24-7-365 Mini Album and Album Holder

Hi everyone! I am here to share the full reveal of my 24-7-365 Mini Album and Album Holder created using Eileen Hull’s newest Book Club Collection, Stamp and Photo Storage Diecut and Card Box, Planner Storage and Organizer Diecut. These diecuts along with five other sets of diecuts will out some time soon! Are you all as excited as I am? These diecuts are so versatile and can be used to create other projects than what they where originally intended for.

I am going to start off first with the holder. I cut it from Mat Board and then cut from cardstock two diecuts, one for the outside and one for the inside.

I inked the edges of the mat board and all the cardstock and then adhered to the mat board.

I put together according to the direction on the packaging.

I also added lace to around the bottom of the holder to finish it off.

Next I cut two of the Stamp & Photo Storage Dies from Mat Board but I decided I was going to be a little different and create a mini album out of this diecut. 😀

This is what the diecuts look like when they are cut out.

These are the edges I cut off to create the base for my mini album cover.

I inked the edges and covered the front and back with cardstock.

I also adhered cardstock inside along with a pocket to the inside cover.

I used a strong adhesive to glue the spine together and after it was dry I punched two holes so I could add pages.

I sewed four pieces of cardstock inside the journal and tied off on the inside.

I adhered lace to the spine after decorating the cover with a couple of fussy cut images and scraps of cardstock.

Next I added seam binding and a key charm to the spine.

Next comes the fun part…decorating the pages!

I used an assortment of leftover embellishments that I had laying around from past projects.

Where I tied off the pages inside and left the thread long I added four of the Stitchy Flower & Leaf Diecuts on the ends.

The pocket that holds the “key to” tag is actually from a iTune gift card. All I  had to do is add a butterfly printable and attach it with a little washi tape.

I also added used postage stamp, coin roller and printable images throughout the journal.

And there you have it! I absolutely LOVE this newest diecut collection that Eileen has designed! If you want to see more hop on over to Eileen’s blog and see what the Inspiration Team has created with this newest collection! You can find the blog HERE.

Eileen Hull: Flower Basket

Hi everyone! I am  so excited to share my first project from CHA/Creativation using Eileen Hull’s newest Heartfelt Collection! This little flower basket is created with the new Basket Diecut, Mat Board and the Basket Weave Embossing Folder.

After all the pieces to the basket was cut out and embossed I spritzed all the pieces (both sides) with Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist and once dry I splattered with Gold Glimmer Mist. I then put it together according to the direction of the packaging.

I used a scrap of white cardstock and I cut out and painted three of the flowers and a leaf from the Stitchy Flowers and Leaf Diecuts. Once dry I shaped, glued together and added a Dew Drop to the center of the flower.

I adhered the flower between the basket handles with a couple of loops of thread and added lace to the top edges of the basket to finish it off. Be sure to hop over to Eileen’s BLOG to see what the other Inspiration Team members have been up to and as always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Also I would like to submit this project for the following challenge:

Butterfly Angel Journal Part One

Hi everyone! I am here today to share my project this month using Eileen Hull’s ColorBox Blends with the Passport Diecut. The Inspiration Team has shown several different ways to use the ColorBox Blends and you can find those post HERE, HERE and HERE.

For my project I cut the Passport Diecut from Mat Board. I have a large piece of glass that I use as a pallet (very easy to clean afterwards) and I applied Tutu and Wildberry Blends and watered both colors down. Next I taped a doily stencil to the front cover of my book and applied both colors. Once it was dry I removed the stencil and then applied Sunshine Blends to my pallet, watered down and applied a wash to the cover.

The back cover I embossed with the Lace Medallions Embossing Folder. I watered down Wildberry and Sunshine blends and painted the cover.

While letting the covers dry I embossed the spine with Waffle Embossing Folder and inked over it with the Leaf Blends.

Before adhering the covers and spine together I added Stickles over the doily image on the front cover and once dry I splattered with Coconut and Nutmeg Blends. Adhered all pieces together and glued Ric Rac to dress up the edge of the spine.

I had made several frozen Charlotte dolls with Makers Mix but hadn’t found the right project to use them in so I thought this project would be the right time to add one to the cover of my journal. I watered down the Coconut Blends and painted the first coat over the whole doll.

Once the first coat was dry I watered down Nutmeg Blends and applied randomly to the doll and once that was dry I sealed it with Fast Finish Decoupage.

I added fussy cut roses printables, twine and metallic thread to the front cover. Next I adhered butterfly wings to the back of the doll along with a bookplate to finish off the cover.

I tied three papers per signature to the inside of the journal and finished off the spine with a variety of seam binding, ribbon, lace, etc. Later this week I will be sharing the inside of my journal. So be sure to keep an eye out for that blog post. 😊
As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Jute Halloween Pocket Candy Holder

Hi everyone! Has the weather started cooling off where you live? Here, we are in the lower 80’s but the nights are starting to fill more Fall like so it won’t be long before I’ll be wearing layers and complaining about the cold weather. LOL 🙂
Well, I am here today to share a Halloween project I created several months ago but wasn’t able to share until now.

Eileen Hull’s Inspiration Team had teamed up with Crescent this past Summer and we got to play with samples of Jute Matboard (you can find this in full sheets 32″x40″ in custom framing shops art stores). For my project I thought the black jute mat board would make a great Halloween project.

I started by cutting a Flower Pocket diecut from the jute matboard and from patterned cardstock (to line the inside of the pocket).

I cut the Medallions diecut out twice from patterned cardstock and put together according to the directions. I added thread, twine along with button, sequin and a Dew Drop to the medallion before adhering it to the corner of the pocket.

The other corner I added a jack o lantern sticker from my stash and finished off with sequins, flower, dew drop and thread.

I can either add candy (which I have none on hand…lol) or use it to keep all of my Halloween goodies in one place. 🙂
If you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is awesome and enjoy creating!
