Father’s Day Mustache Container

Hi everyone! I am back again today with a quick and easy Father’s Day project that I created using Blends 2 Inks, rubber stamp and a art screen! All you need is an empty container of your choice.

I started by cleaning a container inside and out. I used an empty M and M container that I have received around Christmas. I also remove the labels on the outside and I used a little Goo Be Gone to get the sticky residue off. I placed Watercolor Paper on top of the Rectangle Border Diecut and placed in between cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine. I cut out two diecuts to cover the front and back. I placed the lid from the container on top of watercolor paper and traced with a pencil onto the watercolor paper. Next I placed the Disco Art Screen 1 on top of rectangle diecut and loaded an Art Dauber with Beach Blends 2 Ink and applied over the art screen. I loaded another art dauber with Uniform Blends 2 Ink and apply lightly over screen. I completed the same steps for other rectangle diecut and lid and I inked around the edges of both diecuts and circle with Hydrangea Blends 2 Ink

I adhered both diecuts to container and circle to the top of lid.

I inked the Mustaches Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto White Cardstock
I cut around the stamped image with a Paper Cutter  and inked an art dauber with Uniform Blends 2 Ink and ink edges of mustache tag.

I adhered the stamped image to the corner edge of the diecut that is on the container. I made a bow from red seam binding and adhered to the diecut and mustache tag. And last but not least I filled it with yummy snack bars and candy. As always if you have questions about this project please let me know.

Gears and Sprockets Dad Tag

Hi everyone! With Father’s Day quickly approaching I want to share a manly tag I created using ColorBox and Eileen Hull’s newest Blends 2 Inks!

I inked a glass tray with Nutmeg and Golden Blends 2 Inks and added a small amount of water to each ink. I placed the tag in both ink mixtures and once completely covered I removed and let dry. I placed the tag in the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and place between cutting plates and run through the Diecut MachineI inked two Art Daubers with Nutmeg and Flagstone Blends 2 Inks and lightly ink over embossed area and edges of tag.

I inked the glass tray with Stop Blends 2 Ink, added water to the ink, loaded a paint brush with ink mixture and splatter tag. Next I inked the glass tray with Nutmeg Blends 2 Ink, added water to ink and added half of the Handwritten Creative Card to ink mixture. Once completely covered I removed and let dry. I placed the inked card on top of the Rectangle diecut and place between cutting plates and run through diecut machine. I adhered the diecut off center of tag.

Next I placed a piece of watercolor paper on top of three gear diecuts from the Sprightly Sprockets Diecuts and placed between cutting plates and run through diecut machine. I inked the glass tray with Nutmeg Blends 2 Ink, added water to ink and place gear diecuts in ink mixture. Once completely covered I removed and let dry. Next clean the glass tray and ink with Copper and Rose Gold Blends 2 Inks  I loaded two Art Daubers with inks and randomly ink all three gear diecuts and circle diecut from the center of one of the gear diecuts. I applied Opalescent Embossing Powder to all diecuts and set with a Heat ToolI inked all diecuts randomly with Top Boss Clear Embossing Stamp Pad and applied more Opalescent Embossing Powder to diecuts and set with heat tool.

I adhered the gear diecuts to tag and added four gold gems to sprocket gear diecut.

Next ink the letters “dad” with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamp onto the circle diecut. I cut three nine inch pieces of cording and tie off at the top of tag.

I punched a hole in the circle diecut and with wire snips I cut a small amount of 24GA Brown Bend Wire and thread through cording. I added circle diecut and twist to secure diecut. I curled the wire around pencil. I finished by adding three sequins and a gem to the corner of circle diecut. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

ClearSnap: Dad and Me Jar

Hi everyone! I’m back with another quick and easy project for Father’s Day using a few of my favorite ColorBox Blends. I started by applying Beach and Leaf ColorBox Blends onto a glass tray. I placed the Zig Zag Art Screen on top of the Tag. I inked up an Art Dauber with beach ink and applied over the stencil. I repeated the same steps with the leaf ink. I removed the stencil and with the art daubers I rub the excess ink over the white of the tag. I also cut approximately an inch off of the bottom of the tag.
I stamped the Dad Bear and Child Bear stamp onto four different pieces of patterned cardstock with ColorBox Archival Dye Wicked Black Ink. I fussy cut dad bear, child bear, sweater and pattern image from sweater out separately and adhered pieces together. I cut a piece of patterned cardstock to fit the center of tag and glued to the tag along with the bear images. I finished off by cutting and tying the tag with 18 inches of cording around the neck of a 15 oz. jar. The excess cording I tied into a bow and now all I need to do is add peanut M&Ms and I will have a happy husband.

ClearSnap: Father’s Day Mustache Pocket Box

Hi everyone! I’m back to share a quick Father’s Day project I created for ClearSnap. Before cutting out the Flower Pocket Diecut I applied a total of four Adhesive Sheets to the front and back sides of the Mat Board. I cut 7 Gypsies Archtextures: Painted Door Cardstock to fit the front of the mat board, peeled the protective sheet off of the adhesive and placed the cardstock onto the mat board. On the back side of the mat board I cut 7 Gypsies Vintage Varsity: Stubs Cardstock (retired) and repeated the same steps as for the other cardstock. Once cut out I put together according to the directions on the packaging.

I cut from Kraft Cardstock a Medallion from the Medallion Diecut. Put together and inked with ColorBox Pigment Platinum Ink. I stamped the Mustache Rubber stamp onto a piece of white cardstock with ColorBox Archival Dye Wicked Black Ink. I fussy cut one of the mustache images out and adhered to the center of the medallion. Next I punched a circle out, embossed with the Starburst Embossing Folder and inked with the Platinum ink. I added a cording bow and sequins to finish off the pocket. Now all I need is some shaving supplies such as a razor, shaving cream, aftershave, etc. and its ready to give as a gift!

As always if you have questions please let me know.

Happy Dad Day Card

Hi everyone! I thought I would share a quick Father’s Day card I created for ClearSnap. I started with a 5″x7″ Kraft Card as the base. I cut a piece of white cardstock to fit inside the  Houndstooth Embossing Folder and embossed. I then spritzed with ClearSnap Platinum Smooch Spritz and once dry I inked the edges with ColorBox Pigment Metallic Black Ink. I wrapped cording three times around the embossed image, tied off on the front and center of the of the card and adhered two buttons to the center of the cording. I glued a patterned cardstock to the back of the embossed image before adhering the whole to piece to the card base.

I inked the Happy Dad Day rubber stamp with ClearSnap ColorBox Archival Dye Wicked Black Ink and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. I cut a Black Cardstock slightly larger than the Happy Dad Day image and adhere both piece together and glue to the card base. There you have it an easy peasy card that you can whip out in no time at all!
As always if there are questions about this card please let me know.

I would also like to submit this card for the following challenges:

Motorcycles and Father’s Day

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a quick card I created and wish all of you fathers and fatherly figures out there a Happy Father’s Day!!!
I made this card for my wonderful husband using the Motorcycle printable from Altered Pages. I fussy cut the red motorcycle from the sheet and added a paint chip, scraps of scrapbook paper, embossed gears and sprockets from a cuttlebug embossing folder, Tim Holtz gears and the cut out gears are from a swap I was in a few years back and I never had found a use for them until now. Oh, the base of the card is from a pack of card bases I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby a few years back too.

I wound up giving the card to my husband a day early since we rode to the Harley Davidson store and then over to Cade’s Cove in the Smokey Mountains. We had used my camera to photograph our trip through the Cove and I knew once he got home and uploaded pics he would see the photos of the card. Even though it isn’t a blue sportster Harley he liked the card anyway. 🙂

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Sunday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

#1 Dad Easel Card

Hi everyone! This month over at the Crafty Card Gallery we had to try a new technique. Well, if you know me I love taking a 12×12 sheet of cardstock and making four 3″x6″ cards out of that one sheet. After much trial and error…I tried gesso and a stencil and let me tell you I had a very big mess but I did manage a few gessoed dots on the top part of my card without smearing. I did decided to finally try my hand at a easel card and this is what I came up with.
I cut a 6″x6″ cardbase from Calamity Jane Stripe cardstock and the easel I cut a 6″x11″ with folds at 4″, 4″,1″,1″,1″ from brown cardstock.
The sailors digital image is from Eclectic Anthology. I printed on cardstock and fussy cut out. I cut a piece of cream cardstock and distressed the edges and inked and then adhered the sailor image to the top of it. Next I added gauze, twine around the edge of the cream colored cardstock and then adhered to the base. I fussy cut sea life from a sheet of scrapbook paper that is from Paper Studio. I adhered those along with real mini seashells, dew drops and sequins around the edges of the base.

I folded the brown cardstock and adhered to the back of the card.

Next I cut the leftover striped and red cardstock and glued three of the sides to the back to make a pocket. It will be perfect to add a small note and gift card. Now I have a father’s day card finished and need to create one more. 🙂

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Sunday is awesome and enjoy creating!!! 🙂
