Her Heart was a Secret Garden Journal Page

Hi everyone! I’m back with a semi quick (lots of fussy cutting) journal page I created using Eileen Hull’s Snail Mail Everyday Sentiments Stamps by Maker Forte.

I placed the grid stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inked with a Dark Brown Chocolate Ink and stamped a piece of Cream Cardstock. Once dry I cut off the off the cream colored edges. As you can see I accidentally got ink in one of the boxes when I stamped the image but no worries it will be covered.

I gathered up scraps of patterned cardstock, a flatback pearl, resin flower, thread and I fussy cut images I had printed from itKuPiLLiimaginarium on Etsy.

I also used a small heart die from the Mitten Box Diecut and the leaf sprig die from the Folio Page Pocket and Flowers Thinlits to decorate page.

Now all I have to do is add it to my art journal that I’ve been slowly filling. If you would more inspiration stop by Eileen Hull’s blog to see what her team has been up to. You can find her blog HERE.

Happy 8 Journal Page

Hi everyone! If you remember a week or so ago I shared the Vintage Girls and Flower Page (you can find that post HERE) and I wanted to share another page I created for my journal with you all today.

I wanted to create a page to commemorate mine and my husband’s anniversary. I dug into my stash and grabbed a wedding couple from a pack of the Paper Dolls, some markers and colored the bouquet of flowers, the head band and the boutonniere.

I used a scrap of patterned cardstock as the base for my page and more leftover cardstock, a lone diecut and half of a doily to decorate the page.

I found a marriage license that I had printed off but never used. I adhered the wedding couple to the printable and glued to the page.

I diecut the Happy and number 8 diecuts out and adhered toward the bottom corner of the page. I also cut one small flower from the Folio Page, Pocket and Flower Thinlit Diecuts, shaped with a Stylus and added a leaf from a punch and placed onto the number 8.

There you have it! If you have any questions about this page please let me know.

Vintage Girls and Flower Page

Hi everyone! I wanted to hop on today and share a page I created using stickers, scraps of cardstock and scrapbook paper I have laying around along with flowers and leave diecuts from the Floral Garden Diecuts Set…those where in my stash of scraps and leftovers.

I started with a 3 3/8″x5 3/8″ patterned cardstock as the base for my page. Next I placed a circle punch that had been embossed onto the center of the base and a sticker down the side (Apologies for the dark looking photo I really thought I had taken a better photo than that.) It’s ok that the sticker is hanging off either side of the base because I will be adhering the finished project to a page in one of the journals that I have created…I’ll share more later on which journal I will be using.

The images of the vintage girls are from a piece of wrapping paper I had started fussy cutting but didn’t finish. I finished fussy cutting those out and then I went through my stash to figure out what scraps and stickers I wanted to include on the page.

I adhered bits of cardstock, banner diecuts, heart punch and diecut images to the base. I added an assortment of patterned paper to the girl images before applying Foam Pop Dots and placing on the base.

I shaped the flowers and leaves diecuts from the Floral Garden Diecuts Set and glued to the page along with thread bows, gems in the center of the flowers and a leftover gem swirl from my stash.

I can’t wait to add this to the first page in my journal! I’m still deciding if I ought to wait and do a complete reveal of what journal I chosen to work with or share again (hint this is a journal that I posted about last year). Also I’m going to add a couple more embellishments to the cover of my journal….to me it looks bland. Let me know in the comments below share now or wait for a completed journal reveal.

As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Singapore Love Art Journal Style

Hi everyone! I’m sharing my first double page spread from my diary I altered. I’m in a group over on Swap-bot were instead of sending your journal off for someone to alter they send you an envelope of, generally a theme, of scrapbook paper, images and bits and pieces of goodies. I received an envelope from Mag who lives in Singapore. How she had the envelope decorated was so much fun. I just couldn’t throw it away so I used the stamps, custom form, deco tape and address label and created my page. I did use a few of the items she included and I used some of my own dot stickers and this is what I came up with.

I‘m still working on the front cover of my journal. I feel it lacks something but once I do finish it I will share. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!!!

Air Mail Art Journal Page

Hi everyone! I’m just dropping by for a “quick share” of another art journal page I created. I’m still using up stickers from The Robin’s Nest Stamp Tag Kit…stamp, post mark and circles…and I also used from my Robin’s Nest stash white alphabet stickers which I inked with Versa Magic Aloe Vera Chalk Ink.

I used Tattered Angels Vintage Seasons Timeless Romance wings stamp to make the stamp look like it was flying and Fancy Pants Delights circle stamps on top of the circle stickers to add some extra interest.

I raided my scrap bin of scrapbook paper and also included a piece of a dictionary page and a page from a book on roses to finish off this page.

I hope your day is wonderful and thanks so much for stopping by. As always I hope this inspires you to create something fun!!!

Fly Away With Me Journal Page

Hi there! I want to share a quick post with everyone. I had stickers from the Stamp Tag Kit leftover from one of my projects I created for the Robin’s Nest and I wanted to see if I could somehow incorporate them in a journal page. I started out with a junk mail envelope as the base to start my page with.

I used bits of scrapbook paper, bit of lace, stamped images…fancy pants Delights stamps and the small butterfly stamp is from Christy Tomlinson… and a piece of an old dictionary page.

I had a #8 tag that I had painted, stenciled and then I sprayed with Perfect Pearl Mist that I wanted to somehow include on the page too. I used the brownish round sticker, blue chipboard tag…which I inked…and the blue and yellow Dew Drops from the Robin’s Nest Stamp Tag Kit to embellish with.

Here’s a close up of the swirl tag that is included in the kit. I used the “leftover” of a circle I had punched out to highlight the word approved on the page.

If you get a chance please stop by the The Robin’s Nest website and check the sales they are having on the tag kits for the month of January. Also be sure to check out their blog regularly to see what everyone on the design teams is creating.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires to create something fun!!! 🙂
