Magical

Hi everyone! With thoughts of cooler weather around the corner I wanted to share a winter card I had actually created for a magazine call and since it wasn’t selected I thought why not share.  🙂
I started out with a folded 6″x6″ piece of Blue Bliss Thickstock from Canvas Corp. It prefect for all of the heavy embellishments I used on the card since it is thicker than normal cardstock.

I layered a variety of different wintery cardstocks on the front of the card and then added an actual snowflake Christmas ornament along with this adorable chipboard snowman from Canvas Corp. This set of 49 wintery chipboard pieces are in the shop for only $2.25. Love me a good bargain!!! 🙂

I finished it off with tulle, tiny felt snowflake and other embellishments. The magical banner was from a rub on that at the moment I can’t remember what company…this is what happens when you start getting old…if I do I will update. 😉
If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Fabulous Fall

Hi everyone and Happy World Card Making Day! I’m here to share a quick card I created using mostly Robin’s Nest product. I started by cutting a 6″X12″ piece of Wineberry Glitter Cardstock  and folded to make a 6″X6″ card base. Cut a piece of Honeycomb Daisy Glitter Cardstock to 5 1/4″X 5 1/4″ and adhere to the base of the card. Next cut eight banners in various sizes and adhere to the side of the card. Top off with two buttons and some hemp twine. Cut the following pieces of  cardstock by: 4 1/2″X4 3/8″, 4″X4 1/8″ (crumple and use edge punch on one side) and 3″X3 3/4″ (Emboss with the Swirl embossing folder). Ink all edges, adhere together and add pop dots before gluing to card. Make three sets of hemp bows and adhere to the underneath side of the mats. Fussy cut digis leaves out, add a touch of Stickles and glue to the card. Use a piece small cream colored cardstock and add rub-on and glue to card.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Golden Mason Jar Gift Bag

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a project I created for a challenge that is going on over at Sizzix’s blog. My inspiration comes from the photo below. I love the soft, blurred and watercolor feel of the photo and this my take on it.

I started off with a small polka dot gift bag and added soft and vintage looking cardstock. Next I cut a jar from the packaging of what Eileen Hull’s Canning Jars, 3D diecut came in. Yep, the jar is plastic…I then embossed it with the Snowballs embossing folder which is from the Winter Set from Sizzix.

I then applied three coats of Gold Enamel Glitter Paint and once dry I cut and twisted two pieces of 20 gauge copper wire around the neck of the jar and “curled” all the ends.

I added a vintage earring I had received in a swap along with some twigs to the corner of the jar. I cut the flowers and leaves from Brenda Walton’s Holiday Greenery diecut, shaped and added sequins and gems/jewels/dew drops to the centers of the flowers. I cut from matboard a tag from the Tags, Mini diecut (Retired Sizzix Orginal). I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Sugar Plum Fairy and once dry I added a rub on and flower to finish it off. I then tied it to the wire.

I adhered lace and velvet ribbon to the bottom of the bag. What a perfectly adorable way to present a gift to a friend. If you have any questions please let me know. Be sure to check out Sizzix Challenge for this month and see what everyone else has created.
Also I am submitting this project for the Paper Wing Productions September Challenge.

Programmed to Get Well

Hi everyone! I’m back to share a card I created for a special little boy named Eduardo who is at St. Jude’s Hospital and he is battling Leukemia. I had got an invite on Facebook to either make a card or just go out and buy one. I choose to make one. The base of the card is actually a small paperbag which I folded and decorated.

I used an assortment of scrapbook paper, cardstock, scalloped ribbon and a rub on robot which I fussy cut and then added Eduardo name to it.

If you have any questions about Eduardo and how you can send him a card drop me a line and I’ll get the address to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday!!!
Enjoy creating!!!

Let’s Party!!!

Feeling really, really, really  good today considering I’m another year old 🙂 Yep it’s my birthday and I would like to share a birthday card I created 🙂 I had a ton of fun making this little card…lovin’ the colors and how happy it makes me feel 🙂
The base of the card is 6 1/2 x 6 cardstock which is then folded in half. I then cut various sizes of patterned paper and adhered to the front of the card. I used the Sizzix Bigz Rolodex die and then embossed it with the Cuttlebug Once Upon a Princess Cupcake folder. I did ink all of the edges of paper with Sweet Melon Color Box Classic Pigment Cat’s Eye ink.The rubber stamp is from Studio G which I stamped onto a piece of cardstock. I then stamped the image on some light blue and brown cardstock which I fussy cut that out and glued to the main birthday cake image. I colored the flames orange and a red bling to the top. Last but not less I used a Note rub on from Maya Road to make the small tab on the Rolodex card.

I hope this has inspired you to create something fun!!! Thanks for stopping by and looking!!!
