Alice in Wonderland Junk Journal

Hi there! What a busy month this has been!!! I’m still in the middle of remodeling my bathroom and having back problems to boot…it bites getting old…which makes it hard to sit, move or do much of anything.
I do want to share some photos of a junk journal I created along with a short video of the 132 pages that are inside.
Also I am submitting my journal for Eileen Hull’s Art with Heart “Anything Goes” Challenge that is going on this month. I had begun a ATB at the beginning of the month and it just wasn’t coming together so I put it aside. I have learned hard lessons from trying to force creativity when it just isn’t there and have came away with a ruined project. So maybe later something will click and I’ll finish it.

I hope you enjoy the video. I had to learn how to use Adobe Element by myself…lots of trial and error on my part…but I think the video turned out ok considering. 🙂

I added two signatures which was 16 papers in one and 17 papers in the other signature which is 132 pages front and back.

The pocket watch is a Tattered Angels chipboard piece that I painted with some Tim Holtz Distressed Crackle Paint, added a Marion Smith bunny image and finished off with lace, buttons, dew drop and flowers.

Pages and pages of fun crafty goodness!

Close up of one of the pockets with tags.

I had received the green tea bag and the tea cup brad in swaps and I was glad I was able to use them on this page. The Mad Hatter image is from a collage sheet I got from Altered Pages.

Supplies Used:
Digital Images: Altered Pages, Dreamz EtCetera, Cemerony
File Folder, Cardstock, notebook paper, scrapbook paper, rubber stamps, baker’s twine, ribbon, lace, buttons, dew drops, chipboard pieces, paper flowers

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Merry and Bright Christmas Card

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a really quick project for a swap I was in on Facebook. I found this super cute reindeer rubber stamp at Michael’s when I was out one day. The cards were easy peasy to make. 6″x6″ cardstock folded in half to make a 3″x6″ card base, stamping and add scrapbook paper, button, sequin and dew drop. See it really is a simple card to make. 🙂

If you have any questions let me know. Thanks for stopping by, have an awesome Monday and enjoy creating!!!

Scrappy Divas Mini Composition Notebook Swap

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a few quick projects that I actually created a month ago for a swap over at the Scrappy Divas Facebook page. We had to use a mini composition book which measure around  3 1/2x 4 1/2 inches. We were to decorate the front, back and inside. I checked with both on my swap partners to see if they had a preference and they left it up to me how I wanted to decorate it.
I created this orange and yellow comp mini for Von.

The inside I embossed the inside cover and wrapped the scrapbook paper around to make a small pocket that she can store tags or receipts.  Since I knew she likes butterflies I added those through out the comp mini.

The next one I used blues and soft pink and which I created for MiMi.

In her mini comp book I added mason jar images that I had got over at Tsunami Rose’s site…the library cards that are the fronts of both comp minis are from there too.

I also want to share what MiMi and Von created for me. The one below MiMi made me.
Von made this one with the butterfly on the front.
I absolutely think both ladies did an outstanding job. They are “almost” to pretty to write in…notice I said almost. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day and enjoy creating!!!

Swaps and The Scrappin’ Queens

I’m popping in for a very quick post :-). I have been super busy with swaps, crafting and trying out for design team calls. I did submit some of my past projects to Dawn Duntley’s Facebook group “The Scrappin’ Queens ” Artist of the Week call. Well guess what?!?!?!? I got selected…squeaks of excitement and of course I was doing the happy dance too 🙂 Below is the screen shot of my famous moment. If you get a chance please go over and “like” The Scrappin’ Queens page.

I don’t do as many swaps as I use to but I couldn’t past up Steffo Miller aka “With a Grin” super fun tag swap. I had to send in 20 #6 tags with 10 of one image and 10 of another image stamped in Staz-on ink. I went a little overboard and created little kits. I can’t wait to see what I get back!!!

Next I altered a mini Fall themed matchbox for a swap I was in on Swap-bot and filled it with all sorts of fun tidbits of craftiness. The lighting wasn’t that good so the colors aren’t as viberate as I like. I also used my camera awesome app on my iPhone too.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires you to create something fun and enjoy creating!!!
