Happy Day Swan Card

Hi everyone! I’m back with a mini slimline card that I created using Eileen Hull’s new Mini Slimline and Tickets Thinlits and a few other of her other products. So let’s get started!

First, I folded a piece of 6″x6″ White Cardstock in half to create a card base. Next I cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than the base of the card, placed into the Tablecloth 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Diecut Machine. I lightly inked the raised embossed areas, placed Foam Pop Dots to the back before placing onto the card base.

I cut one strip of tickets and one background from the Mini Slimline and Tickets Thinlits and adhered the tickets on top of the background.

Next, I glued the tickets onto the card base.

I had received this swan medallion in a swap I had participated a couple of years ago and instead of hoarding it I decided I would use it on the card. I did change the sentiment that was on it by placing a “happy day” sticker over the other sentiment. I glued the medallion off center of the card.

I dug into my stash of flowers and leaves, I had cut these from the Folio Page Pocket and Flowers Thinlits, I shaped and glued two of the flowers on top of each other along with a sequin and a gem and added leaf sprigs before adhering to the corner of the medallion. Side note…why does it seem like when you photograph something you never see if there is a piece of fussy or in this case a hair attached until after all photos are taken and you are editing and you can’t do anything about it? Why?

But anyways, there you have it! A finished card! If you haven’t been by Eileen’s blog lately to see what her teams have been up to you can find the latest post HERE.

Pull Yourself Together Card

Hi everyone! I am back with another quick and easy card I created! As I had mentioned in a previous blog post ColorBox closed their doors July 31st and I still have a few projects that I created using their product…I know I am slow getting them posted…sorry there is only so much of me to go around in a day but I am getting there. 😕

I started by inking a glass tray with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Salmon and Bumble Bee inks, added water, loaded a paint brush and randomly added the ink mixture to the Tiny Dots Creative Card front and then I let dry. I placed the Swirl Dot Art Screen on top of card, inked an Art Dauber with Tomato Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and rubbed over the art screen. Once I achieved the desired effect I was after I removed the art screen.

I placed the Scallop Square Cutting Template on top of a piece of Watercolor Paper, placed between cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine.I inked the glass tray with Bumble Bee Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, added water and placed the scallop square diecut in the ink mixture and once the diecut was completely covered I removed and let dry. I placed the Pull Yourself Together sentiment from the Buttercup Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto the scallop square diecut. Next I inked an art dauber with Princess Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and inked the edges of scallop square diecut and adhered to the card base.

I placed a piece of watercolor paper on top of the Intricate Flowers Border Diecut, placed between cutting plates and run through the diecut machine. I inked art daubers with the following Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks: Fruit Punch, Princess and Inchworm and inked the intricate flowers border diecut and glued to the lower half of the card base. I inked the Mandala Heart Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper. Then inked a glass tray with Princess Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink, added water and painted the stamped Mandala Heart image and let dry. I fussy cut the heart image out with scissors, added Foam Pop Dots to the back and placed on the card. I then inked two art daubers with Tomato  and Posy Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks and inked the lower half of the heart image.

Next I placed the heart stamp from the Thankful Clear Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and inked with Posy Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper. I fussy cut the heart image out with scissors and adhered to the larger heart.I finished by adding tulle and thread behind the larger heart. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Always be an Original Card

Hi everyone! I am back with a quick card I created using some inks and a creative card by ColorBox. Last week was very crazy because my husband had a health scare and wound up being sent to the ER by his personal doctor and then was admitted to the hospital and kept over night for a procedure. 😳 So all my big plans for being productive and posting for last week was put on hold. But anyway…lets get started!

I stamped the Escape Pigment Ink onto a glass tray, add water to each color and painted around the building images on Cityscape Creative Card

I used a “dappling effect”with the Paint Brush to create a cloudy look on the base of the card and then I let dry.

I cut two strips of patterned cardstock and adhered near the top of the card. Next I cut out one house from the House One Diecuts (Spellbinders retired) or you can cut a house out by hand. I adhered the house diecut to the card and add mini gems to the top of the house die to create a roof.

I printed from the computer the sentiment “Always be an Original”, punched out with a decorative punch, inked around the edges with the Escape Pigment Ink and adhere to the card.

I punched two flowers and two leaves from patterned cardstock, shape and glue to the sentiment and house. I  also added flat back pearls to the center of each flower and adhered a couple loops of thread underneath one of the flowers. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

I Believe in You

Hi there! I’m back to share another quick 3″x5 1/2″ card I created using some of my leftover scraps of cardstock and scrapbook paper, along with some die cuts from K & Company, button, sequin and dew drop. Also the sentiment is from Unity Stamps.

Another easy peasy card that didn’t take very long to create! 🙂

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is great and enjoy creating!
