Sizzix’s New Product Share and Art with Heart Mini Easter Album

Hi everyone! Easter is right around the corner and I am sharing this little shaker mini album I created for this month’s challenge over on Eileen Hull’s blog using Paper Leather, Ink Sheets, Luggage Tag and the Rosebuds embossing folder from the Rosebuds and Seed Packet Set

You can find past inspiration teams projects HERE and HERE using the Paper Leather and Ink Sheets. Also check out these videos HERE and HERE which gives tips and ideas on how to use to use both of these products.
If you have checked out the links I provided you can see there are so many different things you can create with these!!!

For my project I cut out five of the luggage tags from Matboard and then cut each one apart at the fold.
I inked all edges of the diecuts with Picked Raspberry Distress Stain. From the packaging that the Luggage Tag came in I cut two pieces of plastic a little bit bigger than the”windows” of the diecut. I adhered to one side of two of the windows and put aside to let the glue dry very well since I don’t want sequins and beads to get stuck to the edges.
I cut two of the “window” tags from the pink paper leather, a gold ink sheet and then embossed each one with the Rosebud embossing folder.
I also embossed both of the window inserts the same way and I used a hole punch and punched a hole in the top of each one.

I adhered four of the window tags together along one of the tags that I had glued the plastic to create a window. Once dry I added a variety of sequins, seed beads and a couple Spring like buttons and adhered the other tag with the plastic to create a shaker tag.

I adhered the paper leather to each side of the shaker tag.

I added flowers, button and pearl sprays to the front of the shaker tag.

I covered two of the tags with some gorgeous Karen Foster Easter cardstock and the inserts from the window tags I embellished with a bunny diecut that I had received in a swap. All I had to do was add a mini white pom pom for a tail to finish it off.

I tied all of the tags together with seam binding. I kept embellishments to a minimum since I plan on adding photos either from my Instax printer or from my phone. The two little dangly tags are from swaps too and I thought where a perfect addition. I love how the ink sheets made the paper leather have a “old and gilded” look which compliments the other elements in this mini.
Be sure to hop on over to Eileen’s blog to see what the other inspiration team members are up to and if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thank You, Flowers and a Bird Nest

Hi everyone! I am here to share a quick card I created for a challenge over at Crafty Secrets August Challenge. I clipped from the Birds and Blossoms printable the little girl with bird nest image and  adhered to a 4″x6″ card base which I cut from the Heartwarming Vintage Collection Pastel Paper Pad. I glued a variety of strips of cardstock to the front of the card along with the little girl image.

I added paper flowers and other bits and baubles to finish of this adorable thank you card. If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Sunday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Sugar and Spice

Hi everyone! I’m here to share a mini recipe album I created for Canvas Corp’s Save a Recipe Challenge. I started with two of the Black and Ivory File Folders as the cover of for my recipe album.
First I cut the tab off of the striped folder.

Score at the fold 1/4″ three times on the back side of the striped folder.

The diamond pattern folder cut one inch off the tab end and scored 1/4″ four times on the front side of the folder. Measure and mark 1 1/2″ three times down spine of folder and punch for a total of six tiny holes.

Run three Small Binding Rings through the holes.

Adhere the diamond folder on top of the striped folder.

Now for the fun part I decorated the cover with a doily, twine, flowers, a mini Recipe Card and black tulle along with a flour sack, baking powder and barely pears that I fussy cut from the General Store on Ivory Cardstock

I also used the following Tattered Angels Glimmer and Chalkboard Mists ( Moss, Mint Julip, Ruby Red Slipper, Monolith) to add a little to color to the images I fussy cut. The flour bag I also tied red burlap thread to the ends of the bag for a fun look. I added the fork and spoon from the Cutlery Set to finish off the cover.

I cut a sheet of the Bake and Can Recipe Cards a part, punched holes and added to the album and the inside cover is decorated with the Farmhouse Kitchen Stripe Cardstock.

Also I forgot to mention on the front cover I cut and adhered a 1 1/2″ x5″ piece of Black and Kraft Mini Dot Reverse Cardstock on top of the doily before I added all the other embellishments. I punched a hole on the overlapping tab and also punched a hole in the crease and threaded twine though both holes and tied off to create a closure.
If you have any questions about this recipe album please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoy creating!

House Warming Invitations

Hi everyone! I am here to share three cards I created for a Canvas Corp crew challenge.

I used the 6″x6″ Black & Kraft Cardstock Paper Pack which is perfect to make 3″x6″ card bases with. The photo below is how I created the “peaks” of the house roof and once I measured and cut I folded sides to the inside of the card and adhered the edges along with the bottom edge to create a pocket.
I painted the Farmhouse Christmas Holiday Door Tag with Silk Glimmer Mist and Mint Julip Glimmer Mist…I sprayed this on a deposable tray and then painted onto the door. The wreath I used Moss Glimmer Mist and I let the tags dry.

I used scraps of Blue & Ivory Mini Dot Reverse, Green & Ivory Dot Reverse, Tan & Ivory French Script and I used the back side of Santa’s Journey: Roof Top Cardstock to decorate the doors and to create banners for the welcome sign which was printed from the computer. Also I pulled threads from a piece of Natural Burlap to make the bows which I adhered to the bottom of each roof.

I added to the roof of each house scraps of lace, pom pom trim and rich rac and then finished off with buttons, sequins and a flat back pearl. The invite I printed from the computer and then cut to size to fit inside of the house.
If you have any questions about this project please let me know.
