Parisian Toilet Paper Roll Mini Album

Hi everyone! This isn’t going to be a very long post as far as talking about each page but if you have any questions about what was used or how it was put together please let me know.  I have LOTS of deadlines going on but I wanted to share a very quick post of a toilet paper roll mini album I created for my swap partner Kris. The swap is over at My Scrap Room and the TP mini had to be done in a Parisian theme with five empty TP rolls, three embellishments per page and a pull out per roll and could be bound anyway we wanted to. I chose to bind mine with the bind it all. I used the My Mind’s Eye: Lost and Found Two collection, bits and pieces I had laying around and printables from Dreamz Etc.
I hope you enjoy! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Alice in Wonderland Junk Journal

Hi there! What a busy month this has been!!! I’m still in the middle of remodeling my bathroom and having back problems to boot…it bites getting old…which makes it hard to sit, move or do much of anything.
I do want to share some photos of a junk journal I created along with a short video of the 132 pages that are inside.
Also I am submitting my journal for Eileen Hull’s Art with Heart “Anything Goes” Challenge that is going on this month. I had begun a ATB at the beginning of the month and it just wasn’t coming together so I put it aside. I have learned hard lessons from trying to force creativity when it just isn’t there and have came away with a ruined project. So maybe later something will click and I’ll finish it.

I hope you enjoy the video. I had to learn how to use Adobe Element by myself…lots of trial and error on my part…but I think the video turned out ok considering. 🙂

I added two signatures which was 16 papers in one and 17 papers in the other signature which is 132 pages front and back.

The pocket watch is a Tattered Angels chipboard piece that I painted with some Tim Holtz Distressed Crackle Paint, added a Marion Smith bunny image and finished off with lace, buttons, dew drop and flowers.

Pages and pages of fun crafty goodness!

Close up of one of the pockets with tags.

I had received the green tea bag and the tea cup brad in swaps and I was glad I was able to use them on this page. The Mad Hatter image is from a collage sheet I got from Altered Pages.

Supplies Used:
Digital Images: Altered Pages, Dreamz EtCetera, Cemerony
File Folder, Cardstock, notebook paper, scrapbook paper, rubber stamps, baker’s twine, ribbon, lace, buttons, dew drops, chipboard pieces, paper flowers

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Sing Me a Lullaby

Hi everyone! I know it has been a few weeks since my last post but I’ve been crafting up a storm and I also managed to slip off for a long weekend in warm and sunny Florida.I got back on Monday with the intent of photographing and finishing up blog posts. Well I have come down some type sinus crud and a swollen gland in my neck. 😦 Needless to say I went to the doctor and got medication. Now it needs to take effect so I can get back to my normal self. 🙂
Well, I want to share my very first attempt of using the Eileen Hull Square Box XL Scoreboard diecut for the Art with Heart April Showers challenge that is going on over at her blog this month.
First I cut the box from matt board, inked the edges and used the Lil Angelz Kit 1 digital kit from the Dreams Etc Etsy shop as the base to decorate this adorable ATB (artist trading block). I sized down the digital image to fit the block and decorated. 🙂

The top of the block I painted a wooden doily and once dry I spritzed it with a combination of Perfect Pearls Mist Mint and Biscotti Sprays and let dry. Next I adhered two buttons and a glass knob to the top of the block. I finished that off with a smaller button, sequin and a dew drop.

I think I am finally getting the hang of how to make these 3D roses…when all else fails go to You Tube and watch how to videos on how to make them…lol 😉

I used some Pink Honeycomb scrapbook paper to offset the sleeping baby and little girl in the baby shoe and topped it off with a sprig of flowers and some little pink swirls.

The white flowers I lightly inked with Shabby Pink and then stickled for the perfect vintage look.

The butterfly I fussy cut, added stickles and antenna which I used jewelry wire that I wrapped with Tim Holtz Elements Tissue Tape, then shaped and adhered to the butterfly.
Also I used the Spare Parts Screw Fasteners as little legs for my block.

This baby block could be used for a baby shower or as a decoration. Too cute!!!
I can honestly say I am hooked on these artist trading block and I already have more ideas swirling around in this head of mine. 🙂
