Pencil Pocket

Hi everyone! I am back with yet another project from Eileen Hull’s newest Heartfelt Diecut Collection. This time I decided to create a pencil pocket with the Journal Diecut and the best part of this is there is no sewing involved whatsoever. 😀

I started by cutting two Journal Diecut Covers from Canvas.

I pinned one side of the pocket cover down past the holes to create a flap.

I ran a line of 3 in 1 adhesive around the edge of the pocket that has the flap and then lined up and placed on top of the other and firmly pressed down to make sure the adhesive stuck together.

I added Pom Pom trim around the outer edge of the pocket.

On the back side of the pocket I added a decorative trim to cover the little holes. 😊

On the front of the pocket I adhered a large piece of lace over the top of the folded side.

Last but not lease I added three sets of velcro dots to the pocket. Now I have a stylish pencil carrier to hold all my goodies. You can see what the Eileen’s Inspiration Team has created with these diecuts HERE and HERE. Also if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is awesome and enjoying!

Canvas Christmas Ornaments

Hi everyone! I am back with part two of my Christmas ornaments that I created from the Farmhouse Christmas Fabric Panel. I used the following Tattered Angels glimmer and Chalkboard mist: Crushed ShellsOlive Vine, Rum Punch and Monolith which I spritzed each color into bowls and added a couple of drops of water to each one. I then painted each of the images I selected from the fabric panel. I let each one dry.

I then fussy cut each image out.

I cut a 6 inch piece of Natural Jute for each ornament which I folded and placed on the back side of the ornament and then I applied Mod Podge to the back and placed the Lime Green Canvas over that and let dry. Once dry I fussy cut around the image of the ornament.

I then applied more Mod Podge to the front and back of the ornament and let dry. This seals and keeps it from fraying.

I used scraps from the following cardstocks: Red and White Mini Dot Reverse, Lime Green and White Dot Reverse, Lime Green and White Ribbon Stripe and Red and Green Pin Dot on White cardstocks to decorate some of the ornaments with.

I love this little reindeer with his fancy collar and bow tie. I can hear the song…Ruldoph with your nose so bright 🙂

This ornament I actually cut two different images out and put together. I love the way it turned out.

There you have it six different ornaments ready when December gets here to put on the tree or add to packages. If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Friday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Canvas Corp: Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

Hi everyone! I’m here to share my very first project as a Marketing Contributor:Papercrafts for Canvas Corp. The whole CCB Crew was given a 4×4 Stretched Natural Canvas to decorate anyway we wanted as long as it represented me/my style. Well, this is what I came up with. First I spritzed with both, Bahama Blue Glimmer MistMint Julip Glimmer Mist on the canvas and let dry.

I used a combination of Maritime 6×6 Paper PadPoses and Reflections Gypsy Moments CardstockConservatory 6×6 Paper Pad, to decorate the front and sides of the canvas along with a few embellishments I had on hand.

This is one of my favorite sayings and knew it was the perfect choice to be included. The gems that I used on the butterfly as its body is from an old prom dress.

The dancer I fussy cut from the Poses and Reflections Gypsy Moments Cardstock and I added the butterfly wings which I cut from the Conservatory 6×6 Paper Pad. I finished her off with a little banner I cut from scraps, beads and twine.
This is the first time I have ever had a chance to decorate a canvas and let me tell you. I am hooked!!! I had so much fun with this that I bought some more to try my hand at…so stay tuned to see what I come up with on those. 😉
If you have any questions about this project please let me know.
