Hi everyone! I’m back today with a look inside my tiny book. If you missed my post on how I created the cover you can find it HERE. Also I realized I didn’t explain why I called this book an Explosion Tiny Book in the post from Tuesday. The simple explanation is the book won’t/can’t be closed because I crammed so much into the pages inside.

The inside cover I added a piece of a printable that was leftover from another project, adhered a scrap of lace and ric rac to create a flap and placed embroidered flower stickers to either side of the lace. I also glued leaf sprigs that I had cut from the Folio Page, Pocket and Flowers Thinlits to each flower.

The beige colored lace is from curtains that one of my cats shredded…I wasn’t happy about that…but I just couldn’t throwaway the lace so I used a bit for the page. The floral piece of chipboard is packaging from something I had received as a present. I was going to cut something from it with some of my diecuts but I thought it would make a prefect page. The little house tag I cut from the House Ornament Diecut, painted, added a rub on to the roof and flowers that I shaped and adhered to the corner of the tag. I punched a hole into the page, added the tag to a jump ring with ribbon to the page.

Side note before stitching the pages to the inside of the book I used one of the Border Stitchlits (retired) on the piece of fabric with teal embroidery thread, stitched over the diecutted area and added buttons. On the opposite page was a fussy cut image of a bird’s nest that I watercolored and added a fresh eggs diecut from my stash.

The doily I added a tea cup sticker, ribbon and a couple of chipboard pieces from my stash.

The backside of the doily I adhered fussy cut images of a cat with butterfly wings and a party hat to a jar diecut. The next page is an envelope that I cut down. I decorated with scraps of cardstock, a floral diecut, a tab leftover from me cutting a part a file folder and fussy cut images of women and the best friends sentiment. I added the largest tag from the Waterfall Card and Tags Thinlits to the pocket.

I added patterned cardstock to the page before fussy cutting the bee image, watercoloring and gluing down. I had a leftover piece of the bookbinding from the Bookbinding and Label Thinlits that I adhered to the flap on the next page. I added a tulips cut apart and nature sticker to the top of the binding. I cut the smallest tag out from the Waterfall Card and Tags Thinlits from a leftover piece of acetate and adhered to the bottom half of the binding.

The backside of the binding I glued the scalloped diecut from the Waterfall Card and Tags Thinlits to dress up the back side of the flap. For the opposite page I used another tag that I decorated with flowers from the Journaling Cards, Flowers and Leaves Thinlits (retired) and a leaf from the Spring Leaves Diecuts. I also added a cut a part sentiment to the page.

On the back side of the tag I adhered a fussy cut jar printable and glued a flower from the Folio Page, Pocket and Flowers Thinlits and a fussy cut flowers to the jar. On the opposite page (it’s from a candy wrapper) I glued a fussy cut bird to the tab.

The back side of the candy wrapper I created a belly band and added another tag. On the opposite page I adhered scraps of cardstock to the envelope and added the sentiment and women printables to the page.

The envelope I glued cardstock around the “window” and added fussy cut images of flowers. I cut out three of the smallest tag diecuts, decorated and added to the pocket.

I added a spoon sticker and the original sentiment diecut to the doily. On the opposite page I adhered a set of flowers from the Flower, Heart and Soul Diecut (retired) and a leaf from the Spring Leaves Diecuts and a number 8 diecut from my stash to the center of the flower.

On the back side of the fabric I glued trim and pinned a tiny heart tag to the page. On the opposite page I adhered scraps of cardstock, fussy cut flower girl and a mini envelope, and pom pom trim to the page.

I cut out the largest tag (cut down a little to fit the pocket) and adhered a stamped image to the tag and placed inside the pocket on the inside cover. I had originally planned on tying the book closed and had added an eyelet to the back cover so I could run ribbon through but since it is a chunky little monkey of a book I just tied a bow into the eyelet and called it done!

This project definitely didn’t turn out how I had envisioned it would when I first started but I’m sure loving how it “explodes” all over the place.
