Happy Holidays Snowflake Mini Slimline Card

Hi everyone! I’m back with a very quick card I created. I was in the “moment” of making this card that I completely forgot to take any step out photos of the process. This card centers on a leftover “Happy Holidays” sentiment from my Holiday Snowman Mini Slimline Card I posted about a few days ago. Anyways, let’s get started!

First, I folded a piece of 6″x6″ snowflake patterned cardstock in half to create the base of the card. I cut the “Happy Holidays” sentiment down and inked the edges with a chalk ink. Also the sentiment is from my Sparkle Snowman Stamp Set which can be found at Blank Page Muse.

Second, I cut two labels and two snowflakes from the Everyday Tags and Labels Thinlits. I embossed the smaller label with the Tablecloth Embossing Folder, lightly inked with a chalk ink before gluing with the sentiment on top of the larger labels.

Third, I glued the first snowflake die to the corner of the label. The second snowflake I added a Foam Pop Dot to the back before placing on top of the other snowflake. I finished by adding a flat back pearl to the center of the snowflake and a couple of sequins to the card base.

Happy Day Swan Card

Hi everyone! I’m back with a mini slimline card that I created using Eileen Hull’s new Mini Slimline and Tickets Thinlits and a few other of her other products. So let’s get started!

First, I folded a piece of 6″x6″ White Cardstock in half to create a card base. Next I cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than the base of the card, placed into the Tablecloth 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Diecut Machine. I lightly inked the raised embossed areas, placed Foam Pop Dots to the back before placing onto the card base.

I cut one strip of tickets and one background from the Mini Slimline and Tickets Thinlits and adhered the tickets on top of the background.

Next, I glued the tickets onto the card base.

I had received this swan medallion in a swap I had participated a couple of years ago and instead of hoarding it I decided I would use it on the card. I did change the sentiment that was on it by placing a “happy day” sticker over the other sentiment. I glued the medallion off center of the card.

I dug into my stash of flowers and leaves, I had cut these from the Folio Page Pocket and Flowers Thinlits, I shaped and glued two of the flowers on top of each other along with a sequin and a gem and added leaf sprigs before adhering to the corner of the medallion. Side note…why does it seem like when you photograph something you never see if there is a piece of fussy or in this case a hair attached until after all photos are taken and you are editing and you can’t do anything about it? Why?

But anyways, there you have it! A finished card! If you haven’t been by Eileen’s blog lately to see what her teams have been up to you can find the latest post HERE.

Sparkles Snowman Happy Holidays Stamp Set Release

Hi everyone! Guess what?!?! I now have a set of stamps I’ve designed with Blank Page Muse!!!Can you tell I’m so excited? The stamp set is called Sparkles Snowman Happy Holidays Slimline Stamp Set.

I designed this in mind with making mini slimline cards but you can do so much more with this stamp set. I used a sheet of patterned cardstock from a 6″x6″ paper pad, folded in half, to create this card but a standard mini slimline measures 3 1/2″x6″. I figured what is half an inch? Plus its a great way to use up some of those 6″x6″ pads that are laying around.

I placed the snowman face and sentiment stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with waterproof Black Ink and stamped onto a piece of Cream Cardstock. I dug out my chalk pastels, Colored Pencils to color in the face and I filled in the eyes with clear glitter glue.

I adhered two strips of patterned cardstock to the base of the card and placed the snowman face off center of the card. Next I cut a snowflake from Wreath and Snowflake Thinlits out of vellum placed and glued slightly off the card…I cut the excess off and decorated with light blue gems. The final step I matted the sentiment and placed Foam Pop Dots to the back before adding to the lower corner of the card. I also inked around the base of the card with chalk ink.

I’ll be sharing more projects with this stamp set later on so be sure to stop back by! Also use code BPMTonya to get 15% off this stamp set along other purchases too. So be sure to head to Blank Page Muse’s website and purchase Sparkles Snowman Happy Holidays Stamp Set.

Blank Page Muse and Cat Lovers Hop

Hi everyone! Blank Page Muse and Her Peaceful Garden are teaming up to do a blog hop and it’s all about cats! This hop is to celebrate cats of all sizes and shapes during the last full week of October because National Cat Day is October 29th. Also the best part Blank Page Muse is one of the sponsors…lots of cat stamps to choose from…wink, wink!

When you have a chance check out all the cat stamps on the websites: Blank Page Muse and I Brake for Stamps.

Since I’m a lover of all things cats I couldn’t wait to create a little card using the close up cat face from the Cats Full Sheet from I Brake for Stamps Site.

My inspiration for this card is my cat Omega. A little info on her…I actually seen her born (runt of the litter) over eleven years ago and she was half the size of her litter mates. She can be a little diva at times but I wouldn’t have it any other way. She LOVES chin scratches, sleeping next to my pillow at night and can be very chatty if she’s hungry. But most important of all she’s even converted my husband into a cat lover. I told my husband when he proposed that she was part of the package deal. Anyways lets get started on how I created my card.

First I placed the cat stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Black Ink onto a piece of Watercolor Paper.

I gathered up an assortment of inks and watercolors and painted the cat image.

I folded a 6″x6″ piece of patterned cardstock in half to create a card base. I cut another piece of patterned cardstock slightly smaller than the base and two strips of cardstock and adhered all to the card front. I added a mat to the cat image before gluing to the card and I finished off by adding flatback pearls down the side of the card. Be sure to stop by Her Peaceful Garden’s blog for details on the hop.
