Create a Quick Sunshine Card in Under 10 Minutes

Hi there! I’m back with a quick and easy card today. I used the Under the Sun Etched Dies and the La Dolce Vita Banners Etched Dies by Spellbinders. This bright and happy card came together in less than 10 minutes. Anyways, let’s get started!

A colorful handmade card featuring a smiling sun face with rays, set against a polka dot background, and a banner reading 'HELLO SUNSHINE'.

I cut out two sun rays and one each of the following: face, sun, background for the eyes. I also cut two of the following: eyes, cheeks and lips. I did apply Adhesive to the back of the cardstock of the smaller pieces before cutting out. All cuts are from the Under the Sun Etched Dies.

Assorted die-cut pieces featuring a yellow face, sun rays, and a background pattern for crafting a card.

Side note, both yellow cardstocks, the face and sun ray are from Tattered and Worn Paper Collection. My friend Pam Bray created this collection and I’m so excited to include in creating this card.

I lightly inked all the pieces with Brown Chalk Ink before assembling the sunshine face.

A bright and cheerful card featuring a sun design with facial features, set against a polka-dotted background. The card includes a banner that reads "HELLO SUNSHINE."

I cut and folded a piece of cardstock, 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″, to create the base for the card. I cut a polk-a-dot mat from the Just Saying Paper Collection slightly smaller than the card base. I adhered to the base of the card along with the sunshine face.

A cheerful card featuring a sun design with a face, surrounded by sun rays and a polka dot background, with the text 'HELLO SUNSHINE' on a banner at the bottom.

I cut a banner and the “hello sunshine” sentiment from the La Dolce Vita Banners Etched Dies. I lightly inked with Brown Chalk Ink before gluing the sentiment off center of the banner. I adhered to the card base to finish.

Create a Summer Card with Amalfi Breeze Dies

Hi everyone! How is everyone’s summer going? We are in the last week of June and it has turned scorching hot! We went from rain everyday to 90 degree + weather. I like warm weather but not this warm. It has turned the swimming pool into what feels like bath water. But I wouldn’t mind if I was enjoying the sun on a beach with my toes in the ocean.

Anyways, I would like to share a card I created. I used the Amalfi Breeze Etched Dies from the La Dolce Vita Collection by Spellbinders. I also used the Typewriter Adventure Sentiments Stamp Set and a sheet of cardstock from the Just Saying Paper Collection.

A handmade card featuring a woman in a bathing suit, holding a drink, surrounded by decorative paper and embellishments, with the text 'sunny days ahead' prominently displayed.

The first thing I did was cut all the pieces of the sun bather out. But before doing that I applied Adhesive to the back of each piece of cardstock. I used a sheet of cardstock from the Just Saying Paper Collection for the bathing suit. I removed the backing from the adhesive and put the sun bather together.

A colorful die-cut piece of a woman in a swimwear pose, accompanied by a matching die template for cutting additional pieces.

I cut and folded a piece of cardstock, 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″, to create the base of the card. I cut a floral mat slightly smaller than the base and adhered to the card. I applied adhesive to the back of two small pieces of cardstock. I cut two fringes from the die set. Next I cut a piece of cardstock the same width as the fringe and longer than the sunbather.

A handmade greeting card featuring a paper cutout of a woman in a colorful bathing suit holding an ice cream cone, with a sentiment that reads 'sunny days ahead'. The card has a floral background and decorative fringes.

I placed the fringe on either end of the piece of cardstock and glued at an angle onto the card. Next I added the sun bather on top of the “blanket”.

A handmade greeting card depicting a sunbather in a colorful swimsuit, holding a drink. The background features floral patterns in pink and yellow. The phrase 'sunny days ahead' is prominently displayed on the card.

I placed the “sunny days ahead” stamp from the Typewriter Adventure Sentiments Stamp Set onto the MISTI Stamping Tool. I inked with Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of cardstock. I cut a mat slightly larger than the sentiment and lightly inked with Pink Chalk Ink. I glued the sentiment onto the mat and placed on the card to finish.

Using Diecuts in Ways Not Intended for Cards

Hi everyone! I’m back with my first Eileen Hull project of the month. I used the Handbound Journal Diecut and Rainbow Wheels Thinlits, along with a few other products all by Eileen to create a card. Anyways, let’s get started!

A handmade card featuring a layered design with various patterned yellow cardstocks. The card includes an oval shape with the phrase 'GO FOR IT!' in the center, and three golden embossed pie/wedge shapes adorned with sequins.

I folded a piece of Kraft Cardstock in half. I placed it slightly below the cut line of the spine of the Handbound Journal Diecut. Then, I ran it through the Diecut Machine.

A handmade card featuring a layered design with yellow and patterned cardstock, three triangular die-cut embellishments, and the text 'GO FOR IT!'

I gathered an assortment of yellow and one rainbow patterned cardstocks. I cut five strips in different sizes to fit the base of the card. I glued all in place.

A card decorated with patterned yellow cardstocks, featuring a large circular shape and three wedge-shaped diecuts with gold gems, and a stamped message that says 'GO FOR IT!'

I cut one large and two small circles from the Rainbow Wheels Thinlits and adhered to the card. Side note, the pie/wedge shape diecut looks like an explanation point…if you add a dot to it. I thought it would be the perfect addition to the “Go For It!” stamp that I will be using.

A handmade card featuring layered yellow patterned cardstocks, an oval focal point with the text 'GO FOR IT!', and three embossed pie/wedge shaped elements adorned with gold gems.

I cut three of the pie/wedge shaped dies from the Rainbow Wheels Thinlits. I embossed all three with the Lace Embossing Folder. I lightly applied Gold Luster Wax over the embossed areas.

A handmade card featuring yellow and patterned cardstocks, with a large circular base, three pie/wedge shapes, and a stamped message that reads 'GO FOR IT!' adorned with gold gems.

I placed the “Go For It!” stamp from the Swatch Cards Stamp Set onto the MISTI Stamping Tool. I inked the stamp with Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of cardstock. I used the Gold Luster Wax and lightly inked the edges of the saying.

I adhered the pie/wedges dies and sentiment to the card. I added Gold Gems to the bottom of each pie/wedge. I also added smaller gold gems to the center of each embossed flower.

I can’t wait to make more cards with these dies and stamp set. If you haven’t been by Eileen’s blog lately you can find the latest post HERE.

Robot Valentine’s Day Card: You Make My Heart Beep

Hi everyone! Valentine’s Day is only a couple of days away and I want to share a quick card I made. I used the Mini Album Diecut as the base for the card. I used a few other dies and thinlits by Eileen Hull. Also this month it’s “Anything Goes” with Eileen Hull’s Inspiration Team. Anyways, let’s get started!

First, I would like to share a side note about the robot printable I used. I had been fooling around on AI creating images and I came up with these fat, steampunk and vintage robots. I thought this would be perfect to use on a card.

Anyways, I placed a piece of brown cardstock onto the Mini Album Diecut. It was sandwiched between cutting plates. Then, I ran it through the Diecut Machine. I folded in half to create the base of the card.

I cut a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than the base of the card.I also cut a strip of cardstock and inked both pieces with Brown Chalk Ink. I glued both to the card base.

I cut out the teardrop heart from the Charms Thinlits. I will be using the largest heart from the teardrop.

Next, I cut out the circle from the Ornament Box Diecut (retired). I embossed the circle with the Dotted Embossing Folder. I lightly applied Rose Gold Luster Wax over the embossed area of the circle.

I adhered the circle to the edge of the card. I printed the “You Make my Heart Beep” sentiment from my computer. I cut out a mat to frame the sentiment. I inked the edges and glued both together. I added Foam Pop Dots to the back before placing on the card.

I fussy cut a robot from the printable. I placed it off center of the circle and glued the largest heart to the center of its chest.

Make sure you visit Eileen Hull‘s blog for inspiration. You can also find more details there on other ways to follow and keep up with her and her team.

Also I have a question, would you be interested in me sharing the robot printable I created? Let me know below.

Easy Snowflake Card Tutorial Using Notebook Diecut

Hi everyone! I’m back today with another quick and easy card. I used a few leftover pieces from past projects and the Notebook Diecut to create this. Anyways, let’s get started!

I cut the card out of the Notebook Diecut. I folded in half to create the card base.

These are the pieces I had leftovers. The seal is from the Seal Switchlits Embossing Folder and Thinlits. The snowflake is from the Snowflake Impresslits (retired). And the circle is from the Bookmark, Pocket and Toppers Thinlits. I lightly inked the seal with a chalk ink and adhered each piece on top of each other.

I glued the seal to the base of the card and added a pearl to the center of the snowflake. I added an Adhesive Sheet to the back of a piece of white cardstock.

I placed “warm” and “wishes” thinlits, from the Starlit Village Thinlits (retired) on top of the cardstock. I ran through the Diecut Machine. I removed the backing from the Adhesive Sheet and placed the sentiment onto the card to finish. This card came together so quickly!

If you have any comments or questions about this project please leave it below.

Create a Retro Christmas Card with Eileen Hull Dies

Hi everyone! I’m back with a card I created using the Notebook Diecut as the base for this Christmas card. I also used an assortment of thinlits, stamps and stencils all by Eileen Hull. Anyways let’s get started!

First, I cut a card base from the Notebook Diecut and folded in half.

Second, I thought I had did a step out process photos. I did not.

  • Secure it with painter’s tape.
  • Remove the stencil and let the area dry.
  • Once dry cut the stenciled piece down to fit onto the base of the card.
  • Ink the edges of the cut piece with hot pink and pink chalk ink.
  • Cut two mats, one slightly larger than the other and adhered to the stenciled image.

Third, I adhered pink sequins and two different sizes of red flat black pearls to the stenciled image. I glued to the card base.

Fourth, I placed the “sending warm wishes” from the Fan Favorite Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool. I inked the stamp with Black Ink and stamped onto a scrap piece of Watercolor Paper.

Fifth, I matted the sentiment with a piece of red cardstock. I added Foam Pop Dots to the back. Then, I placed it onto the card.

Sixth, I cut a circle from the Bookmark, Pockets and Toppers Thinlits. I also cut a snowflake from the Everyday Tags and Labels Thinlits. I glued the snowflake onto the circle, placed Foam Pop Dots to the back before adding to the card.

Seventh and last step, I adhered a sequin and a red flat back pearl to the center of the snowflake. I think the card has cool retro Christmas vibe to it. What do you think?

If you have questions about this card please let me know in the comment section below.

Thinking of You Peacock Card

Hi everyone and Happy 1st of May! As the weather starts warming up and my time indoors is less, you know gardening and time in the pool, I wanted to share a quick and easy card I created. I used Eileen Hull‘s Faux Postage Thinlits and the Floral Silhouettes Thinlits (only at Scrapbook.com) to create this card in under 15 minutes. So let’s get started!

First, I folded a piece of Blue Cardstock in half and placed the “fold line” slightly inside of the of the rectangle thinlit from the Faux Postage Thinlits before running through the Diecut Machine. Side note, I did use wash tape to hold the thinlit in place while running through the diecut machine. This keeps the thinlit from shifting.

Second, I selected the peacock cardstock from the Flourish 6″x6″ Paper Pad (retired). I had already cut off a portion of the cardstock to create a journaling spot and the cardstock didn’t completely cover all of the Faux Postage Thinlit so I centered the image onto the thinlit and ran through the diecut machine.

Third, I cut a mat from White Cardstock and adhered to the back of the peacock image.

Fourth, I glued the peacock image to the card base.

Fifth, I used a scrap of Watercolor Paper, placed onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, placed the journaling box stamp from Simple Sayings Stamps Set, inked with Black Ink and stamped onto the watercolor paper.

I removed the journaling box and placed the “Thinking of You” stamp sentiment onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Black Ink and stamped inside of the journaling box image.

Sixth, I fussy cut the image with Scissors and adhered to the bottom corner of the card. I cut three flowers and two leaf sprigs from the Floral Silhouettes Thinlits (only at Scrapbook.com), shaped the flowers with a Stylus and glued two together and adhered one leaf sprig to the back before placing it to the lower corner of the sentiment. The other flower I cut one of the leaves off from the leaf sprig and glued to the back of the flower before adding to upper corner of the sentiment. I glued two gems to the center of each flower to finish.

The Faux Postage Thinlits can take any large graphic image on a piece of cardstock, you know the ones that you really aren’t sure what to do with it, and and turn it into a simple card. Or you can remove a few of the “postage stamps” and replace them for a completely different look. So many possibilities!

Love You Shaker Card

Hi everyone! Since Valentine’s Day is only a day away I want to share a shaker card I created using Eileen Hull’s Embroidery Hoop Diecut and a few of her other thinlits. So let’s get started!

First, I placed the Embroidery Hoop Diecut onto a piece of cardstock from the Rouge 6″x8″ Paper Collection and did the same steps for a piece of Matboard. I cut the top part off each hoop.

Second, I cut two of the hoops from Foam Adhesive Sheets and cut the top off both hoops.

Third, I cut a 6″x12″ piece of cardstock from the Foundation 1 Rouge Cardstock and folded in half to create a 6″x6″ card base. I removed the backing from the adhesive foam and placed on top of each other and placed onto the card.

Fourth, I adhered the inner circle of the hoop inside of the outer hoop.

Fifth, I placed an assortment of sequins, gems and Micro Beads within the foam hoop. Next, trace the outer circle of the hoop onto a piece of Acetate and cut out. Remove the backing from the foam hoop and place the circle acetate onto the hoop.

Sixth, apply adhesive and place the circle from the hoop, that’s cut from patterned cardstock over the foam hoop.

Seventh, I cut to fit a fancy pom pom trim to fit around the hoop and adhered.

Eighth, I cut an envelope and smaller leaf (Rouge Paper Collection) and the small, medium and large size hearts (felt) from the Envelope, Folder and Flowers Thinlits. I lightly inked the edges of the envelope and glued together and adhered to the corner of the hoop.

Ninth, I cut another piece of cardstock slightly smaller than the envelope, used a Corner Rounder on the top since it will be seen and lightly inked the edges. I cut the “love” sentiment from the Journaling Words Thinlits (retired) and the letters “Y”, “O” and “U” from the Tiled Alphanumeric Thinlits and placed onto the card and then placed in the envelope.

Tenth, I glued the medium and large size hearts to the upper side of the hoop and the small heart to the corner of the envelope. I added sequins, loops of thread, pearl top pins and a crocheted flower with the leaf from the Envelope, Folder and Flowers Thinlits to finish the card.

This shaker card the theme can easily be changed to suit any occasion, birthday, get well, thinking of you, just because, etc. Question, do you make cards to give? If you do or don’t why? Leave your comment below.

Love You Heart Card

Hi everyone! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and I would like to share a quick card I created using scraps I had laying on my craft table and the small and medium hearts from Eileen Hull’s Envelope, Folder and Flowers Thinlits. So, let’s get started!

First, I gathered up an assortment of scraps of cardstocks. I also had this scalloped card base that I found in my stash. I had cut it from a diecut by Sizzix but can’t remember the actually name of the die and I can’t find it on Sizzix’s website so I am assuming it is a retired diecut.

Second, I cut the pink piece of cardstock down to fit the base of the card. I placed in it in the Doily 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Diecut Machine. Next, I lightly inked over the raised areas of the embossed cardstock with a hot pink chalk ink and applied Ivory Luster Wax over the inked areas to tone down the hot pink.

Third, I glued the embossed image to the card base. I lightly inked the edges of the scallops with a dark brown chalk ink.

Fourth, I cut two strips of cardstock, one slightly smaller than the other, the width of the embossed image and adhered both into the card base. I cut the smallest and medium size hearts from the Envelope, Folder and Flowers Thinlits. I lightly inked around the edges of the hearts with the hot pink ink and glued both onto the strips of cardstock.

Fifth, I cut the “love you” sentiment from a cut a part, inked the edges and adhered to the hearts along with a sequin to finish the card.

Now how easy was that? Will you be making Valentine’s Day cards to give or not? Let me know in the comments below. Also if you haven’t been by Eileen Hull’s blog lately to see what her teams has been up to you can find the latest post HERE.

Happy Holidays Snowflake Mini Slimline Card

Hi everyone! I’m back with a very quick card I created. I was in the “moment” of making this card that I completely forgot to take any step out photos of the process. This card centers on a leftover “Happy Holidays” sentiment from my Holiday Snowman Mini Slimline Card I posted about a few days ago. Anyways, let’s get started!

First, I folded a piece of 6″x6″ snowflake patterned cardstock in half to create the base of the card. I cut the “Happy Holidays” sentiment down and inked the edges with a chalk ink. Also the sentiment is from my Sparkle Snowman Stamp Set which can be found at Blank Page Muse.

Second, I cut two labels and two snowflakes from the Everyday Tags and Labels Thinlits. I embossed the smaller label with the Tablecloth Embossing Folder, lightly inked with a chalk ink before gluing with the sentiment on top of the larger labels.

Third, I glued the first snowflake die to the corner of the label. The second snowflake I added a Foam Pop Dot to the back before placing on top of the other snowflake. I finished by adding a flat back pearl to the center of the snowflake and a couple of sequins to the card base.

If you have any questions or comments about this card please leave it in the comment section below. Also if you aren’t following Blank Page Muse on their social media site you can find them: Facebook. Instagram, Pinterest, Blank Page Muse Website and Blank Page Muse Blog.
