Hi everyone! I’m here to share a quick project I created for Eileen Hull’s August Choose Your Own Theme Art with Heart Challenge. It seems like the last couple of months I have got my project finished only hours from the deadline but I have had my son’s wedding which I had to create fans since it was an outside wedding and the usual home stuff, plus starting phase two of remodeling…scraping popcorn off of the ceiling…pray for me ;-D and crafts for other design teams. But hopefully I can get back on track and knock the coming months out in plenty of time. 🙂
I used the Eileen Hull’s Candy Drawer which I cut from mat board and covered it with the 7 Gypsies Conservatory 6″x6″ Paper Pad Collection.
I distressed and inked smaller pieces of the Conservatory Collection and adhered randomly to the drawer. I didn’t like the finish of the drawer pull so I painted and applied a coat of Tattered Angels Champagne Glimmer Glaze and let dry before attaching to the drawer.
I added velvet trim and a couple of buttons to the bottom of the box.
A look at the back of the drawer…I tried to use all of the leftover scraps. I love the patchwork effect!
I punched flowers and leaves from 7 Gypsies Venice Collection (discontinue), shaped and then added tulle, twine, thread and dew drops to finish off this drawer. There you have it a vintage drawer with an autumn twist. If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is wonderful and enjoy creating!
Hi there! What a busy month this has been!!! I’m still in the middle of remodeling my bathroom and having back problems to boot…it bites getting old…which makes it hard to sit, move or do much of anything.
I do want to share some photos of a junk journal I created along with a short video of the 132 pages that are inside.
Also I am submitting my journal for Eileen Hull’s Art with Heart “Anything Goes” Challenge that is going on this month. I had begun a ATB at the beginning of the month and it just wasn’t coming together so I put it aside. I have learned hard lessons from trying to force creativity when it just isn’t there and have came away with a ruined project. So maybe later something will click and I’ll finish it.
I hope you enjoy the video. I had to learn how to use Adobe Element by myself…lots of trial and error on my part…but I think the video turned out ok considering. 🙂
I added two signatures which was 16 papers in one and 17 papers in the other signature which is 132 pages front and back.
The pocket watch is a Tattered Angels chipboard piece that I painted with some Tim Holtz Distressed Crackle Paint, added a Marion Smith bunny image and finished off with lace, buttons, dew drop and flowers.
Pages and pages of fun crafty goodness!

I had received the green tea bag and the tea cup brad in swaps and I was glad I was able to use them on this page. The Mad Hatter image is from a collage sheet I got from Altered Pages.
