Living for Today Rolodex

Hi everyone! I meant to get this posted before going on vacation but it didn’t happen. Then when I got back home we were having record break temps close to a 100 degrees…hotter than Florida…and one of the two floor unit air conditioners decided to die. I spent time helping my husband install a window unit, cleaning and catching up on laundry. Anyways, I want to share a quick and easy rolodex I created.

A decorative piece featuring floral designs, vintage elements, and the phrase 'Living for Today.' The background includes various printed texts and patterns.

I used the Torn Edges CardLab Etched Dies for the rolodex from the Esther Glas Turn the Page Collection for Spellbinders. If you didn’t see an earlier post on a tag I created using the same collection you can find it HERE.

A collection of decorative tags and labels featuring months of the year and the word 'SPLENDID', with a mix of pastel colors and playful designs.

I cut out a rolodex and a torn element from cardstock and inked all edges with brown chalk ink.

Three decorative die-cut templates in various colors and designs, placed on a light background. The templates include an orange frame, a pastel colored sheet with lists, and a black patterned cutout featuring letters and symbols.

I selected the border with all the square “holes” from the Keepsake Capsule Borders Etched Dies.

Graphic design of a layout featuring brown sections with various cut-out shapes and embossed text that reads 'SEEN - NOTED - COLLECTED - DOCUMENTED'.

I fussy cut a section of florals from a piece of cardstock and glued to the rolodex along with the torn element . I applied a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the back of a piece of cardstock and cut the border out. I removed the backing from the diecut and placed off center of the rolodex.

A decorative paper project featuring floral designs and printed text, including a list of names and numbers, alongside a copper die cutting tool.

I inked the edges of the “living for today” sentiment and adhered to the center of the rolodex. I added more fussy cut florals to the sentiment.

A decorative journal cover featuring the phrase 'Living for Today' surrounded by colorful floral designs and film strip elements, with a textured background and vintage typography.

I fussy cut a butterfly from cardstock. I bent the wings of butterfly and added a drop of glue to the center placed onto the sentiment to finish.

A decorative paper project showcasing vibrant flowers and the phrase 'Living for Today', featuring vintage-style elements and a film strip design.

This was definitely a quick and easy project and I’m already planning my next rolodex. If you have any comments or questions about this project please leave them below.

Spellbinders and Esther Glas: Torn Edges CardLab Tag

Hi everyone! I’m excited to share the brand new Turn the Page Collection by Esther Glas for Spellbinders Paper Arts. It has a little of everything in this collection: stamping, embossing, journaling, rolodex cards and my favorite tags.

A handcrafted decorative tag featuring a bird, a birdcage, and colorful flowers, layered with patterned papers and embellishments.

So, of course, I started with the Torn Edges CardLab Etched Dies.

A collection of decorative labels and tags featuring the months of the year, including 'January,' 'February,' 'March,' etc., along with the word 'SPLENDID' and several seasonal icons like flowers, suns, leaves, and snowflakes.

I cut out the tag and the hole enforcer (hole enforcer didn’t make it into the photo below) and I was ready to start creating.

A crafted paper tag featuring a patterned design with circles and a small hole at the top, alongside a coordinating metal frame in orange.

I know I’ve said this before but if you have leftover scraps of cardstock, embellishments, etc. this is a great way to use up those scraps and create something fun. Most of the time after I am finished with a project all the scraps go into a zip lock bag which I work from when I start another project.

Anyways, back to the tag I used one of the borders from the Keepsake Capsule Borders Etched Dies as a decorative element. There’s so many possibilities with this set of dies.

A graphic design featuring several brown stylized shapes, including one with words 'SEEN - NOTED - COLLECTED - DOCUMENTED' embossed on it.

For the base of the tag, I inked up the edges of the tag and scraps of cardstock. I applied an Adhesive Sheet to a scrap piece of cardstock and cut out one of the borders from the Keepsake Capsule Borders Etched Dies. I also placed Foam Squares to the back of a bird cage image.

A collection of decorative paper pieces including a tag with circular patterns, colorful labels, and strips of decorative trim on a beige background.

I removed the Adhesive Sheet backing from the border die and placed onto the tag.

Also before placing the bird cage image onto the tag base, I inked scraps of cardstock and glued to the back side of the image and added the hole enforcer.

A decorative craft tag featuring a vintage-style birdcage illustration adorned with colorful roses. The tag includes layered patterned papers and embellishments, with a copper stencil strip and decorative accents.

The next thing I did was fussy cut several roses, leaves and a bird images from a piece of cardstock. I adhered the flowers to the bird cage image and added a Gold Gem to two of the roses.

I placed Foam Squares to the back of the bird before placing onto the corner of the bird cage image and added loops of thread to finish.

A decorative card featuring a bird perched near a birdcage, adorned with colorful flowers and leaves, set against a textured background.

This was a fun and relaxing project to work on and I can’t wait to create more so stay tuned! If you have any questions or comments about this project please leave them below.

Explore the Beautifully Imperfect Collection for Card Making

Hi everyone! I want to share two quick cards I created using the Deckled Edge Script Etched Dies, Tangled Threads Etched Dies and Tattered Stripes Stencils from the Beautifully Imperfect Collection by Spellbinders. I also used a few other dies and stamps from Spellbinders which I will list below.

A handmade greeting card featuring a blue stenciled background, gold zigzag patterns, and the sentiment 'love from all of us' with a heart cutout.

I haven’t many step out photos of each card because I was in the moment when creating these. Both cards measure 6″x4 1/2″ folded. I used the Tattered Stripes Stencils and stenciled the card with two different colors of blue ink from my stash.

A handmade card featuring blue and green striped patterns created with stencils, placed next to several thin stencil sheets.

I used the outer die from the Deckled Edge Script Etched Dies on the stenciled image. I inked the edges with a blue ink and backed with a mat which I also inked. I placed the “love from all of us” stamp from the Christmas Memories Enclosed Clear Stamp Set onto MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Black Ink and stamped onto the stenciled image.

A handmade card featuring a blue watercolored background with gold zigzag patterns and a small blue heart, captioned 'love from all of us'.

I added Foam Pop Dots on the back and placed onto the card base. I cut three of the zip zag dies from the Tangled Threads Etched Dies and glued to the card. I cut and used the heart center from the Crafty Babe Die Bundle to finish the first card.

A handcrafted greeting card featuring a blue and green striped background, adorned with golden zigzag patterns and a white heart, with the sentiment 'LOVE FROM ALL OF US' printed below.

The second card I cut a background from Gold Cardstock and the script from an Alabaster Cardstock from the Deckled Edge Script Etched Dies. I inked over the script die with a brown ink. I adhered the script to the background. I added onto the card base.

Two decorative cards featuring intricate die cuts and stenciling, showcasing a blend of textured papers and gold accents.

I placed a tangled thread die from the Tangled Threads Etched Dies onto the card. I also added a flower from the Crafty Babe Die Bundle. I stamped “a little something”sentiment onto a piece of cardstock. I inked the edges and placed one edge of it under the flower. I added a Gold Gem to the center of the flower to finish.

If you have any comments or questions about both of these cards please leave below.

How to Use Spellbinders Country Christmas Collection

Hi everyone! I meant to share these cards I had created last week on the blog. But my back went out on the first of August. I have been to the chiropractor every other day. He has worked to get everything back in alignment. I’ll probably be going every other day until the end of this month. The pain was something beyond anything I have ever experienced and hope it never happens again.

Anyways, back to the cards! I created these three cards using the Country Christmas Collection by Annie Williams and Spellbinders.

A festive card featuring a snowman with a cowboy hat and a red scarf, accompanied by a small animal. The background is light blue with snowflakes, and the text at the bottom reads 'LOVE FROM ALL OF US'.

The first card, I used the Country Snowman Etched Dies. The base of all the cards I’m sharing today is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ folded.

A card featuring a snowman with a red scarf and a cowboy hat, interacting with a rabbit, and the text 'LOVE FROM ALL OF US' printed at the bottom.

This set has 20 dies to create your own snowman with friends. I did choose to leave the broom and bird feeder off this card I created. I added the “love from all of us” sentiment from the Christmas Memories Enclosed Clear Stamp Set to the bottom of the card.

A festive card featuring a rocking chair with a green blanket, a bear sitting on a red Christmas pillow, and a decorated potted Christmas tree.

The second card, I used the Christmas Rocking Chair Etched Dies to create this adorable card. This set has 26 dies but I choose not to add the Santa hat and boots to the card. For this card and the snowman card I did lightly ink around each diecut piece to add dimension.

A handmade Christmas card featuring three decorative squares with white trees on a teal background, surrounded by white polka dots. The card is embossed with a hexagonal pattern and includes the text 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' beneath the squares.

The last card, I cut out three of the tree/snow dies from the Christmas Rocking Chair Etched Dies. I added two squared cardstocks per tree/snow die and glued each to the card. I stamped the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Christmas Memories Enclosed Clear Stamp Set onto the card to finish.

When I’m better I hope to be using these diecuts for other cards and tag! Also if you have any questions or comments about these cards please leave them below.

Make Quick and Easy Snowflake Cards in Minutes

Hi everyone! I want to share two quick and easy cards I created. For these cards, I used the Merry Moments Dimensional Snowflakes. I also incorporated one of the stamps from the Christmas Memories Enclosed Clear Stamp Set by Spellbinders.

I was in the moment and I didn’t get any step out photos. These cards took less than 10 minutes to create. Anyways let’s get started!

A greeting card featuring a snowflake design with the text 'SEASON'S GREETINGS' at the bottom.

For this card and second I will be showing, the bases measures 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″ folded.

For the first card I cut three squares each slightly smaller than the other.

A holiday greeting card featuring a layered design with a snowflake embellishment centered on a blue square. The text 'SEASON'S GREETINGS' is prominently displayed below the snowflake.

I inked the edges with a blue chalk ink and glued all together.

I placed the “season’s greetings” sentiment stamp from Christmas Memories Enclosed Clear Stamp Set onto the MISTI Stamping Tool. I inked with Black Ink and stamped onto the card base.

I placed one of the snowflakes from the Merry Moments Dimensional Snowflakes in the center of the matted squares. I added a Flatback Pearl to the center of the snowflake to finish.

A handmade greeting card featuring layered squares in shades of green, a decorative snowflake, and the text 'SEASON'S GREETINGS' printed in brown.

The second card I cut stripes of cardstock, one slightly smaller than the other. I glued one on top of the other before adhering to the card.

A greeting card featuring three dimensional snowflake embellishments on a light blue and white background.

I added three of the snowflakes from the Merry Moments Dimensional Snowflakes and called it finished! These two cards have been by far the easiest to make!

As always if you have any questions or comments please leave them below.

Creating Beautiful Cards with Spellbinders Yuletide Ride Dies

Hi everyone! I want to share a few photos of a card I created. I used the Yuletide Ride Etched Dies from the Wonderland Collection by Spellbinders. I was in the moment and didn’t do any step out photos.

A festive handmade card featuring a red car decorated with a Christmas tree, wreath, and presents, set against a blue patterned background.

The card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ folded. I cut a piece of patterned cardstock slightly smaller than the card and glued to the base.

A festive greeting card featuring a decorated Christmas tree, holiday presents, and a red car, all against a light blue background.

I applied adhesive from an Adhesive Roll to the back of various pieces of cardstock. There are 23 dies in this set. It is much easier to have the adhesive already applied to the back.

A festive holiday card featuring a decorated Christmas tree, a wreath, gift boxes, and a red toy car, all made from various colorful cardstock pieces.

Once all dies are cut out, there are indentions on each die. This feature makes it so easy to put them together.

Create a Quick Christmas Card with Merry Moments Collection

Hi everyone! I’m back with a quick card I created from the Merry Moments Collection by Spellbinders. I used the Christmas Cameos 3D Embossing Folder. Also a few diecut shapes and a chipboard piece from the Merry Moments Limited Edition Holiday Cardmaking Kit.

A handcrafted Christmas card featuring an embossed green background, a red poinsettia die cut, holly leaves, and a 'Season of Wonder' sentiment in red and white.

The first thing I did was lightly spritz the cardstock with a Mister Spray Bottle. I cut to size the cardstock and placed inside of the Cameos 3D Embossing Folder. Once dry I lightly inked with a combination of white, greens and blues chalk inks.

Embossed cardstock featuring a decorative pattern of ovals and bows in shades of green.

I selected a poinsettia and a holly branch die cut. I also picked a chipboard sentiment from the Merry Moments Limited Edition Holiday Cardmaking Kit 2025. I shaped the holly branch with a Stylus.

A gold and white tool labeled 'Spellbinders Tool in One' next to a die-cut holly branch featuring green leaves and white berries.

I glued the embossed cardstock to a 5″x 7″ card base. I placed Foam Pop Dots on the back side of the poinsettia die cut and placed onto the card. I adhered the holly branch underneath the poinsettia.

Close-up of a Christmas card featuring a poinsettia and holly branch die cuts, with a gold thread accent and a red tag that reads 'Season of Wonder' against a textured green embossed background.

I looped Gold Thread around my fingers and tied off. I glued underneath the raised poinsettia and added the Season of Wonder chipboard piece above the die cut.

Close-up of a festive Christmas card featuring an embossed green background with a poinsettia and holly branch die cuts. A red and white chipboard sentiment reading 'Season of Wonder' is prominently displayed.

I finished by adding two White Gem Stones to the sentiment. Tada! A Christmas card made in less than 10 minutes!

Create a Quick Sunshine Card in Under 10 Minutes

Hi there! I’m back with a quick and easy card today. I used the Under the Sun Etched Dies and the La Dolce Vita Banners Etched Dies by Spellbinders. This bright and happy card came together in less than 10 minutes. Anyways, let’s get started!

A colorful handmade card featuring a smiling sun face with rays, set against a polka dot background, and a banner reading 'HELLO SUNSHINE'.

I cut out two sun rays and one each of the following: face, sun, background for the eyes. I also cut two of the following: eyes, cheeks and lips. I did apply Adhesive to the back of the cardstock of the smaller pieces before cutting out. All cuts are from the Under the Sun Etched Dies.

Assorted die-cut pieces featuring a yellow face, sun rays, and a background pattern for crafting a card.

Side note, both yellow cardstocks, the face and sun ray are from Tattered and Worn Paper Collection. My friend Pam Bray created this collection and I’m so excited to include in creating this card.

I lightly inked all the pieces with Brown Chalk Ink before assembling the sunshine face.

A bright and cheerful card featuring a sun design with facial features, set against a polka-dotted background. The card includes a banner that reads "HELLO SUNSHINE."

I cut and folded a piece of cardstock, 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″, to create the base for the card. I cut a polk-a-dot mat from the Just Saying Paper Collection slightly smaller than the card base. I adhered to the base of the card along with the sunshine face.

Create a Summer Card with Amalfi Breeze Dies

Hi everyone! How is everyone’s summer going? We are in the last week of June and it has turned scorching hot! We went from rain everyday to 90 degree + weather. I like warm weather but not this warm. It has turned the swimming pool into what feels like bath water. But I wouldn’t mind if I was enjoying the sun on a beach with my toes in the ocean.

Anyways, I would like to share a card I created. I used the Amalfi Breeze Etched Dies from the La Dolce Vita Collection by Spellbinders. I also used the Typewriter Adventure Sentiments Stamp Set and a sheet of cardstock from the Just Saying Paper Collection.

A handmade card featuring a woman in a bathing suit, holding a drink, surrounded by decorative paper and embellishments, with the text 'sunny days ahead' prominently displayed.

The first thing I did was cut all the pieces of the sun bather out. But before doing that I applied Adhesive to the back of each piece of cardstock. I used a sheet of cardstock from the Just Saying Paper Collection for the bathing suit. I removed the backing from the adhesive and put the sun bather together.

A colorful die-cut piece of a woman in a swimwear pose, accompanied by a matching die template for cutting additional pieces.

I cut and folded a piece of cardstock, 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″, to create the base of the card. I cut a floral mat slightly smaller than the base and adhered to the card. I applied adhesive to the back of two small pieces of cardstock. I cut two fringes from the die set. Next I cut a piece of cardstock the same width as the fringe and longer than the sunbather.

A handmade greeting card featuring a paper cutout of a woman in a colorful bathing suit holding an ice cream cone, with a sentiment that reads 'sunny days ahead'. The card has a floral background and decorative fringes.

I placed the fringe on either end of the piece of cardstock and glued at an angle onto the card. Next I added the sun bather on top of the “blanket”.

A handmade greeting card depicting a sunbather in a colorful swimsuit, holding a drink. The background features floral patterns in pink and yellow. The phrase 'sunny days ahead' is prominently displayed on the card.

I placed the “sunny days ahead” stamp from the Typewriter Adventure Sentiments Stamp Set onto the MISTI Stamping Tool. I inked with Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of cardstock. I cut a mat slightly larger than the sentiment and lightly inked with Pink Chalk Ink. I glued the sentiment onto the mat and placed on the card to finish.

If you have any questions or comments about this card please leave them below.
