Blooming Birthday Folded Card

Hi everyone! I am back again with another fun project that I created using Eileen Hull’s newest Gift Card Folder and Label 2 Diecut but I turned it into a fun little card.

I started this project by placing a piece of White Chipboard on top of the Gift Card Folder and Label #2 Diecut, running it through the Diecut Machine and I folded all four sides of the diecut down. I inked a glass tray with Melon and Wildberry Blends Inks, added water to each ink and placed the diecut in the ink mixture. I covered completely on both sides of diecut. Once I had it covered I removed and let dry.
I placed each flap of diecut into the Damask 2 Embossing Folder and run through the diecut machine. I cut a strip of patterned cardstock 1/2″x8″, wrapped around the folded card and adhered the ends together to create a belly band. Next I placed the heart stamp from the Bible Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper  I inked two Art Daubers with Salmon and Princess Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and inked the center of the heart with Salmon and the outer edges of the heart with Princess. I fussy cut only the stamped heart out.

I inked the glass tray with Caribbean Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, added water to the ink and painted a scrap of watercolor paper. Once dry I inked the Simple Dots Rollagraph with Tahiti Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and rolled onto the painted scrap of watercolor paper. I punched a circle from paper and adhered to the belly band. I cut a “v” in a small scrap of decorated watercolor paper and adhered to the circle punch on the belly band along with stamped heart, flower and a leaf from my stash. I also added a gem to center of flower.

I placed the Blooming Birthday stamp and the leaves stamp from the Blooming Floral Diecuts and Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked both with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper.

I placed the matching diecut over the stamped sentiment and leaves, secured both with washi tape and run through the diecut machine. I inked the glass tray with Inchworm Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, added water and painted the stamped leaves image. I adhered the sentiment, stamped leaves and flower which was from my stash and added sequins and a gem to center of flower. There you have it a small card that can be added to a birthday present. I think I might try and do some different theme cards just for the fun of it. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Fall is in the Air House

Hi everyone! It is hard to believe that in about a week Autumn will officially be here. As many of you know I am not really a fan of cooler weather, leaves changing colors or pumpkin spice latte (I’m allergic to cinnamon) but today I am over on Eileen Hull’s blog sharing how I created this fun little Fall house. I love the colors and the texture…it is the first time using extra heavy gel…and how didn’t I know about this gel sooner??? 😮 Anyway you can find my blog post HERE.
Also I’ve included links to all of the supplies I used in this projects.

Bird and Flowers Altered Bird House

Hi everyone! I am back with another project and this time I altered a birdhouse that I had bought at Target in the One Spot on clearance. It was a Halloween theme birdhouse but I had in mind to do something different with it and this is what I came up with.
I started by tracing the sides and roof onto a piece of paper, I cut out each piece to create a pattern. I then traced the patterns onto watercolor paper and cut each piece out.
I inked the glass tray with Papaya Cream Pigment Ink from the Mermaid Paintbox Collection, added water to the ink and painted all four Watercolor Paper walls and let dry.

I inked an Art Dauber with Papaya Cream Pigment Ink from the Mermaid Paintbox Collection and inked the edges of all the walls. I inked the Ornate Border Molding Mat with Berry Pigment Ink from the Mermaid Paintbox Collection and stamped each of the four walls and once dry adhered each wall to the wooden birdhouse.

I cut four pieces of watercolor paper to fit the roof. And with a scallop edge punch, I punched one side of the watercolor paper, cut another piece of watercolor paper and folded in half. Then I punched both sides with the scallop edge punch. I also punched a Circle from a scrap of watercolor paper. Next I inked a glass tray with Rose Gold Pigment Ink from the Mermaid Paintbox Collection and added water, placed all the roof and circle pieces into the ink mixture and once I got the desired effect I wanted I removed and let dry.

I inked the Simple Dot Rollagraph with Espresso Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and inked all roof pieces.

I adhered all roof pieces to the wooden birdhouse roof. I also added gems to each scalloped edge of roof and adhered the inked circle punch to front of the birdhouse. I added gems underneath the roof on the front of birdhouse, cut and adhered the lace to the front and back of the roof edge.

I placed the bird and wing diecuts from the Birds and Butterflies Diecuts on top of the Handwritten Creative Card and run through the diecut machine. I cut two of each out of the bird and wing. I reversed the Handwritten Creative Card so bird diecuts could be glued together.

Next I inked art daubers with Gulfstream and Coastal Pigment Inks from the Mermaid Paintbox Collection and inked the bird and both wings diecuts. I placed the wings to each side of bird and adhered the bird to roof. I finished by adhering the bow, pearl sprays, flowers and leaves to bird. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

From this Day Forward Wedding Tag

Hi everyone! I’m back with a tag I created in honor of my son and daughter in law’s wedding anniversary that is today. I had these photos laying around and I thought why not create something with them and this is what I came up with.
I started by placing a Size #10 Tag (upper half) in the Floral Tapestry Embossing Folder and placed  between two cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine. I removed and place lower half of tag in the Floral Tapestry Embossing Folder and completed the same steps. I inked two Art Daubers with Leaf and Frog Blends 2 Inks and inked over the leaves and vines of the embossed areas on the tag. Next I inked three Art Daubers with TutuWildberry and Melon Blends 2 Ink and inked over the flowers of the embossed areas on the tag.

I placed the Geometrics Art Screen on top of tag, loaded two art daubers with Tutu and Melon and randomly ink areas of art screen and once I achieved the desired effect I removed the art screen. I inked the glass tray with Coconut Blends 2 Ink, added water to ink, loaded a Paint Brush with ink mixture and splattered the tag.

I cut two photos to fit the tag. I adhered the first photo slightly off the side of tag. The second photo I cut a piece of textured white cardstock slightly larger than the photo an inked an art dauber with Melon Blends 2 Ink and inked the edges of cardstock and then adhered the photo to the mat. I added Foam Pop Dots to back of photo and placed slightly off other side of tag.

I placed a scrap of white cardstock on top of the Journaling Cards, Flowers and a piece of Crinoline Fabric on top of the Leaves Diecuts and run through the diecut machine. I shaped two flowers diecuts with a Stylus and adhered together and added two sequins and a gem to center of the flower.

Next I inked an art dauber with Frog Blends 2 Ink and inked the fabric leaf. Once dry I adhered to back of flower and added to the bottom of the photo.

I looped several threads to create two messy bows and adhered one under the flower diecut and other under the smaller photo along with a few pearl sprays.

I finished the tag by cutting two nine inch pieces of seam binding and tying into a bow at the top of tag. As always if you have questions about this project please let me know.

Hi everyone! I am back with another quick and easy card I created! As I had mentioned in a previous blog post ColorBox closed their doors July 31st and I still have a few projects that I created using their product…I know I am slow getting them posted…sorry there is only so much of me to go around in a day but I am getting there. 😕

Count Every Beautiful Thing Tag

Hi everyone! I’m back today and wanted to share this colorful and slightly quirky tag I created using Eileen Hull’s Blends Inks.

I started by inking my glass tray with Sunshine and Melon Blends Inks, adding water and placing the tag into the ink mixture. Once the tag was completely covered I removed and let dry. I inked the Ornate Border Molding Mat with Berry Pigment Ink from the Mermaid Paintbox Collection and randomly inked over the tag.

I inked the Doll Faces Rollagraph with Wicked Black Premium Dye Ink, rolled onto a piece of Watercolor Paper  and cut out the face of girl looking straight ahead. I inked the Butterfly Wooden Stamp with Wicked Black Premium Dye Ink and stamp onto a piece of watercolor paper. Again I inked the glass tray with following Taos Petal Point: Amber and the Mermaid Paintbox Papaya Cream and Berry Inks. I added water and painted the butterfly image with ink mixtures and let dry. I fussy cut the butterfly image out, cut down the middle, added Clear Glitter Glue around outer edge of butterfly and once dry I adhered the butterfly wings, one on either side of the face image.
I placed Watercolor Paper  on the Long Classic Scalloped Rectangle Large Diecut, placed between the cutting plates and run through the Diecut MachineBefore cleaning the glass tray I randomly placed the scalloped rectangle diecut into the leftover ink mixture from butterfly. Then removed and let dry. Next I inked the glass tray with Sunshine Blends Ink, added water, placed the scalloped rectangle diecut into the ink mixture and once completely covered with  the ink mixture I removed and let dry. I inked the Ornate Border Molding Mat with Amber Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and stamped onto the scalloped rectangles diecut.

I placed the “Play in the Sun” stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked with Wicked Black Premium Dye Ink and stamped onto the lower half of the scalloped rectangle diecut. Next I inked two leaves from a leaf sprig punch with Turtle Pigment Ink and once dry adhered next to the word ‘thing” along with sequins and a gem.

I placed vellum on top of the Delightful Circles Diecuts  placed between cutting plates and run through the diecut machine. I adhered to the backside of the scalloped rectangle diecut and then adhered to the tag.
I added Foam Pop Dots to the back of the butterfly face image before placing above the stamped sentiment.
I finished by adhering lace to the bottom of tag and adding a button, sequin, gem at bottom corner of tag and tying a bow at the top of the tag. I hope you like this tag as much as I enjoyed creating it. Also if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Burlap and Flower Thanks Card

Hi everyone! I am back today with a quick and easy card I created with a pre-bought card base that is the Burlap Creative Card.

I started by inking Art Daubers with the following chalk inks: Misty Meadow French Blue and Twist-Arctic Deep Chalk Inks. I inked over the Burlap Creative Card with the Arctic Deep Chalk on the outer edges of card and French Blue Chalk Ink in the center of card.

I placed the decorative heart stamp from the Bible Clear Stamp Set onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped out the image three times. I inked an art dauber with Blush Rose Chalk Ink from the Soft Pastel Chalk Petal Point and inked all of the decorative heart images. Once dry I fussy cut the hearts out with Scissors.

I inked an Art Dauber with Alabaster Chalk Ink from the Soft Pastel Petal Point Chalk and inked over a leftover piece of Handwritten Creative Cards and adhered to front of card base. Next I inked the Thanks Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. I cut out the sentiment with a Paper Cutter  and I inked an art dauber with Arctic Deep from the Twist Chalk Inks, inked the edges of the sentiment and adhered to the bottom corner of card.

I inked the Leafy Border Rollagraph…I couldn’t find the actual leaf rollagraph but did find the moulding mat in the leaf border on Amazon…same thing just doesn’t roll 😁…with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and rolled onto a piece of watercolor paper. Next I inked the leaf with Ice Jade Chalk Ink from the Misty Meadow Chalk Inks and fussy cut the stamped leaf out with scissors. Lastly I added a dot of adhesive to the center of each decorative hearts and place on top of each other and bent the “petals” to create a flower. I adhered the leaf to back and added a button to the center of flower and added to the front of the card.

Seashell Journal

Hi everyone! I am back with a project I had originally created for ClearSnap using their ColorBox products. If you haven’t heard ClearSnap has closed there doors 😭 which makes me very sad. Their chalk inks where the first I had ever used and I absolutely fell in love with them. I hope that there is some company out there that might buy them out so we all can still enjoy using their wonderful inks, stamps, art screens, etc. I also used Eileen Hull’s Notebook Diecut for this project which is very easy to decorate.
First off I placed the Mat Board on top of Notebook Diecut and placed between cutting plates and run through the Diecut MachineI placed the Geometrics Art Screen on top of the notebook diecut, loaded Art Daubers with the following Misty Meadow Chalk Inks: Ice Blue, French Blue, Ice Jade and Wisteria Chalk Inks and inked the cover.

Once the notebook was completely covered I removed the art screen.

I removed the cover from a plain store bought notebook, punched two holes (top and bottom) in the spine of the notebook cover and did the same with plain notebook.

Before tying off  the plain notebook to the inside cover I add a tassel to spine with Jute.

I inked the Faux Postal Rollagraph with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and rolled onto White Cardstock. Next I fussy cut the seashell stamp image out with Scissors. I loaded art daubers with Creamy Brown Chalk Ink from the Soft Pastels Chalk Petal Points, inked the seashell image and edges and adhered to the notebook cover.

I placed white cardstock on top of journal diecut from the Journaling Words Diecuts  placed between cutting plates and run through diecut machine. I inked an art dauber with Wisteria Chalk Ink from the Misty Meadow Chalk Inks, inked the journal diecut and adhered above seashell image.

I finished off by punching a hole in front cover of notebook and placing a screw fastener. I cut and tied jute to the jute on spine, tied off and placed around the  Screw Fastener to create a closure. Since I used Eileen’s diecuts in this project you can find more inspiration from the rest of her team HERE and HERE. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Stay Cool Fan

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick fan project I created! The weather has been HOT around here…mid to upper 90’s and it’s hard to stay cool so I thought I would create this fun fan using some of my ColorBox inks!

I started by placing a piece of Watercolor Paper on top of the “Postage Stamp” looking diecut from the Creative Book Pages Diecuts. I placed between the cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine. I cut off 1/2″ on each side of diecut with a Paper Cutter. I inked the glass tray with Sunshine Blends 2 Ink  added water to ink mixture, placed the diecut in the ink mixture and once completely covered with ink removed and let dry.

I placed the Geometrics Art Screen on top of the diecut, inked an Art Dauber with Tutu Blends 2 Ink and applied over art screen. Then I removed the art screen and let dry.

Next I inked the following letter rubber stamps “stay” with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of patterned cardstock. I cut cardstock to fit the fan and before adhering I cut a small banner from orange cardstock and glued both to fan.

I inked the glass tray with following Blends 2 Inks: Stop, Golden and Sunshine Blends 2 Inks, added water to each ink, laid a scrap of watercolor paper in the ink mixtures. Once the watercolor paper was completely covered I removed and let dry.

I placed an Adhesive Sheet on the back side of watercolor paper and placed on top of following letter diecuts: C, O (cut 2) and L. Next I placed between cutting plates and run through the diecut machine. I removed the adhesive backing from letter diecuts and placed under the “stay” wording.

I finished by adhering a wooden paddle/stick to the fan. I know it is in no way a substitute for air conditioning but it does help a little to stir a breeze when you are hot and sweaty. Also this would be a fun craft to do with your children too. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Bless the USA Card

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a 4th of July card I created for ClearSnap with you all today!

I started by inking  an Art Dauber with Peacock Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and ink over front of the Burlap Creative Card.

I inked the Pledge Allegiance Stamp with Wicked Black Pigment Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of white cardstock. I cut the stamped image to 4″x5″ and roughed up edges of stamped image. Next I inked an art dauber with Chianti Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and inked the edges of stamped image. I rolled the bottom edge of the stamped image under and adhered, added Foam Pop Dots to back and placed to the corner of card base.

I inked the letter “U” of the USA Wood Stamp with Abyss Pigment Ink and the “SA” with Chianti Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and stamped onto a piece of white cardstock. I cut a “v” in the end to create a banner and added foam pop dots to back and place on lower half of card base.

From the Thankful Clear Stamps Set I placed on the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked the “BLESS” stamp with Chianti Pigment Ink and the “HEART” stamp with Abyss Pigment Ink and stamp both onto a piece of white cardstock. I cut the “BLESS” image out and inked an art dauber with Chianti Pigment Ink and inked the edges of the “BLESS” image. I cut with a pair of scissors the “T”, “H” and “E” from the “HEART” image out and adhered above the USA banner. I added foam pop dots to back of “BLESS” image and place above the word THE.

I adhered red tulle, thread, star and a sequin with red pearl to USA banner. I adhered a star and red pearl to top of the pledge allegiance image and added three clear glossy dots to bottom corner of card.

And there you have it! What do you do for the 4th of July? Cookout? Spend the day at the beach or just enjoy the day with family and friends? Also always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.
