Autumn is in the Air Candle Holder

Hi everyone! I’m back and I wanted to share a quick Fall home decor project I created for ClearSnap.

You can use any size jar for this project. First I adhered Jute Cording around the jar three times.

Underneath the jute I applied Antique Mod Podge with a sponge brush and add Sprinkle! Chunky Glitter onto the Mod Podge area of the jar. Shake off excess and let dry.

Apply mini gems around the top of the jute cording.

Cut two medium flowers and three small flowers from Crinoline fabric with the Journaling Cards, Flowers and Leaves Diecuts. Lightly ink two art daubers with Red Barn and Carney Inks and apply to the center of each flower.

Once dry add a drop of adhesive to the center of each flower. Lay each flower on top of each other and pinch the center of all the flowers and shape.

I cut one Leaf out of Watercolor Paper from the Journaling Cards, Flowers and Leaves Diecut. Ink art dauber with Carney Ink and apply over the leaf diecut and shape leaf.

Apply Top Boss Embossing pad to the edges of the leaf. Sprinkle Copper Embossing Powder over the embossed area of the leaf and set embossing powder with heat tool.

I completed the same steps as above with each of the following embossing powders: Gold Sparkle and Opalescent Embossing Powders.

Loop two hemp cordings and tie off along with a couple of messy loops of yellow and peach thread. Adhere to the back of the flower along with the leaf and glue to jar.

Add lace and pearl sprays behind the flower and to finish off all you need is a battery operated candle.

This project would be prefect for an Autumn wedding too. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Get Wrapped Blog Hop: Start Something Journal

Hi everyone! I hope y’all are having a great day. Here, where I live, the weather is cooling down which means fall is right around the corner. Even though I could live in a Spring/Summer climate year around it is nice that the temperatures aren’t in the upper 90’s+. 😎 Well, enough about weather and lets get on with this blog post and the Let’s Get Wrapped Blog Hop!

For my project I cut one Wrapped Journal from Mat Board and embossed the whole cover with the Retro Circles Embossing Folder.

I painted the whole outside and the inside spines with Green Patina Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paint.

I randomly inked the cover with Top Boss Embossing Pad and sprinkled the Dirty Sand Bake Texture over the Top Boss areas and used a heat tool to set the Bake Texture.

I used both of the circle stamps from the Stampendous! Mushroom Home Set. I inked the circle stamps with the Top Boss Embossing Pad and in random spots I stamped the cover. I sprinkled Midnight Sky Allure onto the Top Boss areas and set with the heat tool. I completed the same steps with the Just Java Aroma.

I went back over the cover again randomly applying Top Boss, sprinkling Dirty Sand Bake Texture to the cover and setting it with a heat tool.

I punched holes in the cover and added Antique Gold Closure Handles which can be found at Hobby Lobby .

I added Dirty Sand Bake Texture to the inside spines and covered the inside with a map patterned cardstock from the Paper Studio Uncharted Paper Collection. I also tied off a rust colored elastic cord to hold notebooks or junk journal pages.

To finish up the outside cover of my wrapped journal I went through my chipboard embellishments and came across this book plate that had been printed and cut off center. Well, that’s no problem!

I completely inked the book plate with Top Boss, added Midnight Sky Allure and set with a heat tool.

I cut a circle from patterned cardstock using the Circle Diecut from the Word and Circles 2 Stamp and Diecut Collection which I adhered to the cover. I also added this colorful image of a boy, paper strip and book plate with a sentiment I found in a sticker pack. I finished the book plate off with two black gems. Now all I need to do is add pages or notebooks to the inside.
