January Altered Rolodex Swap

Hi everyone!!! Just wanted to share a quick post today of a Rolodex I created for a swap I’m in on Swap-bot. The theme of the rolo¬†could be anything vintage so I choose to go with something along the lines of snow…since it has been cold around here…brrr ūüėČ

I used my Sizzix Card, Telephone & Address die to cut out my Rolodex cards…I had to make one for myself too… to me¬†this is a lot easier than trying to actually alter a rolo card that you purchase at a office supply place. ūüôā I also used cardstock, bits of scrapbook paper, lace, baker’s twine,¬†old buttons and¬†Dew Drops. The¬†vintage sheet of music¬†I used my Sizzlets Merry Details die to cut¬†out snowflakes. The snowman image I got from Vintage Image Crafts¬†on Facebook. If you are on Facebook¬†go¬†over to their page and like them. There is tons upon tons of images that you can download and the best part it is FREE ūüôā

I also inked all of the edges and I used Crystal Stickles on the image to give it that snowy glittery look.

The back of the card I download the 2013 calendar from Crafty Secrets and cut out the January calendar. I used my printer to print out the words snow day and my¬†name which I adhered to the rolo. Wa-laa!!! Finished!!! ūüôā¬†Now all¬†I¬†need¬†is a Rolodex holder!!! ūüôā

Altered Coffee Cup Sleeve Mini Halloween Album

I would like to share a mini album I created for¬†The Robin’s Nest¬†design team call that I am trying out for. Please stop by their¬†store and see what fun crafty things that you purchase and use in your own crafty projects. Also check out their blog for lots of fun inspiration too.

I had seen on Pinterest and You Tube these super cute mini albums that are made out of coffee cup sleeves that I have been dieing to create. Since my boyfriend, Greg loves to drink coffee I had him saving the sleeves for me.

First off I traced the coffee sleeves onto the pieces of cardstock and scrapbook paper that I have selected.

I then cut out the shape and adhere it on top of the coffee cup sleeves front and back. Ink all edges of in Versa Magic Sahara Sand Chalk Ink. This gives your pages a soft aged vintage look. Once I punched holes in the side of each sleeve I used Glue Dots Glue Lines to seal the bottom of each sleeve which you can now add a tag or a small memento to each sleeve.

This is the front cover of my mini I created.

I used a variety of products that I had leftover and that I had received in swaps to create this fun little album.

I used a variety of stickers that I had left over to tags, pages and journaling spots.

The page above is too cute to be spooky. ūüôā¬†

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires you to alter your own fun mini coffee cup sleeve album!

Crafty Card Gallery DT and a Art Journal Page Thrown in too

I would have shared this sooner but have been under the weather this week. I do now¬†feel a lot better. First I would like to share some super¬†fun news…drum rolls please… I made the Crafty Card Gallery Design Team…I’m doing the¬†happy dance. Me along with 17 other super talented crafty folks were selected to Jennifer Restivo’s inaugural design team.

If you get a chance please go check out the blog and see just how creative everyone is.

Also I would like to share a quick photo of a page out of my art journal I had¬†worked on. This page is actually made out of a toilet paper roll. First¬†I flattened the roll, used a bone folder to get sharp edges on the roll. The front I wanted to share my cousin Lorie’s birthday. I used scrap’s of scrapbook paper, heart button embellishment, baker’s twine, stamped July the 4th and finally used some left over Crafty Secrets images.

On the other side, which I had a total blast creating, I used scraps of¬†scrapbook paper, eyelet, Prima flower with¬†a brad in the center, Prima wings, Martha Stewart crown punch with a button in the center, the baby is a leftover Crafty Secrets image that¬†half of the body had been cut away. So to cover up this obvious flaw I made a “nest” out packing paper…I think it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself…***smiles***…and last but not least I used some Pink Paislee stickers for the date.¬†¬†

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires you to create something fun!!!
