaner.

I actually cut another set of flowers out because I wanted “more dimension” to the flowers. The second set of flowers I inked and shaped before adhering on top of the other flower. I added sequins and a flat back pearl to each center.

I love the way this turned out! It is so colorful and fun  and I can’t wait to give it as part of a birthday gift. If you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Blue Snowflakes Card

Hi everyone! I know another wintery/Christmas card but you know Christmas is going to be here before you know??? Right??? Wink, wink, wink 🙂 I want to share this quick Christmas/Winter card I created using 6″x6″  My Mind’s Eye Merry Collection and a stamp sentiment from the Inkadinkado Christmas Characters Stamp Set.
I folded the 6″x6″ paper in half to create a 3″x6″ card base, added patterned cardstock from the pad, inked edges and punched and fussy cut snowflakes out for the card. Next I stamped the sentiment on a piece of cardstock, cut more cardstock to frame the saying and adhered together and to the card. Lastly I glued the snowflakes that I had cut out and punched to the card.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Friday is great and enjoy creating!!!

No Business Like Snow Business Card

Hi everyone! I’m here to share another quick 3″x6″ card I created using My Mind’s Eyes Merry 6″x6″ pad and the Inkadinkado Christmas Characters stamp set. I stamped the snowman on some lined cardstock from the paper pad and stamped the hat, scarf, red bird and carrot on scraps from the same pad and fussy cut out and adhered to the snowman image. I cut various sizes of rectangles and glued to the card along with the snowman image. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of cardstock and glued to the card. Easy peay 🙂

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is great and enjoy creating!!!

Christmas July Penguin Card

Hi everyone! I know you’re thinking really??? Christmas cards in July??? You’ve got to be kidding me!!! Well, lets face it Christmas will be here before you know it and for once I would let to be ahead of the game so to speak instead of scrabbling around at the last minute trying to make something.  So I will be sharing a card and other craft related projects here and there this month. 🙂
I used a 6″x6″ paper pad from My Mind’s Eye Merry Collection and Christmas Characters Stamp Set from Inkadinkado. I folded a 6″x6″ piece of cardstock to create a 3″x6″ base, stamped and fussy cut the penguin out, cut, layered  and adhered cardstock to the front of the card. Stamped and cut sentiment out and framed with cardstock and adhered to card. Easy peasy card  using only a 6″x6″ pad and one stamp set. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

The Fairy of Spring

Hi everyone!!! I’m here to share a project I created using the Eileen Hull: Food Jar, 3-D and Spoon Diecut which is for the New Beginnings-Art with Heart Challenge.  This die has so many possible uses. I wanted to create something with a whimsical vintage Springy theme and this is what I came up with.
The jar base is cut from mat board which I inked all of the edges and then adhered together. I dressed it up with cardstock from the Lost and Found collection from My Mind’s Eye. I added a little bit of tissue paper into the “bottom” of the jar. I fussy cut the Flower Fairy Vintage Graphics out and adhered to the tissue paper, added moss and then proceeded to add lace and the flowers that I had punched/cut out and shaped.

The butterfly and the little birdie is fussy cut from theVintage Spring Printable-Country Living Project sheet. For the butterfly I added a little Stickles and an antenna made from 24 gauge bead wire which I wrapped with Tim Holtz Elements Tissue Tape.

The little spoon is cut from mat board and to get its shape I dampened the bottom half of it. I used the largest stylus to make a “bowl”. I then used an actual baby’s spoon to finish shaping the “bowl” and the handle. Once dry I inked and adhered cardstock to the front and back of the spoon and inked it again. 🙂

I added a bit of moss, little birdie and a punched flower, sequins and dew drops to finish off this adorable spoon.

Beach Front House

Hi everyone! My hubby booked our room this weekend at the beach which I’m super excited about. I am so over this cold weather it’s not even funny.
With the excitement of a vacation and warmer weather around the corner I created this fun little project using the Sizzix Gift Card Holder, House. I think I’m going to use this as a page in my vacation mini to the beach though.
While I was out shopping Saturday I found  My Mind’s Eye Lost & Found 3 Oliver Collection (48 sheets of glittery goodness) at Hobby Lobby on clearance for $10 so I used a sheet from that for the house base. I cut from the Tim Holtz Alterations Scallops die the roof. I used some corrugated cardboard that I put back to create the roof. I distressed and inked it to give it that weathered/rough look. I also fussy cut the anchor from the Creative Imaginations Beach Front Collection…simply gorgeous paper.

The clasp I found at Hobby Lobby too. I thought it would be perfect addition along with the buttons and dew drop that I used to create a gable.

I embossed some Bazzill cardstock with the Sizzix Snowballs embossing folder and added that to the inside of the house. The flap I created a pocket to hold small tags or keepsakes from my trip. The doorway I figure I can either add a photo and/or I can slip more memorabilia behind the “wall”. 🙂

I hope you have enjoyed my take on this Sizzix Gift Card Holder, House and if you have any questions let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

Mason Jar Thank You

Hi everyone and happy Friday!!! I’m back to share a quick card I created for a customer. I used half of a doily, flower diecut, sequins, twine, scraps of scrapbook paper and the Forever thanks rubber stamp from Unity Stamps and the mason jar stamp is from Inkadinkado. I used a 6″ x6″ piece of cardstock and folded to make a 3″ x 6″ card base.

The Forever thanks sentiment I stamped twice on two different colors of cardstock and cut both out and added one on top of the other to make it look like a seal. It’s a super easy card to make!!!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your weekend is wonderful and enjoying creating!!!

Shabby Chic/Vintage Toilet Paper Roll Mini

Hi everyone! I would like to share a mini I created for a swap over at My Scrap Room. We had to use five flattened toilet paper rolls for the inside, a chipboard cover and back, three types of embellishments on each page, tags in each of the “pockets” and last but not least it had to be decorated in a shabby chic/vintage type of theme.

I used a variety of scrapbook paper, My Mind’s Eye: Bramble Rose, Lost and Found Two, Prima, cardstock, embellishments Robin’s Nest Dew Drops, ribbon, lace, buttons, Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp and Tsunami Rose and Ephemera’s Garden printables from their shops and blog.

The mini is so FAT I had to use a swivel hook to keep the mini closed.

The tags for the toilet paper roll “pockets”. I left them blank so my swap partner, Mesha, can either journal, add photos or decorate the way she wants to. 🙂

Some close ups of some of the pages with pull out tags.

I hope this will inspire you to create something fun for yourself or as a gift for someone special.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy creating!!!
