Chester & the Boneyard Band

Hi everyone! I’m back to share another quick Halloween card I created. The base of the card is a folded 6″x6″ piece of purple cardstock and then I adhered layers of cardstock/scrapbook paper to along with a paper doilie which I sprayed with Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mantis glimmer mist.

The vineyard band cut apart is from Echo Park ‘s Chillingsworth Manor collection. I distressed the edges, inked and added pop dots before I adhered to the card. I made tulle bows which I glued behind the card along black twine, pom poms and flowers.

I finished off the card with some green ric rac, buttons, sequin and Dew Drop. There you have it another easy peasy card. ūüôā If you have any questions please let me know.¬†
Also I am submitting this card for the Orange and Black/Halloween theme challenge over at the Paper Wings Production blog.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is fabulous and enjoy creating!

I Believe in You

Hi there! I’m back to share another quick 3″x5 1/2″ card I created using some of my leftover scraps of cardstock and scrapbook paper, along with some¬†die cuts from K & Company, button, sequin and dew drop. Also the sentiment is from Unity Stamps.

Another easy peasy card that didn’t take very long to create! ūüôā

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is great and enjoy creating!

The Baby’s Debut

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a very¬†quick project I created using more of my scraps of cardstock and scrapbook paper. Like the Hello Friend card that I shared a few days ago the base is 3″x5 1/2″. I added scraps which I inked the edges and adhered to the top of the card. This digital image is one in several on a collage sheet I purchased a few years ago on etsy. I was going to include the link but the shop is no longer open. I adhered the image to the card along with a clear sequin and a Pearl Dew Drop. Pretty easy huh? ūüôā

Also I wanted to share that my step daughter is pregnant which will be my hubby’s first grandchild and mine too‚Ķunless you want to count the dogs as grandkids that my son and his girlfriends has. ūüėȬ†
I’m not sure if I’m going to use this as a card or as a page in a baby junk journal. We will see as time draws near.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Hello Friend

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a quick card I created using some left over scraps that I had laying around. The card base measures 3″x5 1/2″ folded. I cut eleven strips of cardstock and scrapbook paper in various sizes and inked ¬†all edges to fit on the base of the card. I glued the ends of two of the strips of cardstock, the height and width of the¬†card base, then proceeded to “weave” the strips of paper and once finished glue all ends down on the base of the card.

The wooden hello blurb I had found it in the clearance section at Michael’s. I loved the fact that it was only 10¬Ę. I just love a good bargain. ūüôā I sprayed the blurb with Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. I printed the “friend” on cardstock, cut into a banner, inked edges and adhered underneath the hello blurb. I finished it off with a sequin and Dew drop.

I love how you can see the cardstock through the hello blurb!  If you have any questions about this card please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Dragons Lair Designs: The Shoe Fairy

Hi everyone! I am super excited to be sharing my first design project for the Dragons Lair Designs! This month’s featured product is from the Southern Comfort Collection. After pondering on what I could create with all these wonderful digital images this is what I came up with.¬†
First I printed one of the¬†Southern Comfort Paper¬†onto¬†a 5″x7″ sheet of cardstock. Then I ran the paper through my diecut machine to cut out the Rolodex card. If you don’t have a Rolodex diecut you can find a Rolodex punch at your local office supply store that can punch the notches in the bottom of the card. The Rolodex card is approximately¬†4 1/2″x2 1/2″.¬†

Next I fussy cut individual images out from Southern Comfort Cluster Pack and Southern Comfort Elements digital packs which I inked edges and added Stickles to give some of the images a little glitter. Then I adhered to the top of the Rolodex and embellished with fun and whimsical crafty goodness.

The Southern Comfort Free Journal Card Sheet I fussy cut the woman with the violin out, applied pastel chalks to her dress, face and violin and glued one of the feathers to her back and then adhered her into the shoe. Both of these images where cut out from the Southern Comfort Cluster Pack. I also punched a crown from the leftover scraps that was printed and added pastel chalk to give it a little color. There you have it my whimsical little Shoe Fairy Rolodex card! I hope this has inspired you to create one for yourself. Please be sure to stop by the Dragons Lair Designs and check out the Southern Comfort Collection. There is just so much you can do with this collection!
Also if you have any questions please let me know.

Fall Splendor Card

Hi everyone! I am here to share a quick Fall card I created for a swap I am in.
I started out with a piece of cardstock which I folded in half to make a 3″x6″ card base. Then I stamped the leaf image onto a piece of cream colored cardstock, inked all edges, added bling, cut more cardstock ¬†to frame the image and adhered to the base.

I adhered scraps of cardstock and sentiment digital image to the top of the card.

I finished off the card with a button, sequin, dew drop and twine. The only hard thing was added the tiny bling to the leaf other than that easy peasy! ūüôā

Also I am submitting this card for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge 150.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saturday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Hope Whispers

Hi! I’m back to share a quick card I created for Paper Wings Productions August “Anything Goes Challenge”¬† you can do any type of project as long as it has some type of stamping on the it. I had ordered the Tea Time Mix Media Kit from Paper Wings and received this free Hope Whispers cling stamp with my purchase. I had already started this card and thought this sentiment would be the perfect touch to finish off my card.

The card base is 3″x5 1/2″ folded. I inked the base and¬†all scraps of cardstock with chalk ink and adhered to the front of the card. I fussy cut the¬†Digital Bird Image¬†and¬†stamped the Hope Whispers sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and adhered both to the card. I finished off with a sequin and¬†Dew Drop.¬†

It is a perfect little card to give someone a lift and to tell them not to give up.
Be sure to stop by and play in this month’s challenge over at¬†Paper Wings Productions!

Lily Paper Doll and Some Exciting News!!!

Hi everyone!!! I’m back from vacationing at the beach. I wish there was some way we could live there permanently. I love the laid back, flip flops everyday and ocean breezes‚Ķmaybe one day it will happen??? ūüôā
I have some exciting news to share though…I have been asked to be a part of The Mailbox Muse Design Team and…of course…I said yes since I love ALL thing vintage!!! You can join the club for the Mailbox Muse kits which gives you a discount on the kits and product at Altered Page web site, video access and other specials for a year too.

Also I would like to share a paper doll I created using the Lottie Stamp set from Pink Persimmon. I stamped out her head, arms and legs and then printed her body and dress pattern on white cardstock since I wanted her body to be sturdy. I cut everything out, used brads to attach the arms and legs to the body. Added a little blush to her cheeks and colors her lips with one of my markers.
Next I traced her dress onto Purple Flowers Glitter Cardstock and then cut out. I embossed the skirt with the flower embossing folder from Once Upon a Princess Cuttlebug set. I added lace, sequin and Purple Dew Drops to the dress and topped it off with a lily digis that I fussy cut and added Crystal Stickles to make it pop. I printed the lilies from the Altered Pages Vintage Easter Greeting college sheet.

To attach the dress to the¬†paper doll I used baker’s twine which I adhered underneath the lace on the sleeves of the dress. This way I can chance the clothes of my little paper doll.¬†

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoying creating!!!

"Cat-titude"

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a mini album I created out of coffee filters using the Special Delivery Collection from the Robin’s Nest which is 20% off this month and we are cross promoting with EC crafts.¬†

The mini I created isn’t the typical baby mini album. I made this with my cat, Omega in mind‚Ķthus, the title “Cat-titude” meaning cat with attitude. ūüôā
I started with four coffee filters as the base for my mini album.

I traced the filters onto the Special Delivery Cardstock and the Pink Rose on Green Cardstock and then cut out and inked the edges. Here is a tip‚Ķline up your words and stripes before you trace and cut out or you might have your words upside down or your stripes going in a weird way. ūüôā

Next I used my Bind it All to punch holes in the pages and then cinch the 3/4″ O-wire.

This is what the mini will look like once the O-wires are added.

Next I “speckled” the cover and pages with a marker spritzer (I got this several years ago from Stampin Up) and Frayed Burlap Distress Marker to give the pages a bit of “well loved” look.

These two pages I kept pretty simple. I used a chipboard baby bottle from Gina’s Design which I painted. The other page I used the backside of the Forest Trees Specialty Paper to matt the photo of Momma cat and kittens.
I actually got to see these kittens be born. I really wished I had taken photos when this happened but at the time I had not planned on keeping any of them. The momma cat, Miss Bonkers had followed me ¬†around all day and wouldn’t let me out of her sight. Well, when she finally went into labor and had all of them it was 2:00 in the¬†morning. Omega was the last kitten to be born and was half of the size of the other three kittens. Omega meaning last is how she got her name since she was the last to be born. ūüôā

I used from the new Lodge Collection the Birch Tree Paper Straws which I inked with and brown chalk ink and then I punched leaves from Wrap Glitter Cardstock, shaped and adhered to the side of the paper straw. I topped it off with a button and dew drop.
The other page I cut from the Lodge Cut Outs Cardstock the trees and inked the edges and adhered to the page…letting some of it hang off the side of the page. I added to the top of the photo The View sticker which is from the Outdoors Stickers set. I punched two leaves and shaped and topped off with a button, sequin and dew drop.

This is one of my favorite photos of Omega way up in a tree just laying there. She always got chased up a tree by my other cat, Cotton.

I cut from the Pink Glitter Cardstock four scalloped ovals from the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals diecuts and embossed all with the Flowers and Leaves embossing folder from EC crafts. I plan on adding more photos and finishing my journaling to these pullouts later on.

¬†I cut a matt from the¬†Forest Trees Specialty Paper¬†and adhered a photo of my husband and Omega to it. My hubby was already asleep when Omega got in his lap and went to sleep never waking my hubby. ūüôā Next¬†I printed and cut out from the Collage and Charm Words Mix Media Altered Art digital sheet “sweet dream” and adhered above.¬†
The “loved” photo is one from my¬†Instagram account. I used a wooden photo frame that I had received in a swap and added three pearl dew drops from Crimson Mini Dew Drops¬†to top it off. I had a leftover Valentine Hearts cardstock¬†that I cut a scallop diecut from and a scrap leftover¬†from a¬†heart cutout that I adhered to the page.

The back cover of the mini along with ribbon, fiber and charms that I added to the O-wire.

The front was major fun to do. Since I had scraps from past DT projects I used those and a script cutout from the¬†Lodge Cut Outs Cardstock,¬†Forest Trees Specialty Paper, dew drops, bling, decorative frame and doily from¬†Gina’s Designs¬†and a sticker of a vintage cat ¬†that I had bought years ago that I thought would look perfect on the front.
