Whispers of Love Note Pad Holder

Hi everyone! I’m back this week with a fun little notepad holder I created with Eileen Hull’s newest Gift Box with Scallop Edges and Label Diecut and part of her oldie but goodie Trinket Box and Frame Book and Pages Diecut.
I started by applying Adhesive Sheets to both sides of the Mat Board and placed the cardstock from Whispering Love Paper Pad on top of the matboard. I cut one side and two of the larger scalloped edges from the Gift Box with Scallop Edges and Label Diecut. I cut one square with the small flap off with a Paper Cutter and folded both small flaps. This will create the bottom of the box.
I completed the same steps for applying adhesive sheets to mat board and cardstock and cut two hinges from the Trinket Box and Frame Book and Pages Diecut. I cut a little off of the top of each one and one of the folded edges and then folded each side.
I adhered both hinges to each side of the box.
I cut a piece of patterned cardstock to fit the bottom of the box and adhered to the small flaps. The two scalloped edges I adhered to the bottom of the box. 
I adhered Ric Rac, added flowers from my stash and fussy cut a couple of leaves from the Whispering Love Paper Pad and glued to the back of the larger flower.
I punched out a few leaf sprigs and shaped and added to the smaller flowers. I tied a bow in cording and another bow in thread and added along with a little piece of lace to finish off the holder.
Instead of adding a note pad I think I will use it for the time being to hold my set of tags. As always if you have questions about this project please let me know.

Beach Babe House

Hi everyone! I am back this week with a new project for Eileen Hull’s Inspiration Team! I used Eileen’s newest diecut, House Ornament Diecut, from the Chapter 3 Collection and I went with a beach theme for my little house using the Tutti Frutti 6’x6″ Paper Pad and the Tutti Frutti Decorative Brads by My Mind’s Eye.

I started by cutting out two house diecuts from Mat Board with a Diecut Machine. With a pair of Scissors I cut one of the bottom flaps off since it won’t be needed. I adhered the house together according to directions on the packaging.

I added White Frost Metallic Lustre to the smaller Vignette Base and let dry while continuing to work on the beach house.

The little window tag from the house diecut I inked with what was leftover on my Art Dauber and I also cut the cross section out from the window. From the Tutti Frutti 6’x6″ Paper Pad I traced and cut out a swimmer on a float and adhered to the back of the window. I made sure the face showed through the window. 
From the same paper pad I cut and adhered patterned paper to the roof but before adhering I inked the edges of the roof with chalk ink. I fussy cut an assortment of flowers and leaves out and adhered to the side of the roof.
I cut three flowers out from the Tag and Pocket Bookmark Diecuts. I slightly crumpled all three flowers and then shaped the edges with a Stylus. I added a brad from the Tutti Frutti Decorative Brads to the flower and adhered a bit of ribbon and yellow thread to the back before gluing to the roof.
I made a small bow with seam binding and covered the center of the bow with a brad from the Tutti Frutti Decorative Brads. I used a small amount of seam binding to tie the roof together and then adhered the bow on top of that. I added a small bow to the window tag and tied that around the seam binding bow. From the computer I printed the sentiment “Beach Babe” which I cut out and adhered to the tag. I fussy cut a small flower and leaves from the paper pad and added to the roof and the corner of the tag. I also added a couple small loops of thread to the corner of the tag.

I cut and adhered patterned paper from the same paper pad to the outside and bottom of the house. I adhered trim to both sides of the roof. I printed the Beach House sentiment and adhered to the front of the house and added blue gems to the top of the roofs on both sides and to either side of the sentiment.

Before adding the swim suit girl from the Tutti Frutti Decorative Brads I changed out the brad and I cut a small flower diecut from the same paper pad using the smallest flower diecut from the Tag and Pocket Bookmark Diecuts and added to the swim suit girl.

I added more fussy cut images from the paper pad to the bottom of the house.
For the life preserver I used a smaller circle punch and punched out the center first and used a larger punch to the punch out the life preserver.

I adhered the base to the bottom of the house and there you have it! Finished! Wouldn’t these make great gifts for small Christmas gifts or add a gift card for a house warming gift. Stars and Stripes Patriotic Girl Box

Hi everyone! I’m back this week with an easy 4th of July project I created using the newest Taos Petal Points Collection and the Mermaid Paintbox Collection by ColorBox. I also used some art screens, a rollagraph and Eileen Hull’s Stacking Drawer Diecut to create this fun little patriotic drawer. Lets get started!

I placed White Chipboard on top of Stacking Drawer Box Diecut and placed between cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine.

I placed the Stars Art Screen on top of the “sleeve” of the Stacking Drawer Box Diecut and inked an Art Dauber with Peacock Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection and ink over Stars Art Screen. Once I got the area I was stenciling covered I removed the art screen.

Next I placed the Lattice Art Screen on top of the front of the drawer diecut. I inked an art dauber with Chianti Pigment Ink from the Taos Petal Point Collection. I only inked the front of the “drawer” since that would be the only area seen. Once I completed that I removed the art screen.

I put the sleeve and drawer diecuts together according to directions on the diecut packaging. I cut cording long enough to tie a bow around drawer to keep closed. Next I cut s strip of blue cardstock and adhere around the center of sleeve and adhered red ric rac around blue cardstock.

I inked the Doll Faces Rollagraph with Wicked Black Pigment Dye Ink and rolled onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. I selected the side view face and cut out. I saved the other images for future projects. 😊

I inked the glass tray, added water and painted the face image with the following Inks: Mermaid Paintbox Collection: Face-Papaya Cream, Lips, highlight cheeks and side of nose with Berry. Taos Petal Point: Eyes-Turtle and Hair-Amber. 

I added a blue cardstock mat to the girl image and added Foam Pop Dots to back and place on top of drawer.

I adhered a piece of red tulle behind girl image and added buttons, stars, sequin and red flat back pearls to the top of drawer.  

I also added a cancelled U.S. postage stamp to upper corner of box for some visual fun. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

The Bloom House

Hi everyone! I am back with a fun little project I created for ClearSnap!

I placed the House/Pocket Stitchlit Diecut on top of the Watercolor Paper and placed in between cutting plates and run through a Diecut Machine. I cut out two House/Pocket diecuts. I placed watercolor paper on top of the smaller “wall” of the Box, Make It 3D Diecut (retired) and placed in between cutting plates and run through diecut machine. I cut out two walls diecuts. I inked the Jumbo Crackle Background Rollagraph (I couldn’t find a link for the Rollagragh but found this CrackleBackground Molding Mat…same design) with Top Boss Clear Embossing Stamp Pad (Jumbo Handle doesn’t need ink cartridge) and roll over both house diecuts and “wall” diecuts. I applied White Embossing Powder, shook off excess and set with a Heat Tool.

I inked an Art Dauber with Dandelion Premium Dye Ink and applied ink to both houses and wall diecuts. Next I loaded an art dauber with Palomino Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and randomly apply to both the houses and walls diecuts. I adhered walls to the inside edges of house diecuts. 

I cut a piece of watercolor paper 1 1/2″x7″ and fold in half and inked a glass tray with Palomino and Cattail Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks, add water to both inks and painted both sides of the 1 1/2″x7″ watercolor paper. 

I inked the edges of roof with Platinum Pigment Ink and glued to the top of the house.

I placed the Textured White Cardstock on top of the Beaded Oval Diecut. Then placed between cutting pads and run through diecut machine. I loaded an Art Dauber with Mini Watermelon Classic Pigment Ink and inked edges of diecut. Next I inked an art dauber with Palomino Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink and lightly ink over whole diecut and adhered to the front of the house diecut.

I inked a scalloped circle and circle punches with Mini Watermelon Classic Pigment Ink and added to the center of the diecut on front of house. I adhered a flower punch to the center of punches, adhered a sequin and gem to the center of flower. I printed from computer the word “BLOOM”, cut out and ink edges with Mini Watermelon Classic Pigment Ink and added to house. I tied a bow from pink thread and adhere underneath flower diecut on the front of house.

Next I cut a 3″x5 3/4″ piece of watercolor paper and rounded the corners of paper with a Corner Rounder. I loaded an art daubers with Shamrock, Citronella and Palomino Dyestress Blendable Dye Inks and randomly inked over the watercolor paper. 

I loaded a paint brush with water and “paint over”  the inked paper and once dry adhered to the “tabs” on the bottom of house.

I placed textured white cardstock on top of Flowers Journaling Card Diecut and placed between two cutting plates and run through diecut machine. Next I cut a leaf from crinoline fabric using the same steps as used to cut out the flowers diecut.

I inked an art dauber with Mini Watermelon Classic Pigment Ink and inked the edges of two of the flower diecuts. Next I inked both the larger and smaller flower diecuts with Dandelion Premium Dye Ink. Next I inked the  crinoline fabric leaf diecut with Shamrock Dyestress Blendable Dye Ink. 

I shaped and adhered the flowers together and add leaf to the back of flower. I looped thread several times and create a messy bow and adhere to the corner of the house along with the flower and leaf and added a Glossy Dot to the center of flower before adhering to the house. 

I added a pre-made flower to the backside of the handmade flowers. I also shaped stem with a small wooden dowel.

Pretty Posies Trinket Box

Hi everyone! I’m back with the full reveal of one of my projects from Eileen Hull’s newest diecut collection! This diecut is called the Trinket Box Diecut and this project along with the other Inspiration Teams projects were shown at Creativation! So exciting!


I cut two sides of each for the bottom and top parts and a top and bottom from Matboard. I also inked the outside edges of the lid and bottom. I used the Authentique Imagine Paper Collection to cover the inside and outside of my trinket box. I added the clasp to the lid and bottom. 
And the hinges I had in my stash. I measured, punched holes and added those instead of the hinge diecuts that you can cut from the diecut. 
I added the “feet” to the bottom of the box and corner protectors to the corners of the lid. I adhered Pom Pom trim around the top and bottom of the box.
Inside the box I adhered patterned cardstock and added trim around the edges of the lid and bottom of the box.
I adhered an assortment of patterned cardstock, vellum and lace to the top of the box. I added a paper doily from my stash.

The leaves and flowers are from the Journaling Cards, Flowers and Leaves Diecut and are cut from crinoline fabric. I inked the flowers with Sunshine Blends Ink and the leaves are inked with the Frog and Leaf Blends Inks. I also added store flowers from my stash and twine to finish off the lid. Jute Fairy

Hi everyone! I want to share another project I created a few months ago but wasn’t able to share until now. I used jute matboard from Crescent and Eileen Hull’s Canning Jar 3D item # 658453 (this diecut is retired), Heart and Flower and Spring Leaves diecuts.

I put everything together according to the directions. I shaped the flowers and added buttons to the centers, along with twine and pearl sprays.

The little girl image I printed from the internet and the Fairy Wings I purchased from Altered Pages. I fussy cut everything out.  I added a little crumpled tissue page inside the jar and then I adhered the little girl, wings (I lightly added Stickles to the wings), moss and lace.

I  cut and adhered Gold Cardstock lid, lace and grim trim to the jar.

Witch Candy Box

Hi everyone! Today I am here to share my Inspiration Team project this month for Eileen Hull. This month’s theme is Halloween and Holidays and I decided to try and create a little witch from the Cookie Box diecut to hold candy in. 

First I cut the cookie box from Mat Board and assembled according to directions.  I used black mat board which is no longer available from Sizzix but you can paint or cover with cardstock.

For the hat I cut from Purple Crackle Glitter Cardstock a Cone diecut ( and assembled) a Scalloped Circle and a 1 1/2″x4″ piece of Halloween Stripe Glitter Cardstock (I used the lime green side of the cardstock) for the face.

I centered the cone in the middle of the scalloped circle die  and adhered to the scalloped circle. I cut a two inch wide piece of black tulle and tied around the cone to create a band. Next I cut out several Romance Flowers diecuts from Orange Crackle Glitter Cardstock and lightly wet, crinkled and let dry before putting together. I added a Dew Drop to the center of a few of the flowers.
I cut a Spring Leave diecut from the Moss Green Glitter Cardstock, lightly wet, shaped and let dry. I used the Twist and Style Craft Tool to create some “twigs” and then I adhered everything to the brim of the hat.

Next I cut several 1/4″ strips of Black Bats Glitter Cardstock, crinkled and adhered to either side of the witch’s face. 


For the face I used white sequins, Men’s Dew Drops, a green gem for the eyes and nose. The mouth I punched out a small scalloped circle and then used a circle to punch out a small section that looks like teeth.

Fall Fairy on Wheels

Hi everyone! I am here to share my project I created for Eileen Hull’s Inspiration Team. This month we are showing how to use the Twist and Style Tool. You can do all sorts of fun things with this tool…jewelry, create stems for flowers, etc.

For my project I started by cutting from Matboard the “drawer” from the Candy Box Drawer diecut. I embossed the drawer with Honeycomb Embossing Folder and spritzed both sides with the following Tattered Angels mists: Walnut Gold, Bronze and Tattered Leather. I then put the drawer together according to directions.

Next I cut four 8 inches of 20 gauge jewelry wire, folded in half and put each end through the button holes. To use the Twist and Style tool you can watch the how to video HERE.

Once I got all the buttons and wire twisted I cut the wire down to fit the bottom of the drawer to create wheels which I adhered to the drawer.

I printed a little girl image that I had found on the Land of Nod blog (which has since been deleted :-(). I fussy cut the little girl out, used butterfly wings from my stash, added a little Stickles to the wings and then adhered together and then placed in the drawer box.

I cut a Rosette from specialty paper, adhered to the top of the drawer a long with a small bead.

I twisted a few copper color wire on the Twist and Style tool and then I wrapped the wire around a small dow.

I added moss, a mini pinecone with an assortment of flower and leaf punches to the inside to finish off my little drawer on wheels.
