You are a Natural Beauty

Hi everyone! I’m back with a project I actually created several months ago for Eileen Hull’s Chapter One Release and never got around to sharing. This project I used the Book Box Diecut but used the hinge on the shorter side of the box instead of the longer side.

I placed Adhesive Sheets on both side of the Mat Board before adding cardstock (Lakeside Blooms Paper Pad (discontinued)) to either side and running through the Diecut Machine.

I put the box together according to the directions but as I stated above I cut the hinge down to fit the side of the box because I had a “mess up” that I had to cover up…ooops!

I cut out a frame from the Books and Pages, Trinket Box and Frame Diecut (retired). I placed Foam Pop Dots on the back before placing onto the box. I used embellishments from the Vintage Artistry Sage Collection, a couple of store bought flowers and flower diecuts from the Folio Page Pocket and Flowers Thinlits to decorate the lid of the box.

I adhered lace, thread and added gems to the center of the flowers to finish off the box.

If you haven’t been by Eileen Hull’s blog lately you can find her latest posts from her teams HERE and HERE.

New Eileen Hull Chapter One Release!

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to share a little sneak peek of my Chapter 1 release with you! This diecut collection is so versatile, practical and fun to embellish.

The Phone Stand, and XL Scoreboards die, is a MUST-you need one for every room! Make for yourself, family, friends, for gifts or to sell-the die cuts the stand in one pass and is very easy to assemble.

The Book Box can be used to make a book or a box that holds A-2 greeting cards. What a great way to package handmade cards…or a quick and easy book!

Add the Vintage Buttons Embossing Folder to create vintage backgrounds for cards, journals, pages and tags. The 3D effect is stunning when you add a little Luster Wax to bring out the highlights…

The Snail Mail Thinlits die cuts a postal pane that coordinates with two of Eileen’s Snail Mail Maker Forte Stamps. This die was designed to use on the front of a A-2 card!

The dies may be found in local scrapbook stores, online and Eileen’s ETSY Store.

Here is a couple of little peeks of my project and I will share the full reveal later this month so be sure to stop back by!

I’m so excited about all of the new diecuts from this release and I can’t wait to share a sneak peek of my journal with you. For this project I used the Folio Journal Diecut and the flowers from the Folio Page Pocket and Flower Thinlits to create the cover.

I cut the journal from an extra thick file folder (love the floral design on the folder).

I cut two covers from the diecut and adhered the spine together.

I used an assortment of ephemera, craft supplies from my craft room (it’s a no spend month until my husband goes back to work) and the flowers thinlits from the Folio Page Pocket and Flower Thinlits to decorate the cover of the journal. Later this month I will share the inside of the journal so be sure to stop back by!

Memo Pad Holder and Pen Clip with Eileen Hull

Hi everyone! I’m back from Creativation and I had a tiring but fun time! I hope to do a blog post later about my adventures there in the next week or two…it is so hard to get back into the swing of things. Anyway, I want to share my project using Eileen Hull’s newest Display Stand Diecut.
I started by placing Adhesive Sheets on both sides of the Matboard and adding patterned cardstock over the adhesive (this makes it so much easier) before placing the diecut on top and running through the Diecut Machine.

I tried to put the stand together according to the directions but I bent the diecut the wrong way to begin with…can we say up oh…the bottom front of the diecut once I put it together right was buckled up pretty bad. BUT!!! I was able to cover up my mistake with hot pink gems which in my opinion dressed it up. I cut a piece of cardstock about an inch wide and the length of the stand and adhered each end to the stand. I created a belly band which I then placed the back sheet of the memo pad through the band. This is an easy way to replace the pad of paper once it is used up.

Next I cut a piece of elastic to fit around an ink pen and adhered each end to each side of a binder clip.

From my stash of flowers and leaves I had cut from the Flowers and Leaves Journaling Cards Thinlits Dies I shaped flowers and leaves and adhered to the top of the display stand and to the binder clip.

I also added buttons, glossy dots and loops of green thread to the center of each flower.

I placed an ink pen into the binder clip holder before clipping to the side of the display stand. This diecut has so many possibilities! As always if you have questions about this project please let me know. To see the rest of Eileen’s Inspiration Teams projects you can find the posts HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

Collect Beautiful Moments Box with Eileen Hull

Hi everyone! I am super excited to share Eileen Hull’s newest  Gift Box with Scalloped Edges and Label Diecut from her Chapter One Collection! There is so much you can do with this diecut. The obvious is a box that you can add a gift inside if you like, a book or just decorate and use as a home decor piece.
For my project I used cardstock and cut a parts from an old Recollections paper pad I had. After I put the box together according to the directions I adhered corner protectors to each corner of the box and gems.
I raided my stash of paper flowers and other paper ephemera and added to the box.
I also used chipboard embellishments and stickers from Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes. I tried to add as much dimension as I could to each side. I accomplished this adding Foam Pop Dots to the back of the embellishments.
The top of the box I adhered a doily, decorative diecut, buttons, paper flower and a bow made from cording.
For more inspiration hop on over to Eileen’s blog for more creativity from her team. You can find this month’s post HERE and HERE. Also if you have any questions about this project please let me know.
