Recycled Nature Journal

Hi everyone! I have a quick project that I created for Eileen Hull’s Inspiration Team and the theme this month is about nature. I used the Pocket Diecut to create this journal from recycled corrugated cardboard.

I started by cutting two covers from a box I had laying around and adhering the spines together.

I adhered a patterned cardstock to the spine, set eyelets to the holes and strung with elastic cording. I also adhered cardstock and two decorative frame to the cover.

I added a medallion with an assortment of leaves, flower, butterfly, bows and banners to the lower corner of the cover. I left the tops of the frames open so I could add photos if I wanted to in the future.

I added five notebooks to the inside of the journal. Actually it’s an assortment of notebook and dotted paper, cardstock and doilies that I slid under the elastic and if I want I can add more pages.

There you have it! Keep and easy! Be sure to hop on over to Eileen’s blog to see what the rest of the Inspiration Team has been up to! You can find the posts HERE and HERE. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.
