What is in your stocking?

Hi everyone! I’m here to share an ornament I had actually started last Christmas but with all the craziness and such that normally goes on around this time of year I didn’t finish it. Well I did get a complete of photos of me starting the process though. 🙂

The stocking ornament is from SmoothFoam which I had received last year for a blog hop that the Robin’s Nest and SmoothFoam was hosting together.
I started by lightly sanding and applying a coat of gesso which once dry I painted the stocking with red acrylic paint. I cut the cuff of the stocking from White on White Classic Glitter Swirl Cardstock. I  applied antique Mod Podge to the stocking and then sprinkled glitter all over. Once dry I painted one of the packages, added some lace around the cuff and I put it away for the year.
I dug it out and this is how I finished it off. I used some Prima poinsettias and added a sequin and dew drop to the center for an elegant look.

I added a mini bottle brush tree, along with bells, pearl sprays and miniature Christmas lights.

I finished off with a little gold trim and a holly leaf.

Don’t you think it looks lovely on my four foot tinsel tree I got for 66% off at Hobby Lobby last year. It was a floor model and pre-lit. It reminds me of my great grandmother’s tinsel tree but hers had a color wheel with it. I remember sitting at her house at Christmas time watching the tree turn different colors…such great memories. 🙂

If you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Festive Charlotte Doll

Hi there! I’m here to share a quick project with a Hello Dolly image I purchased on etsy. I printed it I believe at 40% and then fussy cut her out, adhering her head, arms and legs to her body.

I cut two cupcake liners a part and glued around the doll to create a skirt. I added baker’s twine, mini flat back pearls, a sequin and a dew drop. The plan is to attach these to some of my Christmas presents. 🙂
If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Friday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Chester & the Boneyard Band

Hi everyone! I’m back to share another quick Halloween card I created. The base of the card is a folded 6″x6″ piece of purple cardstock and then I adhered layers of cardstock/scrapbook paper to along with a paper doilie which I sprayed with Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mantis glimmer mist.

The vineyard band cut apart is from Echo Park ‘s Chillingsworth Manor collection. I distressed the edges, inked and added pop dots before I adhered to the card. I made tulle bows which I glued behind the card along black twine, pom poms and flowers.

I finished off the card with some green ric rac, buttons, sequin and Dew Drop. There you have it another easy peasy card. 🙂 If you have any questions please let me know.
Also I am submitting this card for the Orange and Black/Halloween theme challenge over at the Paper Wings Production blog.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is fabulous and enjoy creating!

I Believe in You

Hi there! I’m back to share another quick 3″x5 1/2″ card I created using some of my leftover scraps of cardstock and scrapbook paper, along with some die cuts from K & Company, button, sequin and dew drop. Also the sentiment is from Unity Stamps.

Another easy peasy card that didn’t take very long to create! 🙂

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is great and enjoy creating!

The Baby’s Debut

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a very quick project I created using more of my scraps of cardstock and scrapbook paper. Like the Hello Friend card that I shared a few days ago the base is 3″x5 1/2″. I added scraps which I inked the edges and adhered to the top of the card. This digital image is one in several on a collage sheet I purchased a few years ago on etsy. I was going to include the link but the shop is no longer open. I adhered the image to the card along with a clear sequin and a Pearl Dew Drop. Pretty easy huh? 🙂

Also I wanted to share that my step daughter is pregnant which will be my hubby’s first grandchild and mine too…unless you want to count the dogs as grandkids that my son and his girlfriends has. 😉
I’m not sure if I’m going to use this as a card or as a page in a baby junk journal. We will see as time draws near.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Hello Friend

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a quick card I created using some left over scraps that I had laying around. The card base measures 3″x5 1/2″ folded. I cut eleven strips of cardstock and scrapbook paper in various sizes and inked  all edges to fit on the base of the card. I glued the ends of two of the strips of cardstock, the height and width of the card base, then proceeded to “weave” the strips of paper and once finished glue all ends down on the base of the card.

The wooden hello blurb I had found it in the clearance section at Michael’s. I loved the fact that it was only 10¢. I just love a good bargain. 🙂 I sprayed the blurb with Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. I printed the “friend” on cardstock, cut into a banner, inked edges and adhered underneath the hello blurb. I finished it off with a sequin and Dew drop.

I love how you can see the cardstock through the hello blurb!  If you have any questions about this card please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Dragons Lair Designs: The Shoe Fairy

Hi everyone! I am super excited to be sharing my first design project for the Dragons Lair Designs! This month’s featured product is from the Southern Comfort Collection. After pondering on what I could create with all these wonderful digital images this is what I came up with.
First I printed one of the Southern Comfort Paper onto a 5″x7″ sheet of cardstock. Then I ran the paper through my diecut machine to cut out the Rolodex card. If you don’t have a Rolodex diecut you can find a Rolodex punch at your local office supply store that can punch the notches in the bottom of the card. The Rolodex card is approximately 4 1/2″x2 1/2″.

Next I fussy cut individual images out from Southern Comfort Cluster Pack and Southern Comfort Elements digital packs which I inked edges and added Stickles to give some of the images a little glitter. Then I adhered to the top of the Rolodex and embellished with fun and whimsical crafty goodness.

The Southern Comfort Free Journal Card Sheet I fussy cut the woman with the violin out, applied pastel chalks to her dress, face and violin and glued one of the feathers to her back and then adhered her into the shoe. Both of these images where cut out from the Southern Comfort Cluster Pack. I also punched a crown from the leftover scraps that was printed and added pastel chalk to give it a little color. There you have it my whimsical little Shoe Fairy Rolodex card! I hope this has inspired you to create one for yourself. Please be sure to stop by the Dragons Lair Designs and check out the Southern Comfort Collection. There is just so much you can do with this collection!
Also if you have any questions please let me know.

Fall Splendor Card

Hi everyone! I am here to share a quick Fall card I created for a swap I am in.
I started out with a piece of cardstock which I folded in half to make a 3″x6″ card base. Then I stamped the leaf image onto a piece of cream colored cardstock, inked all edges, added bling, cut more cardstock  to frame the image and adhered to the base.

I adhered scraps of cardstock and sentiment digital image to the top of the card.

I finished off the card with a button, sequin, dew drop and twine. The only hard thing was added the tiny bling to the leaf other than that easy peasy! 🙂

Also I am submitting this card for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge 150.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saturday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Hope Whispers

Hi! I’m back to share a quick card I created for Paper Wings Productions August “Anything Goes Challenge”  you can do any type of project as long as it has some type of stamping on the it. I had ordered the Tea Time Mix Media Kit from Paper Wings and received this free Hope Whispers cling stamp with my purchase. I had already started this card and thought this sentiment would be the perfect touch to finish off my card.

The card base is 3″x5 1/2″ folded. I inked the base and all scraps of cardstock with chalk ink and adhered to the front of the card. I fussy cut the Digital Bird Image and stamped the Hope Whispers sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and adhered both to the card. I finished off with a sequin and Dew Drop

It is a perfect little card to give someone a lift and to tell them not to give up.
Be sure to stop by and play in this month’s challenge over at Paper Wings Productions!
